Bible Question (short): Why does God allow mass murder? |
Question (full): I cannot wrap my mind around this. In Genesis 38:9, God kills Judah's son Onan because Onan "emitted" on the ground instead of into his brother's widow. However, only a few chapters earlier (chapter 34), we see a story of Dinah. Dinah is violated, then her brothers kill every man in the town. How is it OK to kill every man in a city, but emitting on the ground is punishable by death from God? |
