Bible Question: In the book of Genesis, it reads that God made man and woman on the sixth day(1:27), yet it also reads that He created Adam on the second day(2:70).My question is,"Why is the creation of man and woman noted on two different days?" |
Bible Answer: Hello rayanez, I guess the following statement, "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. 2 Tim 4:3a NIV", that kalos points out disqualifies me from giving a reasonable answer as it may be seen as "not sound doctrine" by the many. My answer to your question is that Adam was an eighth day creation, other men and women were created previously. I and a few others see these accounts in Genesis 1 and 2 as a continuation of the creation account. Two questions I would like to have answered is, "Where in scripture does God have a point gone over to explain in greater detail other than the supposed Genesis 1, and 2 accounts?", and "Is there an example for us to take the position that Genesis 1, and 2 are the same accounts?". In the account in Gen.1:26,27 this man and woman were spoken into existance, and in the Gen.2:7 the man was formed out of the dust of the ground, and in Gen.2:5 states that there was not a man to till the ground. Adam was a farmer, these created in 1:27 were hunter, gatherers. Then we have in Gen 3:1, the serpent, Ok a talking snake, possibly the progeny of those John spoke to in Matthew 3:7, "you brood of vipers", Did John see and speak to snakes, or men? These other peoples are mentioned throughout scripture. wordoer |
