Bible Answer: At the time the prophesy was given Saul was in the loins of Jacob as we were in the loins of Adam at the time of the fall. So even though the prophecy was given to Jacob, the "house" of Jacob fulfilled it. Israelites are the decendants of Jacob - Israel. Not to be confused with Israelis.
