NASB | Genesis 1:7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 1:7 And God made the expanse [of sky] and separated the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so [just as He commanded]. |
Bible Question: Can anyone direct me to a resource that gives an explanation of the extreme ages in the OT, other than the "Vapor Canopy"...just curious as to what theories are floating around. |
Bible Answer: According to Walter Brown's hydroplate theory, the Earth's crust once floated upon a thin layer of water which was under great pressure. Further, I feel that any speculation that is beyond the information which God decided was necessary is likely to be risky. Tim |
