AMPLIFIED 2015 2015	Genesis 19:30 ¶ Now Lot went up from Zoar, and lived in the mountain together with his two daughters, for he was afraid to stay [any longer] in Zoar; and he lived in a cave with his two daughters.

Bible Question: Are there any Moabites and Ammonites living today?

Bible Answer: Amman, Jordan -- the capital city, whose name is taken from the same root as the name of the Ammonites. Don't know if you would call them Ammonites, but it seems that they may still be around. Concerning the Ammonites, the Lord instructed the Hebrews this way:

Deuteronomy 2:19 'When you come opposite the sons of Ammon, do not harass them nor provoke them, for I will not give you any of the land of the sons of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot as a possession.'

Today Jordan is one of the Arab nations which is moderate and desires peace in its relationship with Israel, having concluded some pacts of friendship already.
