61 | Satan can't read minds | Jeremiah | tremere123@comcast.net | 67065
Ya know, I have heard that before and I cannot find any scripture to back it up but I believe it's true because only God can read our hearts...I feel that Satan can only read our body language...he is a mere fallen angel who, it seems, only has power when God wants to use him to test us like in Job...also Satan and/or the "Sons of Disobedience" are mentioned as being only mindful of worldly things and not of Godly things...which, to me, means Satan or demons are excellent at watching us to see if we are weak or vulnerable...they are excellent at reading us in a human sense, like psychiatrists but not as God can...!
62 | What does this verse mean? | Matt 6:7 | tremere123@comcast.net | 67064
If your prayers are repitious they are probably insincere...this means be sincere and have a personal relationship with God...speak from your heart don't just recite prayer over and over, make sense!?
63 | Is God responsible for evil? | Bible general Archive 1 | tremere123@comcast.net | 67063
God created Satan and allows him to test us...God hardened Pharoah's heart...God created darkness...but we choose the evil that was created by God when we fall...therefore God has created two directions in which we can go...what good would free will be without choices?
64 | Is John 6:66 the answer to 666 riddle? | John 6:66 | tremere123@comcast.net | 67062
Very interesting! I agree with your theory...in Revelation 13:18 it says that the number of the beast is the number of a man and also, in Rev. 21:17 it gives the measurement of a wall as 144 cubits according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel...I figured the cubits to feet are 216 feet...and if you multiply 6 X 6 X 6 you also get 216.....?! So the measurement or number of the beast is the same as the number of an angel and both are the number of a man...meaning we can be one or the other or both!!!
65 | JESUS GREW IN WISDOM | Heb 5:8 | tremere123@comcast.net | 67061
I think that basically means he grew up in the human sense...yes he was God incarnate...he had to grow because he was in the flesh...I don't think he became to know who he was until he asked Mary why she was looking for him...He said don't you know I'm doing my Father's work?...something to that effect...anyway, I think, as a child and up till then he was just a child in His own mind...remember He is our example...we are all Sons of God...and are to grow in wisdom and stature, right?!
66 | Is slavery OK? (Lev 25:44) | Lev 25:44 | tremere123@comcast.net | 67060
Of course, slavery is rampant in the bible and so is the freeing of captives...my belief, is that there are captives or servants made free to show the grace or mercy of God...what does the Truth do? The Truth sets you free...the bible or Jesus is the Truth...Everything God does, mostly, is for His namesake...to show His Power and His Glory...any hardship he places on us, like when He hardened Pharoah's heart, is for the purpose of saving us so that we can believe Him and worship Him...there has to be darkness so that the light can shine...get it!?
67 | Where do we go with burdens? | James 1:5 | tremere123@comcast.net | 67059
Amen brother! | ||||||
68 | biblical? not tostudy in anotherchurch | John | tremere123@comcast.net | 67058
Personally, I believe, and the bible says, that our bodies are the temple of God...so I don't think it matters what church you worship God in as long as you do! God will put your brother where He wants to! God loves your brother more than you do so let God do His work and don't worry about it,k?!
69 | Why does God kill and innocent child? | 2 Sam 12:15 | tremere123@comcast.net | 67057
Romans 9:15 "...I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion"...this whole chapter is helpful in answering your question but basically, this verse is letting us know that God decides! It doesn't seem very loving if you consider death an end...God just brought that baby back Home and consider that God allowed that baby to be born just for the purpose of taking him back!
70 | I leviathen in Job 41 satan? | Is 27:1 | tremere123@comcast.net | 67056
In Isaiah 27:1 it says, "In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea."....I would say YES that when God spoke of the Leviathan he was not only referring to a real creature (to me, a dragon) but also referring to Satan...Satan is a fallen angel...God not only created him but uses him to test us...afterall, in Genesis Satan was a serpent so why not a Levithan as well!
71 | What is the significance of the wheels? | Ezek 10:9 | tremere123@comcast.net | 67055
I have been trying to find a drawing or any artwork depicting Ezekiel's vision and have even tried to draw it myself...may do a painting of it later...as far as the wheels, my only theory, thus far, is that a ring represents forever...it has no beginning and no end...and in Ezekiel's vision it was a wheel within a wheel...if you were to seperate those wheels...place one on top of the other you'd form the number 8 which is a symbol for eternity...but I think what is most important about the wheels is that Ezekiel said that the Spirit of the Creature was in them...also, the rims of the wheels were high and had eyes...maybe the wheels are the eyes of God upon us...There are many places in bible where something is going to and fro and if you have a wheel within a wheel you can, not only, go to and fro but you can also ascend and descend!!...As you can see, I'm still working on this myself! Just thought I'd share my ideas with you!
72 | Gen 35:1 God says make an altar to God, | Not Specified | tremere123@comcast.net | 67054
In Genesis 35:1 why does God tell Jacob to make an altar to (the) God who appeared to him when he fled from Esau?...Why doesn't God just say, "make an altar to Me?" The "God" that God is referring to said to Jacob "I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac" So are we to see God and this God as seperate entities? |
