81 | Unity in the Body | Eph 4:4 | EdB | 243857
"Some people's idea of free speech is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back that is an outrage." Sir Winston Churchill |

82 | Unity to the body of Christ | Eph 4:4 | EdB | 243849
Ephesians 4:1-6 (NKJV) 1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. It seems in the church world no matter where you go you will find someone that will bring most conversations back to the differences of denominational beliefs. The scripture above stresses that there is only one Spirit, One Lord, One baptism and one Salvation. Jesus prayed for unity and I have always wondered why so many want to bring division by claiming their denominational belief is superior to another’s. If it works for you praise God but why do you feel you must tell us others are wrong? Why must you mock others? Why must you cast doubt on others? Why must you perpetuate lies, half truths and falsehoods about other denominations? |

83 | Speaking badly of another Christian | Mark 9:40 | EdB | 243848
Truth and integrity is a precious commodity that we must protect, seek out and treasure. Yet recently in our society we see these virtues being less and less protected and treasured. In fact it has become accepted by many as being okay to lie, it is expected that everyone lies. Also integrity is viewed as something as some kind of old fashion hindrance to the adage “If it feels good do it as long as it does not harm anyone.†That is much of our society today. But what concerns me the most is when it becomes the standard by which many so call Christians live. We have theologians, evangelist, teachers and preachers speaking lies and living without integrity before us. I am sure we all can name someone that meets this description. Some justify lying saying, “The end justify the means.†Which in effect is saying if I don’t like something I can lie about it. We often see this occur when one denominational group talks about another denominational position. We are admonished throughout scripture not to bear false witness but more importantly we are to speak kindly of Christian brethren. We are to seek to be peace makers, a position hard to fill while making inflammatory remarks about others. Oh we can justify such behavior by saying I did not say it I merely quoted it. Fact Jesus never instructed his apostles to speak badly about others Christian theology. In fact Jesus said Mark 9:40 (NKJV) 40 "For he who is not against us is on our side. |

84 | False Witness | Ex 23:1 | EdB | 243847
Exodus 23:1-2 (NKJV) 1 "You shall not circulate a false report. Do not put your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. 2 You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice. We have all heard falsehoods, half truths, out right lies about other Christian denominations and theological positions. That happens and is to be expected in a world tainted with sin. The problem becomes personal when we start such lies or we repeat them. I never understood how a so called Christian could participate in such activity, did they not fear God? Some willing participate because it supports or reinforces an existing prejudice they have, they dislike something so much that when presented with such a lie they justify repeating by reasoning it could be true. I’m sure there are others that simply don’t know what they believe is false but some claim to have done extensive research and have proof but when confronted to produce that proof they can’t. They then use various methods to smoke screen the fact they can’t provide proof, this appears as sarcasm, insults, mockery, and even censorship. This makes the matter even worst. Is this really what the Church of Jesus Christ has become? Is this how we treat each other? Is this really, doing unto others as we would have them do unto us. Think about it. |

85 | Commanded by Jesus | Matt 19:18 | EdB | 243846
Matthew 19:18 (NKJV) 18 He said to Him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, "'You shall not murder,' 'You shall not commit adultery,' 'You shall not steal,' 'You shall not bear false witness,' Much as been said against other believers, some accusations are true but others are not. It makes me wonder how Christians can make an accusation without knowing it is factual without having evidence that what they are saying is the truth. I believe some of this stems from a lack of critical thinking, they willingly accept something that supports or bolsters their ready preexisting prejudices rather seeking the truth I’m sure some simply don’t know what they believe is false but some claim to have done extensive research and have proof but when confronted to produce that proof they can’t. They then use various methods to smoke screen the fact they can’t provide proof, this appears as sarcasm, insults, mockery, and even censorship. 91 | Preserving Gods word | Ex 24:3 | EdB | 243838
Fact the Latin Vulgate was created in 383AD and for the most part remained the only Christian Bible until the very late 1300’ early 1400’s when the Wycliffe New Testament was done. Fact the Catholic Church has been accredited with preserving the Bible for at least 1000 years. Without the Catholic Church no one knows where scripture would be today. Fact in Catholic Church the Bible is read completely through doing Mass in three years. The Homily of the service is to be taken from the scripture read or from an idea formed by the scripture reading. Fact the Catholic Bible in Latin was the first Bible produced by the Gutenberg press and 40 copies of that first pressing remain today. For approximately 400 years from the Reformation until Vatican 2 the Catholic Church did discourage their congregates from reading a Non Latin Bible. This was done because the Catholic Church did not believe the non Latin translations of scripture were translated correctly. Much of the debate centered over the fact that most Non Latin bibles eliminated or changed what is commonly referred to as the Apocrypha. However recent translations that followed the Latin version have been produced and Vatican 2, encouraged Catholics to read their Bible in these translation which usually are in their native tongue. |

98 | Fighting with a dull razor | Is 41:15 | EdB | 243821
An evangelist preached with much fervency, emotion, and volume. His physical antics were obvious; however, there seemed to be little or no conviction. He told several unbelievable stories, but, again, the anointing was noticeably absent. Following the meeting, a dear old saint said, “He fought a good fight, but his razor was dull.†In Isaiah 41:15 and 16, God declares, “Behold, I will make you to be a new, sharp threshing instrument which has teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, and shall make the hills like chaff. You shall winnow them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the tempest shall scatter them.†The words of the preacher are to be like a formidable threshing sledge, with brand new sharp razor blades that are overpowering, forceful, and powerful, destroying sin and darkness. Such is the result of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, which brings people to the place of repentance. “Away with this milk and water preaching of the love of Christ that has no holiness or moral discrimination. Away with preaching a love of God that is not angry with sinners every day. Away with preaching a Christ not crucified for sin†(Charles Finney). Article quote from Dave Arnold ministries |

What does Hebrews 6:4-6 say? I did not say it is simply reported what was in scripture. Read Hebrews 10:25-27 for more discussion on this subject Where does it say this was a surprise to God? God knows every deed we have or will do. Also it isn't talking of an outside force that separates us from God it is talking of our own conscious decision. |
