Bible Question: I'm looking for a verse that explains g-d giving the abillity to make decisions for ourselves. (i.e: not deciding for us.) |
Bible Answer: greetings Raistlin, I hope I understand your question correctly. I think we can start answering your question in Gen.2:8 " The tree oflife was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." By putting the tree in the garden God gave3 man a choice to obey or to disobey Him. Another example is the discourse between Jesus and the rich young ruler in Mat.16-22 Where in the end the ruler has to make a choice between his riches and Christ. Another place we can see this principle is Romans 10:13 "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Ifyou have the option to call on the name of the Lord then you oviously have the option not to call on His name. Hope this helps. tgc |
