Here is another letter to the editor a friend of ours presented to us. What is the answer to why God would create the sun on the fourth day when it is our source of energy and so much larger than the earth? Why is the bible filled with statements implying the earth does not move, it has ends, corners, pillars and foundations?

Dear Editor,

The Theory of Creation is as the Theory of Evolution, just a theory. What people care to believe depends on their level of intelligence. The concept of Creation comes from primitive knowledge that is found in a book written 3000 years ago while the Theory of Evolution is supported by intellectuals grounded in modern science. Evolutionism may not be totally accurate or completely provable, but it is far more credible than Creationism.

Just look at Genesis 1:14-19. In it Moses, the inventor of Creationism, writes that God created the sun on the fourth day. Huh? The fourth day? In grade school we learned that the sun, being 1.299 million times larger than the earth, is the reason we have days and nights. How is it possible to have three days and three nights before the existence of a sun?

Further in this creationism book (1 Chr 16:30, Ps 93:1, Ps 96:10) you will find that it says the earth is stable and does not move. What? Does not move? Grade school science taught us the earth rotates on its axis at a speed of 1040 mph and the speed at which it revolves around the sun is 62,400 miles per hour. ???The earth cannot be moved???

The source of creationism is seriously flawed as it also says the earth rests on pillars, has foundations, ends and corners. Check it out; 1 Sam 2:8, Job 9:6, Ps 104:5, Dan 4:11, 2 Sam 22:16, Job 38:4-6,13, Isa 11:12, Eze 7:2, Heb 1:10 and Rev 7:1. It is mind boggling to see how so many people commit intellectual rape believing the fairy tale story of creation. How is it possible that an elementary knowledge of our world doesn't simply cancel the primitive science of ancient times and its confounding Theory of Creation?

My boyfriend and I are asking why is the bible not specific about our majestic sphere we call earth? Why do bible authors not talk about the extinction of many of God's creatures especially dinosaurs?
