Bible Question: This is about homosexuality. I like someone of the same sex, and it really isnt something I chose to do. It isnt like i woke up one day and was like "hey i like this person." So I guess my question is, is it a sin to like someone of the same sex |
Bible Answer: PART A: The Answer It is a sin. PART B: Understanding The Problem Homosexuality is what is labled as a "spirtual Stronghold". Which essentially means that it takes more than Human will and motivation to get out of it. Th Bible intructs according to Mark 9:29 That certain things are only destroyed by prayer and fasting. PART C: The solution Don't worry according to 1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." Which means that what happing to you has happen to numerous other people. The scripture continues to say that God has and will provide a way so that you can avoid sexual sin. If it is trully your desire to abdicate from this individual you must be willing to resist this demonic force, then cling to God. James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. PART C: Reconciliation to God Spirtual law demands that every sinner pay for his sin. However, if you have accepted Christ's sacrifice on the cross for sin, redeeming mankind; you need only follow the first letter of John's Intruction: 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. God will quit loving you, only when you quiting loving him. And when you come to your senses you can know he'll always be right there. |
