in the Light
and there is no
1 John 2:10
The one who
unselfishly seeks the best for his [believing] brother lives in the Light, and in him there is no occasion for stumbling
offense [he does not hurt the cause of Christ or lead others to sin].

The key to understanding this and other statements about love is to know that this love (the Greek word
is not so much a matter of emotion as it is of doing things for the benefit of another person, that is, having an unselfish concern for another and a willingness to seek the best for another.
