Survivor, do YOU mean to imply that Jesus, the only begotten God (John 1:18) is not who He says He is - God? Jesus is not a spirit. He has revealed the Father to us in Himself. Do I detect the spirit of antichrist here?
85 | The "whole message?" | Acts 5:20 | Mommapbs | 132521
Why would the angel tell the imprisioned Apostles to speak the "whole message?" From the preceding verses, it appears (to me) that perhaps the people were focused on temporal things and not the spiritual healing that takes place in Christ. Are there any other indications from this passage in Acts 5 that the "whole message" was being missed?

Mt 3:14 How could John say this in Matthew and then claim (v 31) to not recognize Him, prior to His baptism and the promised revelatory sign of the Spirit in John 1:33? |

100 | What is the "straight and narrow gate"? | Rev 19:8 | Mommapbs | 123992
Country Girl, Jesus did more than "set a whole standard of behavior for the whole world." Was it really "His influence" that has preserved the world to date? What is "the straight and narrow gate to Heaven?" You indicated the possibility for man to "stay up with God's standard of doing anything decent" - is this ever possible according to God's Wotd, ie our righteousness is as "filthy rags" (Is 64:6)in God's sight. There is no one who does good (Ps 14:3) Rom 3:23 No one has met God's standard at any time (except One!). This being the case, how is one clothed with "fine linen?" Note, "It was GIVEN to her to clothe herself in fine linen" Where do our righteous acts come from? See John 15:5 What do you think will happen to the "good" things a believer does on his/her own initiative? Blessings, mommapbs |
