Bible Question: Why does God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, when he gives other people a chance to repent? I was confronted with this question, and I had no answer. |
Bible Answer: Sims Lets think about this question. "How come?" Doesn't the question itself imply something may be wrong? Would everyone feel better if the Bible recorded that God had pleaded with them for 300 days and nights before He acted? Would every one be satisfied if God detailed the act of perversion they committed instead of showing how sick they were by seeking after the Men God sent, rejecting the women offered them? Would it change anything? Would not doubters than ask yes but how did God warn them, or were they committing sodomy and homosexuality because they prostitutes and not really in love, or any of some many ways to suggest God was intolerant and man in his perversion was some how right. Is it not enough for the Bible to say God is Just? We must believe that truth instead of looking to manufacture instances where it doesn't appear to be true. EdB |
