Bible Question: I am referring to the "LAW" of Moses. |
Bible Answer: Hi, Lali, ............ I hope these verses will help: ........... Rom 2:14 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, Rom 2:15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, Rom 2:16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus. .............. Man is the image of God. As such he is a moral being after his Creator. Even though a man has never been exposed to the written Law, as the image of God he makes moral judgements. Sometimes those moral judgements agree with God's law. God will also judge man by the judgements a man passes on others. Matt 7:2 "For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." ........... So, even by their own standard the Sodomites would no doubt would have been justly condemned. But to degree that they instinctively knew the law of God, they were justly condemned, even though at this point the Ten Commandments hadn't been written. In this case what Paul says in the verses I quoted above applies. |
