Bible Question: We hear more and more about cloning. It's already happened in the animal world. Will human cloning be next? How would this impact the Christian community? Should human cloning be encouraged? Legalized? Would a human clone have a soul and spirit? What is your sense of what the Bible may or may not say, explicitly or implicitly, about human cloning? Do you think this is a vital issue for Christians to become involved in?What say ye all? |
Bible Answer: Hank, this is an issue to which I've given little or no thought. But I would say in general, the field of medical ethics is running far behind new discoveries and innovations in medical science. This may sound like I'm stating the obvious. Maybe so. But I think it is not yet obvious to everyone, neither to the general public nor to medical scientists themselves. --JVH0212 |
