Because it is God commanded it, no one can question the authority of God. It is His judgement and His work are perfect: De 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. Meaning if His judgment for sin is death, then it was the right judgement. God did not prevent Judgment and Justice, if His judgment for Sin is death He want to Justice to everyone! Job 8:3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice? Job 8:4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression; God bless, |

The person committing suicide is not a save person. If you are save it is not yourself live in you but Christ. Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. If Christ lives in you, how come He will let you committing suicide. 1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1Co 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. The body of a save person is a temple of Holy Ghost, I dont think you are glorifying God in your body while committing suicide! God bless, |

83 | Heaven and the Old Testament | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 117226
You may consider this Elijah was taken into heaven by a whirl wind, if we believed that Elijah was taken into heaven (Kingdom of God) it will contradict the assessment of John that no one ascended to heaven but that came from heaven which is Jesus Christ. Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. The explaination of "heaven" in 2 kings 2:11-12 is the fowls heaven. (a) The firmament, as "fowls of the heaven" (Ge 2:19; 7:3,23; Ps 8:8, etc.), "the eagles of heaven" (La 4:19), etc. (b) The starry heavens (De 17:3; Jer 8:2; Mt 24:29). (c) "The heaven of heavens," or "the third heaven" (De 10:14; 1Ki 8:27; Ps 115:16; 148:4; 2Co 12:2). Because of the limitation of the vision of the eye, writers indicate that Elijah was taken into heaven. About enoch, Paul assess all of them are died in faith. Enoch was translated but died in faith. Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. If believed that not died, again, it will contradict the assessment of Paul that it is appointed to man to die once after this the judgement. Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: About luke 23:24 if we just plainly believed literally about the statement of Christ, it is not true, are they really in paradise on that day? NO Christ was descended to grave in three days, after three days rose again and o many things before go to heaven. God bless, |

86 | What's Jesus example of borrowing money? | Matt 17:27 | jlpangilinan | 117058
Jesus would not be lend or borrowed money but I am sure as the Son of God if He borrowed anything He will pay it back Ps 37:21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back, But the righteous is gracious and gives. Christ, taught us how to lend for those who need it most and not expecting anything in return. Luke 6:34 "If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount. 51 Luke 6:35 "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. I hope it would helps. God bless, |

87 | judgement day | Gen 1:1 | jlpangilinan | 116957
You are correct that Christ died already for our sins, but we have to repent and received Him as our personal saviour before we can received our salvation. John 14:6 Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. We have to do the Will of His Father, as Christ said those who do the Will of His Father will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Matt 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. But for those adulterers murderer thier part is in the lake of fire. Rev 21:8 "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." What will happened are Christ will judge us according to our works, if our name will not found there, our part will be in the lake of fire which is the second death. Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Rev 20:14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. Rev 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. God bless, |

88 | Why evil and suffering? | Jer 17:9 | jlpangilinan | 116876
God is good, He is powerful, God is love, because He is Love He created angels, and man not like a robot but a person that has his own free will. Ge 2:16 ¶ And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: Ge 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. God created us a person has free will, free to choose we are not robot. God is love, to proved His Love He created us a a subject of His Love, to express His Love. Love that not express is not love but selfishness. 1Jo 4:7 ¶ Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1Jo 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Why there are suffering in the world? Ge 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Ge 3:16 ¶ Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. 16. Easton Torrey ¶ And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Ge 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; Ge 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. After disobedience sickness and death comes in, adam and eve used thier free will to disobey God. If the man did not disobey there is no suffering and death. The disobedience of Adam and eve, cause death and suffering for us all: 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. God bless, |

93 | Why did Satan disrespect Jesus? | Matt 4:3 | jlpangilinan | 116504
Satan disrespect Jesus Christ because He dont beleived that Christ is God. Satan believed that there is God but dont believed that Christ is God Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Mt 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Mt 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 97 | Should everyone speak in tongues? | 1 Cor 12:10 | jlpangilinan | 116395
Every man has his gift from the Holy Spirit, one would be healing, miracles or speaking in tongues. It is not the requirement to enter the Kingdom of God. Moses and other prophets dont have it anyway. 1Co 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 1Co 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 1Co 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 1Co 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 1Co 12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 98 | was luke jewish | Col 4:10 | jlpangilinan | 116291
In addition to EdB answers, here the Easton Entry about Luke the evangelist, was a Gentile. The date and circumstances of his conversion are unknown. According to his own statement (Lu 1:2), he was not an "eye-witness and minister of the word from the beginning." It is probable that he was a physician in Troas, and was there converted by Paul, to whom he attached himself. He accompanied him to Philippi, but did not there share his imprisonment, nor did he accompany him further after his release in his missionary journey at this time (Ac 17:1). On Paul's third visit to Philippi (Ac 20:5-6) we again meet with Luke, who probably had spent all the intervening time in that city, a period of seven or eight years. From this time Luke was Paul's constant companion during his journey to Jerusalem (Ac 20:6-21:18). He again disappears from view during Paul's imprisonment at Jerusalem and Caesarea, and only reappears when Paul sets out for Rome (Ac 27:1), whither he accompanies him (Ac 28:2,12-16), and where he remains with him till the close of his first imprisonment (Phm 1:24; Col 4:14). The last notice of the "beloved physician" is in 2Ti 4:11. There are many passages in Paul's epistles, as well as in the writings of Luke, which show the extent and accuracy of his medical knowledge. God bless, |
