Bible Question: Who was the LORD (the Almighty God) to whom this verse refers? Is He God the Father, God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit? Which God appeared and talked to Abram? |
Bible Answer: Genesis 17:1 is referring to the almighty God of the Bible who has a personal name. (Palms 83:18) Jesus himself referred to his Father as "the only true God."(John 17:3)The true God said of himself: "Besides me there is no God." (Isa 44:6)And the Apostle Paul wrote concerning him, "there is one God the Father." (1 Cor 8:5,6) |
