81 | what dis Jesus mean "I thirst" | John 19:28 | heisthe1 | 40904
"I thirst" was posted yesterday, but here is a shorter version as what it means Jesus didn't accept a pain - numbing drink at the beginning of His ordeal (Mark 15:23), but now He accepts a taste of greatly diluted wine, to wet parched lips and a dry throat so He can make one final announcement to the world with a "great cry" IT IS FINISHED Praise God for His last words, and Resurrection. |

82 | Reasonable outcome for this verse? | Matt 5:37 | heisthe1 | 40902
Ray Here is a commentary that I recently read, it begins with verse 33 to 37. Jesus interprets the law concerning oaths a. The scribes and Pharisees had twisted the law YOU SHALL NOT TAKE THE LORD'S NAME IN VAIN to permit the taking of virtually every other name in a false oath. b. Jesus gets to the point: God is part of every oath anyway; if you swear by HEAVEN, EARTH, JERUSALEM, or even YOUR HEAD, you swear by God anyway - and your oath must be honored. c. But having to swear or make oaths betrays the weakness of your word; it demonstrates that there is not enough weight in your own character to confirm your words. i. How much better to let your YES BE YES and NO BE NO. Praying that this information gives light to what you are seeking. God Bless You as we celebrate OUR Lords Crucifixion and Resurrection. |

83 | Crusifiction of Christ | John 19:17 | heisthe1 | 40767
Your question is contradicting, scripture says Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Here are just a few of many that refer to the cross, John 19:17 thru 31. It doesn't matter (to me) what other denonmations teach, Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life....John 14:6. There is much to say as to why Jesus died on the cross, if you need more reference, ask, ok? One closing thought, "For the preaching of the CROSS is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God! 1Corinthians 1:18. Praise God as we remember the Road to Resurrection. |

85 | i want a in depth answer on romans 8:28 | Rom 8:28 | heisthe1 | 40609
God's help is an enduring promise, He has the ability to work all things for good and to see us through to glorification. God's sovereighty and ability to manage every aspect of our lives is demonstrated in the fact that "all things work together for good to those who love God" though we must face "the sufferings of this present time (8:18), God is able to even make those sufferings work together for our good and His good. God is able to work "all" things, not some things, He works them for good "together", not in isolation, this promise is for those who love God in the Biblical understanding of love, and God manages the affairs of our life because we are "called according to His purpose". The eternal chain of God's working is seen in the connection between FOREKNEW, PREDESTINED, CALLED, JUSTIFIED, and GLORIFIED, God hasn't begun a work in the Romans simply to abandon them in the midst of their present suffering. God loves the world, John 3:16, and does not want anyone to perish, 2Peter 3:9, but not everyone will respond to His calling. I'm praying that you have! God bless |

86 | John 19:28 relate to christians how? | John 19:28 | heisthe1 | 40607
Jesus didn't accept a pain-numbing drink at the begining of His ordeal (Mark 15:23), but now He accepts a taste of greatly diluted wine, to wet parched lips and a dry throat so He can make one final announcement to the world with a "Great Cry". Jesus final word it is "finished" (tetelestai) is the cry of a winner, Jesus had finished the eternal purpose of the cross. "How it relates to you" It stands today as finished work, the foundation of ALL Christian peace and faith. Bowing His head refers to a peaceful act, like laying down on a pillow to sleep, not hanging of the head in defeat. Gave up His spirit, no one takes His life from Him, He lays it down, and will take it up again. Gods Blessings and Peace |

88 | we only barely get into heaven by Jesus | 1 John 5:11 | heisthe1 | 40445

89 | Mission trips, questionable? | Phil 4:8 | heisthe1 | 40442
Malachi 3:8, Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. We are to be obedient in our thithes and offerings we are giving back what belongs to God, we are not accountable for the misuse of funds by the hands of unfaithful servants of God. As I have mentioned before, God will expose the wrong doings of others. God's work will be accomplished with or without us, doubt or no doubt, Guaranteed I suggest prayer. Pray that your pastor or leaders will always be led by The Holy Spirit, and have Godly wisdom. And finally you have the authority to bind the works of the enemy! Whatsoever things are....... God bless you. |

93 | Does Rev 22:19 teach loss of salvation? | Rev 22:19 | heisthe1 | 40268
Revelation 22:18-21 There is a sober warning here not to mess with Revelation! 1. Of course, anyone who would willfully and knowingly do this could not be saved! 2. It is also a warning to us who are saved, that God doesn't need any help with the book of Revelation, or for that matter any part of scripture! a. He wrote it the way He wants it!!! b. It will all become increasingly clear as we study and as time draws near for His imminent return! Praying that this gives a clear point of view. God Blessings. |

94 | Is the wedding feast symbloic or literal | John | heisthe1 | 40136
Let me go into a little more detail, Jesus and His disciples were invited to a marriage, now a marriage is a continuance of life of two people and a cause to celebrate. No matter how much we want life to go on we always run out, so was the situation at the wedding. They were celebrating with wine, wine representing life. Verse 4 Jesus says His hour has not come, He couldn't lay down his life (to give life). Verse 6, the six waterpots represents man, being created the sixth day. The waterpots were used for purifying, man cleansing themselves from the outside, but the inward man was not clean. Verse 7 Jesus said fill the waterpots (man) with water, water represents death, since God destroyed the world with water. Fill it to the brim, there is no righteouness in man at all, all the way to the brim. Verse 8 When Jesus speaks things happen. Jesus never went any where or did anything without a purpose! Verse 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted, you can't help but TASTE how good He is! He turned death into life, now man can go on into eternal life. That's all I have on that, Praise God. Thanks for responding. God is Awesome, Gods Blessings to You. |

95 | Is the wedding feast symbloic or literal | Not Specified | heisthe1 | 40043
The six waterpots that Jesus ask to have filled to the brim, were they in fact symbolic of man? Man was created on the sixth day? Was the Water symbolic of death? God destroyed mankind with water (except Noah) How about the wedding itself? Wasn't that symbolic of life? The fact that man was always celebrating new life, that always ended in Death! Jesus touching the water, is that symbolic of new life? The first miracle in one's life is the touch of Jesus, from death to life? These are some revelations that are on my heart! |

99 | If God gave us brains, why wouldn't he w | Mark 16:16 | heisthe1 | 39910
Let me explain...assume you have the brains God gave you and the power to think, and lets assume God puts you in a room and He tells you, as long as you leave the Light on you will be able to see and not run into objects or bump into them and hurt yourself, but you don't want to follow the crowd (Christians), so you turn the Light off, and you run into objects and bump into them and you hurt yourself....now who's fault is it that you got hurt? God doesn't condemns you, you do it to yourself! Just as I have done it to myself in the past, until one day someone told me that God really Loves me and I don't have to fight Him and hurt myself any longer. I accepted Jesus into my heart and asked Him to forgive me of my sins, He turned my whole life around! Now I don't need religion, I quit trying to be good and I began to be obedient to His will (the Bible) and started doing as His Word says to do. Has it been all fun? Let me say IT IS FULFILLING! No drugs or alcohol or any other thing that I've attempted in my past has been rewarding, as it is to live for God. The answer my friend to your question is JESUS! Please read Romans 10:9-10, and remember God Loves You........so do I. God Bless |
