Subject: Bible and evolution both? |
Bible Note: Greetings Stjones! I don't think we have ever interacted before, so greetings my new friend. I had a professor on college who believed like you do. I had two major problems with his view. 1) Theistic Evolution: The secular evolutionist would say, "Why throw God into the picutre." They have developed a picture of origins that (in their view) does not need God. 2) The Reality of Adam: My professor did not believe in a literal Adam and Eve. One may argue about the length of a day in Genesis, but Scripture is clear that God created a man named Adam and a woman named Eve. Adam was created as an adult male. Theistic evolution has to reject this point. This is my biggest concern with Theistic evolution. How would you deal with these two points? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
