I understand your wanting to know more about Christ. Many people want to know the little details about his life like his childhood life growing up. But what we should remember is that the bible is GODS word and he gives us what is important to know about his son Jesus. We know where he was born and what year he was born but notice that the bible never gives the date. We know that He was here to do the will of his father.(Luke 22:42) We know the work he did while on earth.( Preaching the good news of the Father), We know that he never sined and He gave his life so that we might have everlasting life. (Daniel 9:26) Well yet we still have the desire to know more. Well, I have a book that's gets more in detail about Christ' life, It is called THE GREATEST MAN THAT EVERED LIVED. If you would like a copy let me know. |

84 | Bible to be taken literally? | Matthew | Aniset | 106249
The bible is not all literal. There are also symbloic parts. When Jesus said that all the old laws were to remain in effect (Matt 5:18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.") He was saying that laws would not be changed until it has fulfilled it's purpose. Notice that there are other laws that had also been changed. 1 was on divorce. Matthew 19:7-9. |

86 | Christians ambivalent about death? | Phil 1:23 | Aniset | 105533
I understand what you are saying. I was taught that as a child although I never understood it. I read the bible alot and I can appreciate that Gods word the bible has an answer for everything. One thing I have learned through my reading is that GOD has a purpose for the earth. He didn't make it just for nothing. God created the earth so that humans could enjoy living on it forever. He wanted the earth always to be inhabited by righteous, happy people. (Psalm 115:16; Isaiah 45:18) The earth will never be destroyed; it will last forever.-Psalm 104:5; Ecclesiastes 1:4. 2. Before God made man, He chose one small part of the earth and made it into a beautiful paradise. He called it the garden of Eden. It was here that he put the first man and woman, Adam and Eve. God purposed for them to have children and fill the whole earth. Gradually they would have made the entire earth into a paradise.-Genesis 1:28; 2:8, 15. 3. Adam and Eve sinned by deliberately breaking God's law. So GOD put them out of the garden of Eden. Paradise was lost. (Genesis 3:1-6, 23) But GOD has not forgotten his purpose for this earth. He promises to make it into a paradise, where humans will live forever. How will he do this?-Psalm 37:29. 4. Before this earth can become a paradise, wicked people must be removed. (Psalm 37:38) This will happen at Armageddon, which is God's war to end wickedness. Next, Satan will be imprisoned for 1,000 years. This means that no wicked ones will be left to spoil the earth. Only God's people will survive.-Revelation 16:14, 16; 20:1-3. 5. Then Jesus Christ will rule as King over this earth for 1,000 years. (Revelation 20:6) He will gradually take sin away from our minds and bodies. We will become perfect humans just as Adam and Eve were before they sinned. Then there will be no more sickness, old age, and death. Sick people will be cured, and old persons will become young again.-Job 33:25; Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:3, 4. 6. During Jesus' Thousand Year Reign, faithful humans will work to turn the whole earth into a paradise. (Luke 23:43) Also, millions of dead ones will be resurrected to human life on the earth. (Acts 24:15) If they do what God requires of them, they will continue to live on earth forever. If not, they will be destroyed forever.-John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20:11-15. 7. God's original purpose for the earth will thus succeed. So, everybody will not go to Heaven, there will be people still on the earth that will not die, have pain, sickness or anything else that goes along with sin. They will be made perfect just like Adam and Eve were. |

88 | If u r saved can u ever become un saved? | Heb 6:4 | Aniset | 105530
Once a person is saved, is he always saved? Jude 5, RS: "I desire to remind you, though you were once for all fully informed, that he who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe." (Italics added.) Matt. 24:13, RS: "He who endures to the end will be saved." (So a person's final salvation is not determined at the moment that he begins to put faith in Jesus.) Phil. 2:12, RS: "As you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." (This was addressed to "the saints," or holy ones, at Philippi, as stated in Philippians 1:1. Paul urged them not to be overly confident but to realize that their final salvation was not yet assured.) Heb. 10:26, 27, RS: "If we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries." (Thus the Bible does not go along with the idea that no matter what sins a person may commit after he is "saved" he will not lose his salvation. It encourages faithfulness. See also Hebrews 6:4-6, where it is shown that even a person anointed with holy spirit can lose his hope of salvation.) |

93 | Explain the Holy Trinity-verysimple form | Numbers | Aniset | 104252
Is such reasoning hard to follow? Many sincere believers have found it to be confusing, contrary to normal reason, unlike anything in their experience. How, they ask, could the Father be God, Jesus be God, and the holy spirit be God, yet there be not three Gods but only one God? THIS confusion is widespread. The Encyclopedia Americana notes that the doctrine of the Trinity is considered to be "beyond the grasp of human reason." Many who accept the Trinity view it that same way. Monsignor Eugene Clark says: "God is one, and God is three. Since there is nothing like this in creation, we cannot understand it, but only accept it." Cardinal John O'Connor states: "We know that it is a very profound mystery, which we don't begin to understand." And Pope John Paul II speaks of "the inscrutable mystery of God the Trinity."HOW could such a confusing doctrine originate? The Catholic Encyclopedia claims: "A dogma so mysterious presupposes a Divine revelation." Catholic scholars Karl Rahner and Herbert Vorgrimler state in their Theological Dictionary: "The Trinity is a mystery . . . in the strict sense . . . , which could not be known without revelation, and even after revelation cannot become wholly intelligible." However, contending that since the Trinity is such a confusing mystery, it must have come from divine revelation creates another major problem. Why? Because divine revelation itself does not allow for such a view of God: "God is not a God of confusion."-1 Corinthians 14:33, Revised Standard Version (RS). |

94 | Loyal to who?? | Numbers | Aniset | 104248
I have been waiting for a question like this . Jesus is not GOD, He is GOD's only begotten son. This is confusing to a lot of people because the new translations of the bible has taken GOD's name out and replaced it with Lord, thus making people believe that they are one in the same. Most Churches also do not teach the differance between GOD the father and Jesus the son. GOD's name in JEHOVAH if said in English and YAHWEH in Hebrew. Jehovah Definition: The personal name of the only true God. His own self-designation. Jehovah is the Creator and, rightfully, the Sovereign Ruler of the universe. "Jehovah" is translated from the Hebrew Tetragrammaton, ????, which means "He Causes to Become." These four Hebrew letters are represented in many languages by the letters JHVH or YHWH. Where is God's name found in Bible translations that are commonly used today? The New English Bible: The name Jehovah appears at Exodus 3:15; 6:3. See also Genesis 22:14; Exodus 17:15; Judges 6:24; Ezekiel 48:35. (But if this and other translations use "Jehovah" in several places, why not be consistent in using it at every place where the Tetragrammaton appears in the Hebrew text?)Revised Standard Version: A footnote on Exodus 3:15 says: "The word LORD when spelled with capital letters, stands for the divine name, YHWH." Today's English Version: A footnote on Exodus 6:3 states: "THE LORD: . . . Where the Hebrew text has Yahweh, traditionally transliterated as Jehovah, this translation employs LORD with capital letters, following a usage which is widespread in English versions." King James Version: The name Jehovah is found at Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 12:2; 26:4. See also Genesis 22:14; Exodus 17:15; Judges 6:24. American Standard Version: The name Jehovah is used consistently in the Hebrew Scriptures in this translation, beginning with Genesis 2:4. 96 | is it possiable for us to sin in heaven | Rev 22:3 | Aniset | 104231
A descriptive designation applied to the "king of Babylon." (Isa 14:4, 12) The Hebrew expression thus translated (NW, Ro, Yg) comes from a root meaning "shine." (Job 29:3) The rendering "Lucifer" (KJ, Da) is derived from the Latin Vulgate. The "shining one" is represented as saying in his heart: "Above the stars of God I shall lift up my throne, and I shall sit down upon the mountain of meeting." (Isa 14:13) Biblical evidence points to Mount Zion as the "mountain of meeting." (See MOUNTAIN OF MEETING.) Hence, since stars can refer to kings (Nu 24:17; Re 22:16), "the stars of God" must be the kings of the Davidic line who ruled from Mount Zion. The "king of Babylon" (the dynasty of Babylonian kings), reflecting the attitude of Satan the god of this system of things, indicated his ambition to lift up his throne "above the stars of God" by desiring to make the kings of the line of David mere vassals and then finally to dethrone them. Like stars that shed light, the "king of Babylon" shone brightly in the ancient world and could be termed "shining one." The bible does not call him an archangel. However he was an angel. God does not create any thing and makes it to worship him. Everyone has a choice. |

Jesus was not talking to himself when he said: John 17:24-26 Father, as to what you have given me, I wish that, where I am, they also may be with me, in order to behold my glory that you have given me, because you loved me before the founding of the world. 25 Righteous Father, the world has, indeed, not come to know you; but I have come to know you, and these have come to know that you sent me forth. 26 And I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them." Jesus was talking about another name, The Name of his Father. |
