641 | justme, does the OT need sac for the 10C | Ex 20:10 | justme | 53647
Searcher: I care enough about you to say I respect you, I feel you are doing what God wants you to do. I am glad we are children of Christ and we are both a part of that family. I am greatfull to learn of your thoughts, and I hope you feel the same toward me. It is not important to me that we agree on everything. So we see things in a different way, and I accept that. I will never cross the line that leads to disrespect. Blessings. agape, justme |

642 | justme, Do we disobey the fourth only? | Ex 20:10 | justme | 53612
Searcher:Jesus said that if we keep His Commandments then we have fulfilled them all. Searcher YOU are Under Grace not the Law. Jesus did fulfill the law, but He gave an even harder list of commands! Now we are to love our neighbor as ourselves! That mean You MUST love even me! We are under a New Covenant, the Old Covenant of Law was ended by Christ Shedding His blood on the cross as a final payment for your and my sins. If you are going to obey the 10 commandments then you MUST offer Blood offerings for your sins. And according to Hebrews if that's the case Christ died for nothing! Are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb of God? agape, justme |

643 | TxRedBelle, is foot washing the third? | John 3:5 | justme | 53609
Searcher56: Foot washing is an outward act of humbeling one's self. Both the foot washer and washie experience something about receieving and giving. Two times I trimmed a old ladies toe nails. She was so greatfull. She was dying of cancer, and embarressed to ask anyone to do this for her. This was in September 1997, and again in March of 1998, that I did this for her. I will say it was I who was blessed. I felt undeserving to have been asked to do such an honoranle task. My Mother died August 2, 1998. For one who gave me the gift of life I could do no less. agape, justme, the old ladies son. |

644 | Concerning the baptism topic.... | John 3:5 | justme | 53604
stebert1: I think this long, long, long dialogue goes on for many reasons. Having been a pastor, I can say for some reason there are people who say they have found Jesus as the lord, but refuse to follow that with baptism. Why will they not be baptized? I dare say the chance is high that Jesus is not their LORD! I do not know of but one genuine reason a person I personally knew, who had a valid reason. She died, she was very near death when she repented and ask Jesus to be her LORD and save her. All the others who did not follow up their asking Jesus to be their Lord did not change and went back to their old lifestyle. Well that's my dime's worth of opinion. What do you think about what I said? agape, justme |

645 | Who is qualified? | 1 Tim 6:17 | justme | 53603
In the Andes: In regard to 1 Thessalonians4:12 it says "so that you will not be dependant on anybody." NIV. You are to live to glorify God. I think the simple truth is if some Christian says they feel offended is reason to make a change. If you are having others make judgements on how much you spend then perhaps there is a problem? I find if I ask Jesus to revale some area I need to change, the Holy Spirit will make it known to me. I personally ware all Walmart clothes. Tennis shoes ten dollars, pants twenty two. shirt eight dollars. I am quite content and comfortable, which is what I want. However our teenage daughter is a different matter. But, we make her buy lady like clothes that don't make her look like a street walker, which is so wide spred here.We do compremise at times. There people I know in La Paz, Bolivia that are lucky to have the very basic for clothing. Hope this helps agape, justme |

Rather we Honnor Jesus Christ and the New Coveant of His Blood ,He shed, for the sins of all who will make Jesus Christ Lord, and Worship and Honor Jesus Christ on the day of His Resurrection which was Sunday, the Lord's Day! Praise the Holy name of Jesus Christ! Now friend enter the Rest of Honoring the Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday. God bless you! agape, justme |

647 | Solve married second time, confess sins? | 1 John | justme | 53596
Ok, I now get the question. First of all there are messy situations like this all over the USA in Christian Churches. Christians are breaking the Covenant they made to each other and God. There is no other way to put it, that is sin. Not to be taken lightly. Sadly we have some very liberal, weak willed pastors, that marry Christians in this type of situation with no problem at all. To marry a Christian that was not divorced on Biblical grounds is wrong. When a couple comes for marriage counseling the pastor needs to ask if either have an ex unmarried spouse. If one or both say yes then there other steps. I would speak to the divorced one and say that they are bound by their covenant to God to rerunite or remain single. Now comes the sneaky part. One says this is not fair to me that he or she did this or that and justifies why they can remarry some one else. With that then the other is free to remarry, because you can not remarry an ex who has married some one else. I am firmly convienced if pastors were very direct and worked with the divorced one and the ex they might well restore that union and honnor their covenant with God and each other. I have told several couples in simular situations that I could not marry them because scripture forbade it. Now I have married divorced Christians that had very Biblical reasons. But I have insisted on Christian Psychological counseling by a Christian PHD. Only if there was deffinate reason to believe this person had dealt with their part of the first failure, whether through forgiveness or facing their faults. Then would we enter marriage counseling. Second marriages have a very high rate of failure, much more than first marriages. So in your story Philip and Shirly were wrong to marry. The Pastor will answer for his part in allowing this marriage. Now if or when Philip and Shirly become convicted of their sin then 1 John 1:9 is their answer. To confess it to God. The rest is God's to forgive. Perhaps Philip and Sherily need to go to Grace and ask for forgivness, that would be in order. For a more complete scriptual understanding read ! Corinthians chapters 6 and 7. I am not sure is most Cristians understand what a covenant is. When I came to realize what it meant to be in a covenant marriage it so overwhelmed me! I was very sobered by how many of us, in positions of, marring couples in a Holy Union with the two of them and God have failed our responsibilities before God. For me it has been a heavy burden to hear when couple I married has divorced. I feel very broken hearted. Now, if I feel this hurt, hows our Father God feel? I have spoken the truth as the Word of God says. I have deep sympathy for couples who have messed up, and I grieve for anyone in that situation. But God so loves His children He forgives when true confession of sin is made. Sometimes we can not go back and make things right. With Gods mercy and Grace we all must run the race we have set before us. Romans 8:28 to 39, gives us the fact that nothing can separate from the Love of God. Peace be with with you. agape, justme |

649 | The three Earth Ages | Genesis | justme | 53514
TxRedBelle: I am not completly sure what you are asking for so I will give you several things that come to this gray matter in my head. We know God Created the earth. I do not accept eveloution so that will allow for some dispute by our monkey origin fans. Most Bible schollars will say the earth is somewhere between 10,000 to 6,000 years old. Personally I am not sure as I was not there at the time. Although I have been told I look as old as dirt. So when you speak of ages, I would say the next age would be the age of man? In Genesis it says man was created on the sixth day. Both male and female flesh were created that day. Call me old fashoned but I honest believe the days of creation were 24 hour days. Now I would like to stress the how importand it is to view these days as literal 24 hour days. Now Toni, if you do not view creation as the book of Genesis says then it will determine how you will understand the rest of the Bible. Besides quite honestly I do not have enough faith to believe in eveloution! Think of a one cell blob changing over millions of years to something just a little more complex? Now just yhink how complex male and female most simple thing is. How did these cells arrange in such a magic way so they could reproduce. Now look how very complex men and women are and how unbelievable it is to have ababy! Wow! We have had four children and I am still amazed. The next age would be perhaps when sin entered mankind. Then removal from the Garden of Eden. I would say after Cain killed Able would be cansidered an age. The next big age would be the flooding of the Eart, and the canopy being destroyed and the earth and mankind was forever changed. Then there many more ages. Some would call these ages dispensations, which I agree with. May I suggest a book called THE GENESIS RECORD by Morris. Any Christian book store could order it or a large book store might have it in stock. Well toni I hope this has helped a little bit. You can ask the question again if I did not answer as you wanted. Welcome to the Family of God, and the Forum! agape, justme |

651 | Forgiven for spending to much? | 1 John | justme | 53029
Top: Blessings on you for making Christ lord. Ring the Bells of Heaven. I read what the others have said and all ot is top notch advice. I would add is a Chapter 13 open to you? I would suppose you lawer, and has advised you and has given you the options open to you. I know several business friends who after 9 11 the went belly up. Look at Anderson Auditing, and now World Com or MCI as it was once known. Many retired people lost their retirement. We are in very serious financial problems in our country. From what I see I think it will get worse for some time to come. Be a wise steward,. When older people die for the lack of medicine in the USA we are in trouble. More and More married children are moving back with their parents to make it. Learn to live on 80 percent of what you take home. Remember what you don't spend; you don't have to earn! Here where I live 8 dollars an hour is considered a fair wage. I made that 33 years ago! Tuust me you can always Trusr God to supply your needs. Not wants, but you can rely on Christ. I know we have raised 4 children and God always has provided. agape, justme |

652 | Say we that love God so much,Still fall | 1 John | justme | 53027
Jesussfriend. Welcome to the Forum! First time I see, glad you asked the question. I am "justme". I imagine most all of us have asked the same question at sometime. If you would turn to 1 John 1:9. Please read verses 8,9, and 10. I know this will give you The Words answer. Remember King David of the Old Testament. Boy did he love God! Boy did he blow it big time! Yet he repented, and God said David was a man after His heart. David comitted adultery, murder, lied, wow, David messed up so bad, I can't see how God was able to love him ever again. But that's the mercifull God we have. Now if David became clean again, friend of Jesus so can you! Blessings, agape, justme |

655 | is there gender in the spirit? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 52816
Galatians 3:28. God the father, God the Son, And God the Holy Spirit have no gender as physically being male or female, if that's what you are asking. As Holy Men penned what The Spirit of God told the writers to say the language was so percisely given so us humans could understand it th smallest degree. The deep we go imto the origanl languages to more depth to the littelest dot means. With every thing man does the closer we look the deeper the flaws. Truely amazing how perfest Gof is. agape, justme |

657 | Does Psalms 22 stand up to the skeptics? | John | justme | 52808
John 3;16 Higher critics have always something to debate if you haven't noticed. I know just a little that Psalm 11:1 ia what Jesus spoke before his last words. And even that is debatable. When someone askes me what I learned that really stood out in Seminary I say very honestly. Jusus loves me this I know fpr the Bible tells me so. That is the basic message of the Bible. But, I am sure someone will even debate that. Oh well I an a simple minded person anyway. agape, justme |

658 | Who offered us baptism? | Matt 3:15 | justme | 52753
grace abd truth: I am not sure if you remember our dialogue some time ago. To refresh your mind, As a pastor I was called tovisit a lady near death with cancer. She was hooked up to all kinds of tubes and the whole medical stuff that ties one down. She could no longer wald, and barely spoke. I introduced her to the Lord Jesus Christ. She prayed to make Him Lord of her life. If ever there was a person wanting to be baptized she was willing to crawl if she could have. I sprinkled her as a symbol as of her faith in Christ. She was aware this was not baptism. But it was as close as she could come. She died in faith and peace. If you recall you said to me this woman went to hell. I have never forgotten your words. I have prayed for you to receive God's Grace and Truth as well as finding what Mercy is. I wonder if you have ever faced a situation of introducing a dying person to Christ? What would you say to them? I am sorry because you can not be baptized there is no use in telling you about Christ? Doctors, nurses, and paramedics are required to do what they can to save life. Are we as Christians not to live up to a higher Code of God then these medically trained persons. Do you not think God would hold you to an even higher responsibility? I personally leave the Judgement part of the persons heart up to Jesus Christ. You see that's not what he has called me to do. I am called to go tell and make learners and then to baptize.
