Bible Question: please tell me if we are under the law of the church to give tith, or it is as we please and from the heart and as much as we can even if it is not our full tith. thank you |
Bible Answer: farzaneh hello! It's not do we have to give our tithe. It's a matter of heart. In the Old Testament Gods people are directed to give there tithe. Read Ge 14:20,28:22 Le27:30, 2Chr 31:5,Mal 3:10 All these verses address the giving of the tithe. Lets forward to the time of Jesus. While Jesus is the fullfillment of the law. We gotta understand that there are things that were not discontinued. Our tithe being one of them. It's a matter of heart. Mk 13:41-43 The Widow gave every thing she had. That was her heart, not the requirement of the law. God is not asking you to give everything, but check your heart. Everything we have belongs to God in the first place. 2Cor 9:7 purpose in your heart what you can and are willing to do and go to God with it. Then stand by it and watch how much God will bless you. But do it because want not because you have to. God will always take care of you. Phil4:19 God will supply all your need. God isn't a scrooge. You wont be disappointed.
