Bible Question (short): How does sNeco have authority? |
Question (full): In 2Chronicles 36 it talks of Neco of Egypt having killed Josiah and now after dealing with Assyria comes back to Jerusalem and deposes Josiah's son, puts his (Jehoahaz's) in his place and then taking Jehoahaz home to Egypt, and later, Nebuchadnezzar comes from Babylon and takes Jehoiakim back to Babylon. I am wondering why and how do these men have any authority to do these things over the wishes of the people of Judah for their rightful king? |
