81 | The Mind | Rom 12:2 | NightJay0044 | 172524
The Mind Hi, I'm interested in seeing if there are any verses or books about the mind in the bible. As in, does the bible say anywhere about what the mind is like using an analogy or metaphore or something to try and describe what the mind is like? Is there someplace that gives fact or things like that about the mind and how it works type deal? IF so, can someone please give me refereneces on where to find them as many as you can that actually give me the answer on what the mind is like and how it works...Thank you all.. Jason |

83 | Building Endurance | Not Specified | NightJay0044 | 171712
My question today is with the book of James 1:2. "2My brothers and sisters. Whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, 3because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; 4and let endurance have it's full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing". I probably know this already, but I would just like peoples opinions. Does that mean any difficulty (such as understanding earthly things, or the ways of the world) we face we should always consider it as joy, or does that mean anything that has to do with our Lord we should treat is as joy? Thanks for your time.. Jason |

85 | Loving God with all your heart | Gen 1:1 | NightJay0044 | 171242
Hi, with this part of the paragraph area. The Lord says that when we seek God with all of our hearts and souls we will find him. Because I'm struggling with the need of finding him, and I've given my life to Jesus but I just don't feel connected. Could somone give me as much information in a practical 21st century way that which I could understand? Thank You, because I want to feel and get as close to God as possible and I'm not sure always how to do that. You'de think I would of already been showin the way since I gave my life to Jesus but it doesn't seem so. Guidence and direction need here. Thank you.. |

Does that mean just how we image others? because isn't it true is what we give is what we recieve? Could someone give me some insight on this please, thanks. |

87 | Getting to heaven part 2 | Matt 7:14 | NightJay0044 | 170716
Alright, about the verse Matthew 16:24: 24Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it." Alright, what does that mean for us to deny ourselves, does that mean not know that were really here and only think about Jesus? Also the meaning for the person must take up his cross and follow me? If I could get some understanding to that, I could get closer. Because I want to get as close as I can to Jesus before my time is up here on earth. I need some guidence, or maybe i don't always need guidence but I just need to believe... Thanks. |

HI, today I would like to get more of an understanding about faith. Jesus said, " if you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can move a mountain" ALthought he may of not meant litterally a mountain. But what does that mean. I'm not understanding the concept of that passage. Can someone give me an easy example to try and gain more of an understanding? Thanks. |

95 | reading the bible | Bible general Archive 3 | NightJay0044 | 167834
All right, yeah maybe that was a bit broad of a question. Well lets take matthew 21:18 for example. Jesus talks about the power of faith. I looked down at chapter 21:21, where jesus says "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will be able to do what I did to this tree and even more. Then he talks about moving a mountain if you have faith. People have said, that doesn't really mean a mountain physically, he's talking about problems in your life, obstacles that you wish to conquer, I mean things like that. So if a person gave their life to christ, and know not too much about that kind of concept, then a person might interpret that as, wow, if i have faith the size of a mustard seed, then I can go to mount everist and tell it to move to the ocean. You know, i mean some poeple may say it's common sense, but then that's where taking the bible literally comes in to play. So could you try to explain that in some way? Thanks. |
