82 | covenant breakers... sign of our days | Matt 19:12 | teragram123 | 56195
Marriage is not between only two... but a three fold cord... Man/woman/ and God Malachi 2:14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. |

83 | covenant breakers... sign of our days | Matt 19:12 | teragram123 | 56194
Joshua 9:3-18 And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai, [4] They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up; [5] And old shoes and clouted upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and mouldy. [6] And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us. [7] And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you? [8] And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye? [9] And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the Lord thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt, [10] And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth. [11] Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us. [12] This our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy: [13] And these bottles of wine, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey. [14] And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord. [15] And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them. [16] And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them. [17] And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjath-jearim. [18] And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the Lord God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes. 2 Samuel 21:1-3 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. [2] And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.) [3] Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the Lord? God takes Covenant more seriously than man does. When a man/woman makes a covenant... God will judge accordingly! Eccles. 5:1-5 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. [2] Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. [3] For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words. [4] When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. [5] Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. This a sign of our days 2 Tim. 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, |

84 | Is "Revival" A Biblical Concept? | Ps 85:6 | teragram123 | 56017
Psalm 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Hosea 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Hosea 14:7 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. Habakkuk 3:2 O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. VERY BIBLE |

85 | What do the 120 years pertain to? | Gen 6:3 | teragram123 | 56015
It was fulfilled in Adam, and gave him 120 more years to live before being cut off. This word was given to Adam when he was 810 years old The meaning is, "for that he (Adam) is also flesh (as all other men are): yet his (Adam's) days shall be an hundred and twenty years" (Genesis 6:3).... 86 | Serious study on this passage | 1 Tim 3:2 | teragram123 | 55916
Since Paul was the writer of both the passage in question as well as this on... 1 Tim. 5:9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man, 10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. Why did Paul say so clearly what was meant for the widow? having been the wife of one man. Yet when it came to naming the qualifications for the leadership of the church he all of sudden is short on words. I find it hard to believe that he would not have said, “being the husband of one women at a time”, if indeed that was what he really meant. Adultery was the warning here... not polygamy. Where in Scripture does Paul spend energy writing to the Church concerning “multiple wives”... polygamy? But many times he touched on the problem of unfaithfulness and immorality. The word of God is clear to the pure in heart. But when we do not like what we are reading, or are not comfortable with it for our lives, it is tempting to wrestle the Scriptures to fit our situation rather that change our situation to fit the scriptures. It still remains true that at a village smith shop, many hammers have been worn out but the anvil still stands. 2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. |

87 | He wept not for their grief | John 11:35 | teragram123 | 55834
Joh 11:35 Jesus wept. Joh 11:21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. Joh 11:32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. I find it very interesting that Martha said the same thing to Jesus, but when Mary said it He wept. I find it difficult to believe He wept for their grief or pain, since He was about to do such a wonderful thing for them. John 11:15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. Why would He have wept? He knew why He was sent there by His father - to resurrect Lazarus! There was no reason for Him to weep over the grave of the one that would be up walking within the hour! Why would He weep for the loved ones that would be shouting glory in just a few minutes? However I do believe that her lack of faith is what cause His grief. Had she not sat at His feet more than Mary? Had she not known Him in a very personal friendship... she had received much from Him as her teacher and savior. He came expecting to find fruit of faith... more than that of Martha. To whom much is given, much is required. He was expecting more from her faith than He did from Martha. For the same reason teachers will be expected to have greater faith... "..Because a teacher has great influence, he will be held more accountable (see Luke 20:47; cf. Matt. 23:1-33)." "3:1 teachers. Since teachers use their tongues (to instruct others) more, they will be judged more strictly." (2) |

89 | Who is God using? | John 3:16 | teragram123 | 55761
This week in New York -- despite the warning received ten months ago on September 11, 2001 -- the United States came into one accord with the United Nations, the European Union and Russia in setting the stage for Israel to concede covenant land which was promised to her by God. Not only did Secretary of State Colin Powell effectively REVERSE President Bush's implied withdraw from endorsing a Palestinian State "until a change of Palestinian leadership" takes place, but on July 19 President Bush sealed the matter by reconfirming his commitment to establishing a Palestinian State WITHIN THREE YEARS. The spiritual covering over the United States was significantly weakened during the peace process in New York. America has now chosen her path, and this path will ultimately require a response from God. Unless America changes her present course, one can easily foresee severe natural disasters in the coming months... economic tensions, unprecedented earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other judgments as God lifts his hand of angelic covering from the United States of America. And what takes up the time of the Christians? Foolish debates on who God will use in these last hours. Just look at the volume of postings on such foolishness as does God put women into ministry... will God use a women? None of these lead to the saving of souls but are merely the puffed up minds filled with opinions. What witness is all of this to the JW’s that you have been debating? If God wants to use another dumb donkey to same my lost loved ones, I say so be it! Yes even a women would be fine with me if He so ordains her. The Pharisees would debate deep sayings but could not discern the signs of the times. Lets let God be God! If HE saves souls through a women, even if the PHARISEES say HE shouldn’t, who knows, that soul may be one of the two witnesses of the end times. No man comes to the Father except that the Spirit Draw, so if a women preaches and God saves, HALLELUJAH! It is God that gives the increase, and He is the judge of the work! A women is still the better choice than having to wait till the Rocks cry out. I have many lost loved ones that I really care less who God uses to save them. I really doubt that if any of those on this forum against women preacher, had a child drowning, you would not stop a women from throwing out the life line. Is not the soul worth more than the body? Time is running out, let your righteous energies be used for the Kingdom of God to the saving of souls which is His heartbeat. He will take care of the women who get out of their place. Sad to say though, God may very well be calling women to pick up the slack for too many men that have ran from the call for many years. Who is the Blessed of God... the one called or the one that obeys the call? It seems to me that Christians are too busy rearranging the pictures on the wall while the house is burning down. |

91 | Is tithing just O.T. or N.T. as well? | Matt 23:23 | teragram123 | 55713
Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's: it is holy unto the Lord. Leviticus 27:32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord. Proverbs 3:9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Ezekiel 20:40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord God, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things. Ezekiel 48:14 And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, nor alienate the firstfruits of the land: for it is holy unto the Lord. Romans 11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Luke 11:42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Many debates over the tithe being for the New Testament Christian. One thing if very clear... the tithe is the Lord's. The tithe is Holy. What would keep one from not tithing other that fear of doing without, greed, unbelief? Faith is what pleases God. |

92 | title deed to the world | Rev 5:1 | teragram123 | 55707
Cp to Jer 32.6-29... A purchaser of property, wrote the transaction on scroll and sealed with seal. If bankruptcy happens... and land must be forfeited, the title deed would be by Jewish law, to protect the property from being taken from the owners, would be writen on the back side to hold for 7 years, until the owner could redeem the property back. It was than sealed with 7 seals... at that time the seals would be broken and the land would be redeemed. This is a "title deed" that John saw... the title deed to the planet earth. This earth was originally given to Adam, to subdue and fill. He thru willing transgression, forfieited the ownership. satan legally owned the planet up till the time of the cross. A Roman will was sealed with 7 seals Adam was the best champion of mankind- made in the image of God, yet the best of man was not able to go to bat for the human race. Christ the Son of God- more than a mere image of God- but God in flesh/man- Emmanuel! Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; Christ knew satan's legal right to the world, He did not disbute the claim to the world. Also, I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world and I am coming to you. Holy Father, watch over them on account of your own name which you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are. |

96 | What day are we COMMANDED to gather? | Heb 10:25 | teragram123 | 55667
When we have to be commanded to assemble together... the love of the brethren is missing. Assembling of the body together is not for me to be or not be righteous. 1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? We assemble for the sake of others... Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. We assemble for the aid and comforting of others 2 Cor. 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. to encourage others to stay faithful... Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. When a selfish spirit is reigning... we only see why we ourselves benefit from the assembling together. Love thinks not of it’s self but of another’s welfare 1 Cor. 10:24 Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. Galatians 6:2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 1 Cor. 13:5 Love is ... not self-seeking |

97 | Question about Church on Wednesday night | Heb 10:25 | teragram123 | 55665
Wednesday Bible study is a blessing. It is not meant to cause quilt upon the young families. This is one place the older members of the Church body can help out by ministering to the kids and allowing a chance for young parents to be in the Bible study and be strengthened. It is amazing how much my girls (now my grandchildren) enjoyed their Wednesday night classes. Strive to get your children involved in their own classes. There may be times when they will be dragging you! |

98 | Is it a sin if you don't go to church? | Heb 10:25 | teragram123 | 55663
WHY DO WE ASSEMBLE TOGETHER? Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. It is not about me but the body as a whole. Ephes. 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: To be fitly framed together is to unify and aim for the glory of the Kingdom... not merely my will being done. We get no bonus point for going to church... we are the church going to minister and be ministered to. Ephes. 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Every joint (believer) is to supply something to the body... to build up the body for the work of God. Ephes. 4:16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. The body of Christ ministers to one another... we do not assemble for points toward our salvation or rewards in Heaven but to do the will of the Father... What we learn through life... we pass on to others... and the grace goes on and on 2 Cor. 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. Each member of the body ministers one to another... the five fold ministry unfolds to one another...1 Cor. 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. A Christian can not be an island... the fruit of the vine (Spirit) is produced in clusters. Anyone can be patient, kind, longsuffering, etc., when alone. But the true fruit of the Spirit is perfected in the assembling of ourselves together. For this very reason satan has strategically attacked the marriage unit. he knows that the smallest unit of the church body is the marriage... this is where he strives to weaken the body as a whole... weak couples, families make weak churches. Christ instituted the marriage as the symbol of Christ and the Church. The marriage is the hottest crucible of God... that produces the sweetest fruit for His glory. Is it a wonder that we see marriages attacked so today? |

99 | DISPENSATION - not a time frame | Eph 3:2 | teragram123 | 55660
DISPENSATION -Steward of the gospel... not a time frame as most often thought 1 Cor. 9:17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. Ephes. 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: Ephes. 3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward: Col. 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; oikonomia, Greek 3622, Strong’s - administration (of a household or estate); specially a (religious) “economy” :- dispensation, stewardship. Paul administrated , dispensed the gospel. He was a steward of the gospel. |

100 | GRACE more than unmerited favor | Eph 2:1 | teragram123 | 55659
GRACE - much more than unmerited favor... GRACE - charis, Greek 5485, Strong's especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; A more correct definition would be enabling power to fulfill the will of God. Grace can be seen in a believer... as the moon reflects the Sun... Acts 11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. The purpose of grace... 2 Cor. 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: Grace is "power"... "Response - Ability" We must be saved by grace... Ephes. 2:7-8 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace, which is the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Grace is power to do the will of God ... Ephes. 3:7-8 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. [8] Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; The grace is given according to the gift the believer is given... Ephes. 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Paul urged the believers to continue in grace... Acts 13:43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. Grace builds the body up... Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Grace is given to enable us to be obedient to the faith and be a testimony to the nations for the glory of God ... Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Holy communications minister grace (power) Ephes. 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. NIV... Ephes. 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Grace produces fruit... Col. 1:6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: Grace is given to us for acceptable and reverent service to God... Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: Grace must establish the heart... "make stable" Hebrews 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. Power is given to overcome the lustful nature within... James 4:2-10 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. [3] Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. [4] Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. [5] Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? [6] But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. [7] Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. [8] Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. [9] Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. [10] Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. Some use grace to fulfill their lust... Jude 1:4 For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. |
