Genesis 1:5 And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. |
Bible Question:
Looking for any insight anyone might have on why it's important that God began the first day in the evening. Jews start their day in the evening, as per this verse. I'm leading a study called "A Day in the Life of a Successful Christian" organized according to the periods of the day, beginning in the evening. My main thought concernign the significance of beginning the day in the evening is that God cares for us even while we sleep. So I'm beginning my study talking about God's love and protection and how by deepening our appreciation for his love, we find the fuel to live a life of service. Thoughts? |
Bible Answer: this is just a thought, but before the first day was darkness and then the day was born. this darknes was a peparation time for the day to come. for planning. see Pslams 139. |
