Bible Question: So if she is to take the bible literal, she should only be eating food that comes form the trees not soy milk and vegan burgers etc or even ground bearing vegitables or roots? Correct? Do you believe they had fire? She also thinks every thing should be raw but I know she uses her stove. |
Bible Answer: Clearly, God intended for mankind to be vegetarian as you can see from the following verses and note that it's not just fruit, but "every seed-bearing plant". Genesis 2:9 says this: And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Then in Genesis 2:16,17 it says: And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; (17) but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." In Genesis 1:29 this is what God intended for Adam and Eve to eat. 29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. Even the animals were to be vegetarian as noted in this verse from Genesis 1:30. "And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so. |
