82 | False Prophet? | Rev 20:10 | Thomas8 | 204424

83 | Similar verses? | Rev 10:1 | Thomas8 | 204416
Are these three verses connected? 10:1 I saw a mighty angel coming down out of the sky, clothed with a cloud. A rainbow (As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud (Eze 1:28a KJVR)) was on his head. His face was like the sun (Rev 1:16 Jesus face like the sun), and his feet like pillars of fire. (His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. (Dan 10:6 KJVR)) And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; (Rev 2:18 KJVR) |

85 | Define wine, please? | Rev 17:2 | Thomas8 | 204166
"drunk with the wine" Is the Greek word here used for the wine, that causes intoxication, the normal word used elsewhere for wine in the NT? Is there a word for wine that is unfermented grape juice?
86 | The Hat situation? | 1 Cor 11:16 | Thomas8 | 204159
Is this sarcasm? Is it like saying, If someone argues against church buildings then we don't have any buildings. Not in New York or Los Angeles or anywhere else. Which would mean, open your eyes and see what is taking place in all the assemblies. So, were the women wearing veils? When did it get modified to 'hats?' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veil |

87 | Rule with rod iron - who rules who? | Rev 2:27 | Thomas8 | 204157
Hi Makarios, I value your message, esp the references. In my opinion, start reading at v 26 about the believer and then you get .. And he (the believer) shall rule them with a sceptre (rod) of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, and [his (the believer's) power over them shall be] like that which I Myself have received from My Father; The believer's power shall be like Jesus'. I would truly value any comments on the Greek if the 'he' does or does not relate back to verse 26. |

90 | Two different groups of 144,000? | Rev 14:1 | Thomas8 | 204085
"Consider: the 144,000 sealed of Rev 7 will be chosen from the tribes of Israel. But according to Rev 14:4, this group of 144,000 are redeemed. They were "purchased,” (bought with the blood of Jesus) "from every tribe and tongue and people and nation." See Rev 5:9." Hi Mommapbs, Are you saying the 144,000 of ch 7 are not redeemed? Are you making the distinction on that one word? Bless you. |

98 | The 'us' and 'we' of verse 10 refer to? | Rev 5:8 | Thomas8 | 204035
My question concerns the 4 creatures and 24 elders (note my quotes to indicate them) and their song: 5:8 Now when he had taken the book, "the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders" fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 5:9 "They sang" a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: for you were killed, and bought us for God with your blood, out of every tribe, language, people, and nation, 5:10 and made "us" kings and priests to our God, and "we" will reign on earth." The 'us' and 'we' of verse 10 refer to the 4 creatures and the 24 elders? |

99 | Not need teachers? In what way? | 1 John 2:27 | Thomas8 | 203681
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (Joh 14:26 KJVR) 1Jn 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. "Ye know all things" in what sense? Not need teachers? Please tell me what you think about these verses. |

100 | alcohol scripturally wrong? | Eph 5:18 | Thomas8 | 203680
Hi Doc, Hank and lionheart, I imagine most every drinker has hit bottom and prayed for deliverance. I'm sure that they are sincere when they pray. Why are some redeemed and others not? I believe that sobriety is impossible for many of these people without divine intervention. AA and Rehab fail the people I'm talking about. So ... Why does God answer some prayers, "yes," and not all of them. What is the difference? This question applies to any drug addition or habitual sin. |
