That’s what its saying. Rev. 7:5-8 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. Romans 11:25-27 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. Greetings DannyD and welcome to the forum, In answer to your question I would say that the following verse would likely be the most pertinent when it come to telling the truth from “my point of view”. Liars being those that don’t tell the truth, as it were; God put them in a very precarious category! Rev. 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. It is generally understood that the forum doesn't get involved with home work assignments seeing that this would be a deception: I hope you haven't caused me to go against this concept? CDBJ |

965 | Rev 22:12 and post millennial judgement? | Revelation | CDBJ | 235973
Greetings, Hebrews 9:27 (NKJV) 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, Seeing as how this is the case when will those that are born during the millennium be judged seeing that they will be born with an old sin nature yet many will believed in Jesus? The only judgment mentioned in Scripture after that period is the white throne judgment, even though the dead unbelievers are judged then it is possible the those that believe in Christ during the thousand year reign might be judged at that time as well out of the book of life and for their works. Believers alive before the rapture will be judged for their works after the rapture and are judged at the (BEMA) seat of Christ and their works will be tried by fire, i.e. wood hay and stubble or gold silver and precious stones; this judgment is for rewards only. Christ says that He comes quickly and my reward is with me. Have a great day, CDBJ |

967 | Rev. 6:3 (bow) needs translation | Rev 6:2 | CDBJ | 194821
Hello Hank and welcome to the forum. I think it would be safe to conclude that one doesn’t become an authority on the Koine Greek by just reading Strong’s, even though it is a good reference book. Type the words “Greek TOXON” is your internet search engine and you can spend hours on the word toxon and they all point to the English translation BOW. Bible Background Commentary Rev 6:2. The very image of an archer on a white horse would strike terror into the heart of a pro-Roman reader. The only mounted archers of antiquity were the Parthians, whose tactics and skills had made them Rome’s most feared enemies; old Persian armies, whose heirs the Parthians were, always included sacred white horses. Although the Old Testament uses the “bow” as a symbol of judgment by battle more generally, Roman readers would think of this eastern nation that had defeated them in some recent wars; Parthians’ skill as archers was common knowledge. Other contemporary apocalyptic writers (Similitudes of Enoch) also suggested a dreaded Parthian invasion, hence ancient readers would have readily understood that this horseman meant conquest and war. I don’t know what translation you are using but I have access to over twenty some and they all say bow. If there would have been a variation in the translations I would have suspected something but since they all agree it would be pretty hard to be suspicious don’t you think? Have fun, CDBJ |

968 | People saved during the tribulation | Rev 7:9 | CDBJ | 225430
Greetings, I assume that you are referring to the verse in II Thes. 2 Thes. 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. There are many that get confused by this verse and that’s due largely to the fact that they don’t realize the period of time mentioned is also called the time of Jacob’s trouble. Jeremiah 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. Does this sound familiar, “! for that day is great, so that none is like it” Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. This time of trouble is only possible because the protector of God’s people is commanded to stand aside for the progression of Satan’s final fling before Christ neutralizes his demonic actions by His return. If one knows who the protector of God’s people is they would have the answer. Daniel 10:21 But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince. Daniel 12:1-4 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Did you notice the rapture in verse two? 2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. There is a one thousand year span between the first and last part of this verse. CDBJ |

973 | Rapture | Rev 20:1 | CDBJ | 214127
Greetings, I have been a Christian for well over 40 years now since I trusted in the finished work of Christ, and up until about 15 years ago I have been a staunch believe in the pretribulation position although there have been many questions that didn’t quite add up. I came across a book called, “The Rapture Question Answered” by Robert Van Kampen, ISBN 0-8007-5631-2, who shortly after writing the Book went home to be with the Lord as though his job here on earth was finished. His book couples all of the different assumptions that believers have concerning, what we call the rapture, and he causes all of them to fit into a very plausible outcome. This is the only book that I have read on eschatology that has answered the basic problems that I have found in my favorite subject in the Bible, future events. I have read countless books on the subject and this is the only one that has tied everything together. It’s actually an offshoot of his first book called, “The Sign” which is quite lengthy but very informative for one who is an ardent student of eschatology and who likes to study and dig out truth. There are no contradictions in God’s Word and until one finds the answers that cause all of scripture to fit, together in harmony they have not found truth. If in reading this book one “skips around”, they will not understand the truth it contains! I would consider it a must read for all believers, especially in the day and age that we find ourselves in! Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 2 Thes. 2:3 (A) Let no man deceive you by any means: CDBJ |

974 | Who are the Gog and Magog? | Rev 20:8 | CDBJ | 21371
(Gog and Magog) The prophetic name of the land from which Gog (Antichrist) will arise and establish the eighth and final beast empire of Satan, which will be composed of descendants of all of the previous beast empires except the first two; specifically the land where the Germanic descendants of Magog, Noah's grandson through Japheth, settled. (Ez. 38) (From the Sign Ministries) This is a very short answer for now but I hope it helps. CDBJ

976 | What are the books of Revelation 20:12? | Rev 20:12 | CDBJ | 232169
Greetings, The books are the books of the deeds or works that unbelievers are relying on to gain the approbation or approval of God and they are the antithesis to what Jesus did on the cross for their sins. Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; There won’t be any sins mentioned at the white throne judgment, they were all paid for by Christ as the lame of God which “takes away” the sin of the world. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. The only sin that Jesus didn’t pay for is the sin of rejecting Jesus as the Messiah and this one sin will condemn one to an eternal separation from God in the lake of fire! On the other hand those that have placed the “totality of their faith” in the finished work of Christ have their names written in the book of life! Have a great day, CDBJ |

977 | what does second death mean? | Rev 21:8 | CDBJ | 25043
Toto, I think the answer to your question lies within the understanding of the word death in the language of the original Koine Greek. The word that the English word death was translated from was the word THANATOS; it actually means separation. In physical death, the soul is separated from the body. In spiritual death, the soul is separated from God as in the case of all unbelievers even while they are alive physically. When we are born into this world we are born physically alive but spiritually dead, or separated from God; hence the need to be born again. At the point of physical death all unbeliever's souls go to a place of temporary abode, hell; this is spiritual death realized by the unbeliever, death number one. There is a time in the future when all those in hell will stand before God for judgment. The bases of this judgment will be their work, which will be found lacking in the balance compared to the work of Christ. They will be separated from God for a second time into the lake of fire forever. Thus, this is the second separation from the presence of God or spiritual death number two. It is my firm opinion that after seeing God face to face that this encounter will make the lake of fire much worse just knowing what they missed out on. It will be Jesus doing this judging because the father judges no man John 5:22. I hope this helps, CDBJ
978 | How do you know you have been blessed? | Rev 22:14 | CDBJ | 131010
There are verves of Scripture that tell us we are blessed if certain things have taken place. We aren’t necessarily blessed because we feel a certain way; we are blessed in reality because God has said so in His Word. Examples Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Romans 4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Ephes. 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Every one that is trusting in Jesus Christ, and the work He did on the cross, for their eternal life, are considered to be blessed of God. 979 | Conjecture or opening scripture? | Rev 22:19 | CDBJ | 160430
Greetings Loobylight, The book of Revelation is the only book in the Bible that carries a curse for messing up its contents. Rev. 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: [19] And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
