Bible Question: Thats what I thought, but doesn't that cause a problem if everything God made was good, or is death good? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Diomede... Death is an act of mercy. For the reprobate it limits his ability to sin as much as he might. For the regenerate it is a rest and a reward. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. (Psalm 116:15) A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth. (Ecc 7:1) For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better. (Phil 1:21-23) You are right. God's creation is very good! He said that it wsa good! One day it will be restored, with the marring of sin eliminated (cf Romans 8:22-23, 2 Peter 3:10-12, Revelation 21 and 22). In Him, Doc |
