61 | What is preaching Christ? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167447
You are right brother, the differnce we have, is that I believe something is the will of God, and you believe that to not be true and vice versa. But of course, there is one truth, so we can't sit back and say lets agree to disagree. That would be a bad statement don't you think? God Bless, Mitch |

62 | What is preaching Christ? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167446
I didn't even quote the scripture Brother, I just referenced it to you. Hard to misquote something you didn't type out. And yes, it says 'with persecutions' He is saying that you will recieve persectuions while you are recieving a hundredfold return on what you have given up. Everything else listed is what was given up, and you are getting 100 fold in return. If you are correct, and Jesus is not saying that persecutions are coming because of the 100 fold return, then wouldn't we in the previous verses have to have listed that we gave up houses and children adn lands and persecutions? How does a man give up persecutions for Jesus sake? So he has to be talking here, that we will recieve persecution, becuause of the 100 fold. So we recieve the persectuions, because with the 100 fold, and since I am living in 100 fold return, and I'm persecuted because of my faith in it, I'd have to say that Jesus was right :) God Bless |

Joke at me all you want, I don't mind. I am saying he has no authority in that prayer, because God wont answer a prayer thats not based upon his Word, and that would harm another person would he? As for persecuted for getting a 100 fold return, Jesus said that in Mark 10:30 Mitch |

64 | What is preaching Christ? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167439
Thank you for bringing scripture before me! Thats why I'm here, I'm eager to discuss the Word of God, so lets get started, and if I miss anything, please let me know. I want to answer all of it. Ok, my point about hospitals is this. If someone thinks that at times God decides someone should have a terrible ilness, and at times he decides that a person should die of a sickness. Then why would we want that person to go the hospital? I believe God does not want men to look at pornography. So I will do everything in my power to make sure its not even an option in my country. I don't even want it on pay per view, or in 'adults only' stores. I don't want it anywhere, because the will of God, is to not have that sin in my nation. So if it is God's will that some people are sick, then if a person believes that, they should never seek medical treatment, because as they think, God will either heal them, or he will not. Also, they should support things like abortion, because maybe God wanted that little child to be pulled limb from limb from their mothers womb. ( Thats absurd isn't it? ) But think about it, is it really God's will that 5000 children a day are killed in abortion, or is it his will for those who get all their skin burned off in a house fire? If a person thinks that sometimes God sends sickness to teach someone a lessson, then I'm simply saing they should praise God for those things, and be happy when their children have the same thing, as well as they should want to see all hospitals shut down, because those hositals might be treating someone, that God wants to die. As for trials, well I can say that in this life we are tried and tested. But I find no scripture that says we are tried by God. Can you? I've yet to find a scripture that says God sends the trial, you could think that at times he has to allow it, because he has made himself dependent on our faith at times, but I see no scripture which says he sends those trials. I believe that there may come a time where I could suffer for Christ, such as being persecuted for my beleive in Jesus, martyred ( spelling sorry ) or put in prison, I understand those things happen, and I would rejoice in those things. But nowhere do we see that sickness and disease are part of our suffering do we? Thats what I see in this passage of Scripture, yes it talks of suffering, but again I ask, where does scritpure say that suffering is sickness and disease. I don't care if they lock me up in prison, God will deliver me out of that wont he? I dont care if they stone me to death, I look up into heaven and see JEsus standing at the right hand of the Father. I'm simply saying, suffering is because of God, because of what I believe, and what people don't want me to belive, not from God. As Romans 8:23 points out, there is still a final redemption for our bodies, when Christ comes back, I will then take on complete imortatility. Luke 21:28 points out that our redemption will come. We then, will be totally redemmed from even persecutions at that point. So what I'm saying brother, is that nowhere in scripture does God send sickness on his children. It might happen in judgement, for those who are disobedient, but God had already made sure there was a way they never had to go through it. God Bless, Mitch |

Thank you brother for your concern, but I want to make it very clear that you have no authority to pray that for me. God has revealed himself to me as my healer, and my provider, call me a name it and claim it, and a blab it and grab it feller if you like :) Thats fine by me, Jesus said that when you have the 100 fold return persecution would come, and I don't mind it. But thanks for your concern. God Bless, Mitch |

Do you have any scripture to back up your belief that its better to find otu what the internet says than what the Word says? Give me scripture and I'll discuss it, otherwise do us all a service and keep quiet. This is a Bible study forum, not a reserch club.
67 | What is preaching Christ? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167430
Read it again please, I never said if it works for me it must be from God. I said, as the Word does, that every good and perfect gift is from God. And yes, I'll take whatever my father has decided to give me. He bought my healing, I'll accept it. And if you have read my other posts, as you say you have. Then you know I'll discuss scripture. I'm not going to stand up and defend Brother Copeland, he doesn't want me to, and he doesn't need me to, Christ will do that. I study the Word of God daily, no need to challenge me to do so. I Study the Word, and I spend time praying in other tongues and in my own understanding, and allowing the Spirit to reveal the word to me. So again, no need to 'challenge' me to do something I already do. And yes, Satan quoted Scripture, what does that prove? If you don't agre with Kenneth Copeland, show him where he is missing it. Use scripture, thast the only thing I'll feel like responding to. I don't base my belief on what some christian institute says, or what Kenneth Copeland says either, I base it on the Word. I don't need the internet to tell me what God said in his Word. So no thank you, but I'll not do any 'reserch' on the net to get a revelation fo the Word. I could care less what all those people have to say about my Brothers and Sistesr in Christ Jesus. I am a Christian man, I love my neighbor, I have no need to listen to hate filled writtings. Like I've said before, I'll talk about scripture, not opinion. If my body is under the curse, then do you think God is a liar when he said Jesus has redemmed me from the curse? And what does it matter how many people have died from sickness? I've had family members die lost and in all probability are in hell right now, does that mean I have to do the same thing? It makes no sense to say that so and so died of cancer, so it must be God's will for that to happen, but you won't say, so and so went to hell, it must be God's will for some people to go to hell. As a matter fo fact, if you believe sickness is sometimes the will of God for people, I hope you are convinced of your beliefs enough to try to clsoe down every hosptital you see, because they might be helping someone that God wants in pain. And I hope when you have children, you get on your knees before the Father, and beg him to give a fatal illness to your children, so that they will be living ina wonderfully perfected will of God. Thats abusrd, you won't do that, why? God Bless, Mitch |

68 | What is preaching Christ? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167420
1. I have no need for any of those mountains to be moved. If I did, then I would move them. Jesus was not calling a fig tree a mountain you know. He was saying that whatever mountain you need moved, whatever obstacle you need removed, you speak to it, as he did the tree. He wasn't talking about a mountain like Mt. McKinley. But he was talking about mountains in the obstacle sense, like we say a 'mountain of debt' 2. God supernatually provided the new home, nothing changed in my paycheck or my wifes. But God loves his children, and he never lies you know. So when he said because I tithe he'd open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so much that I can't contain it, he wasn't just lieing when he said that. And even if I had gotten a huge increase in my paycheck, that would still be God, because every perfect gift comes down from the Father of LIghts with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turniing. So God could have done it by increasing my paycheck, but he decided to just do it, and I'm thankful for how he has done it, because nobody can deny its of God. 3. The context reveals that anything you sacrifice for the Gospel's sake, wether it be relationships or finances, you will recieve a hundredfold return on that ( thats sacrificing 10 dollars and getting 1000 in return ) you will recieve that hundredfold in this current life, and you inherit eternal life in the one to come. It is Jesus speaking, and he is speaking about anyone who sacrifices these things. And yes, I praise God for what he is doing in my life. He's blessing me in every area, spiritually as well as physically and mentally. I can even testify that my wife was attacked two days ago with what the doctors say is strep throat ( spelling sorry? ) however we stayed on the Word, and what takes they say about 4 weeks to recover from, is taking no more than a couple days! Glory to God Brother! HOpe I answered your questions good enough for you. God Bless, Mitch |

Yes I have personally seen mountains moved. I am living in the 100 fold return on everything I sow into the Kingdom of God. God has just recently supernatually blessed my family with a beautiful new home. By the world's standards we would not be able to afford it, but by God's standards, and by his love for his children, we can afford it. You can talk badly about Brother Hagin all you like, you are the one who has to give an account of every idle word you speak when you stand before Christ. If you don't like the 100 fold message, maybe you might want to blot that part of scripture out of your bible, or at least try to explain to me what you believe it means, instead of using the devils tactics and becoming an accuser of the brethren. And yes, Ephesians states wonderful things Christ has done for us on the cross. Peter does as well when he points out that because of the stripes of Jesus Christ, because he was beaten, we can live in divine healing in our lives. I'm simply saying, that to say preaching miracles is not 'preaching Christ' as someone here put it. Then you must be saying that the cross is not a miraculous thing. And I'm simply saying, that since the cross is what brought me back into the relationship with God he ordained me to walk in before the foundation of the world, which yes as Jesus said , does include financial prosperity, then it is a mircale that needs to be preached. If you don't preach it, then you are leaving out a wonderful event that took place upon that cross. And I don't care to read a book that tries to document things about other men, I like to read scriptural messages. I don't worry about fussing and fighting with others. I like to leave the bad mouthing, trash talking to the sinners. Also, if you takt he time to read Brother Hagin's books yourself, then you will see that he glorifies the Lord in his own life, by having everything JEsus paid for. Jesus removed the curse from me, so if I still chose to live in sickness and disease, I'm throwing out part of what he paid for. If I don't walk in the fullness of his sacrifice, then I'm making the cross of none effect in my life. And I refuse to ever belittle anything that God has done for me. Brother I understand many don't like the message that Brother Hagin preaches, but all I ask is that instead of saying what so and so said, and talking about hearsay, and bad mouthing others. Give me scripture that prove a certain teaching is wrong. Otherwise, I'll not response anymore. I'm here to help those who have valid questions, I'm done with watching people talk bad about God's children. I don't agree with everything you say, does God then say that I should go around and bad mouth you? Talk down about you? I don't agree with everything Billy Graham says, but should I go around and say he shouldn't be on TV? NO that would be absurd, thousands, if not millions, have come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ through the ministry of Billy Graham, so even if the man is wrong on some of his beliefs on the Word, at least he is doing what God is leading him to do, and not sitting around bad mouthing Kenneth Copeland or Joyce Meyer. He's following God, and loving his neighbor. He's working no ill toward his neighbor. He's living the Word of God, even if he is wrong about some things, which I think he is, or at least I should say, I would believe that he is. But you'll never get me to say a bad thing about the man. He's done wonderful things for Christian faith. God Bless you, and remember, what God did in Jesus on the cross, is far greater than what satan did in Adam in the garden! Mitch |

70 | Biblical or Not? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167415
I read this article here. Source: http://www.kcm.org/studycenter/articles/faith_hope/suffering_with_christ.php As you have probably experienced, any time we are walking in the Word and fellowshiping with the Father, Satan will do his best to stop us. He wants to stop this spiritual relationship. He knows as we receive revelation knowledge into our spirit, we will learn to lord over him in the physical and mental realms. Then his tactics to put us under the law of sin and death will be futile (Romans 8:2). Brother Copeland isn't saying that the devil won't attack you physcially, he is saying you don't have to stay in a position of defeat. He clearly acknowledges that we will be tested by the devil, and that the devil will try to bring things on us to defeat us, but we suffer through it by submitting to God, resisting the devil, and he will flee from us. Read it again brother, Brother Copeland does not deny the tactics of the devil. He does however say first that the suffering with Christ does not mean physcial and mental suffering, and then he goes on to talk about suffering attacks from the devil. Suffering with Christ, certainly can't be physical, unless Christ is suffering physcially right now. However, there is suffering we go through for the Word's sake. Which brother Copeland does point out. However like I said, and like he said, we resis the devil's attempts to bring us under the law of sin and death, we stay in the Word, and we'll be delivered out of it all. God Bless, Mitch |

71 | Biblical or Not? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167412
So then its your opinion that JEsus is suffersing physically and mentally, is he suffering financially as well? Because if we are to suffer with him, then he must be going through the same that we are. And yes 2 Tim 2:9 Paul points out that he has been persecuted to the point that he has even been in bonds. 1 Peter 4:15 says that we not to suffer as an evildoer, which Paul clearly states in this passage in Timothy that he did suffer as an evildoer, so he did half to resist what the devil was trying to do to him, to kill him, to keep him quiet about the Truth. Thats what Brother Copeland was writing , is that our suffering, is resisting those things that Jesus has delivered us from. So YES, again, its very scriptual. And again, your scripture reference in Peter is saying the same thing. what Brother Copeland is saying, and what the Word is showing us, is that we do not have to stay defeated, the devil may come in and stir up a little trouble, thats what he does, he's the author of sickness and disesase and all forms of trouble, however our suffering, what we must do, is resit what he is trying to bring upon us. We have to resist temptation to sin against God, in the same manner we have to resist being pulled down under the curse and being bound by beatings or poverty, or sickness, or anything else that God does not want us to have. So yes, Brother Copeland is right on in that article, I'm glad you found it, its a good one to read and then study those scriptures which he pointed out. God Bless, Mitch |

72 | Biblical or Not? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167409
Yes it is Biblical, did the rest of the article not show up for you? Brother Copeland gives plenty of references for what he is writting. If the rest of the article didn't show up, please let me know and I will copy and past it for you, or I can email it to you if you prefer. God Bless, Mitch |

73 | What is preaching Christ? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167406
The Cross is what allows me to have physcial healing in my body, and the death of Christ is what makes me rich. Its what prospers me, and its what heals me. So what I'm saying, is that if you say preaching Christ, is not talkikng about the miracles that come from what he did, then you are just wrong. The Cross is everything to a believer. It brought me into right standing with God, it delivered me from all sin, it brings total physcial healing to my body, it makes me a financially prosperous man. It is miraculous. So my point was, to say that preaching Christ, is not preaching miracles, then what is the Cross if it itself is not a miracle?
74 | Biblical or Not? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167405
Tim, I don't like to deal in illegal material. Sorry, but I won't be answering any questions from that website. I'm a Christian man, and as such, I follow the law. If you can find that quote in an article or on a sermon at www.kcm.org I'd be more than happy to discuss it though. But I refuse to worry about what some illegal run immoral website has to offer. Perhaps I made a mistake by mentioning that website, but I was just wanting to point out how they claim they are doing a good Christian work, yet they are breaking the law. So no, I have no need to discuss anything thats there. Find a valid source where that comes from, from Copeland's website, and then we'll talk. God Bless, Mitch |

75 | Truth | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167401
You make a wonderful point, when someone doesn't take the time to actually read or listen to what another man has said in his own words, its best not to talk at all. And I think cartoons are already out there somewhere, there is some website called bible.ca or something, which has a bunch of videos a person can watch that are doctored up to make many preachings such as Hagin look foolish. Its interesting though, how they claim they are doing a Christian work, yet they are illegaly copying and distrubiting material that is not only doctored up ( you can see on some of the videos how the men are wearing one suit one instance, and another suit the next, which shows a competent man its faked ) but its also most likely illegal to distribute those without permission from the publishers. Anyways, people should either talk about the Word, or just keep quiet. ITs about time Christians got off their high horse and thought they were allowed to judge every man in this life and never worry about love and compasssion. |

76 | What is preaching Christ? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167400
YOu said preaching healings miracles etc is not preaching Christ. What do you say is preaching Christ then? And no Hagin is not the 'granddaddy' of the faith movement. Jesus Christ is. He is the one who said if you say unto this mountain be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in your heart but believe those things you say shall come to pass you shall have whatsoever you say. ( Mark 11:23 ) Jesus is the one who said that whatever we give up for his sake and for hte gospels sake in this life, we shall receive a hundredfold return in this present life ( Yes that does mean 100 return on money invested as well as everything else you sacrifice for his sake and for the gospels sake because ) and we do recieve the 100 fold return in this present life and life everlasting in the one to come ( Mar 10:29 - 30 ) So please tell me, what do you consider is preaching Christ? God Bless, Mitch |

77 | Can a christian be under a curse? | 1 John 4:4 | mitchm0521 | 167397
A Christian can still be affected by the curse, but they do not have to be. Even in the Old Testament when the blessing and the curse was laid out to Israel, we read the condition was If you hearken to the voice of the Lord and do those things that he commands, then these blessing will come upon you and overtake you. (Deu 28:2) However, if they did not listen and do as God commanded, then the curse would come upon them. (Deu 28:15 ) Now, Jesus has redemmed us from the curse part of that old law. We are to live soley in the blessings, however, if we disobey what God's Word says, then yes, the curse can still come upon us. Jesus just made it easy to fulfill the law by saying Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul mind and strength, and your neighbor as yourself. Upon these two hang ALL the law and prophets. ( Matt 22:37 - 40 ) So if we don't fullfill this most important commandments, then we are not doing the will of God, and thus we are not under the protection of the Father. Meaning the curse will overtake you, in some or even all of its forms which include as Deu 28 points out, poverty and every form of sickness. So in short, yes, we can fall under a curse if we do not keep the Word of the Lord, but if we walk by Faith, and live the Word of God in our lives, then we walk free of all curses, we walk in a place of prosperity and divine health, and that Wicked one touches us not! ( 1 John 5:18 ) So as I said, jesus redemed us from the curse, we do not have to put up with anything that the curse involves, just like he has redeemed us of our sins, and we don't have to live a sinful life, however, if we don't obey his word, then we are in sin, and sin is the cause of the curse. HOpe this helped! Mitch |

78 | What can a wife do to help her husband | 1 Pet 3:1 | mitchm0521 | 166175
I would have to say that the best thing do is read through 1 Peter Chapter 3. The first few verses talk about the impact a woman of faith can have on an unbelieving husband. Remember, when you are subject to him though, God comes first for you. YOu don't have to submit to the point to where you give up your walk with God. People tend to think submit is such a bad word, its not. A good dictionary, such as Vine's will expose that word for you better. God Bless! Mitch |

79 | homeless children and battered childrens | 1 John | mitchm0521 | 166173
Its always hard dealing with these issues with nonbelievers. As you and I know, God is full of love and compassion. However there are things that happen to good innocent people in this world, take for instance abortion. Around 5000 children are slaughtered each day by Abortion. The best thing I could think of for you to tell him, is that God did not create us to be puppets. He has given us the power of life and death ( Proverbs 18:21 ) Also remember that Paul said that if our gospel is hidden, its hidden to them whom the god of this world has blinded their eyes. ( 2 Cor 4:3,4 ) The best thing you can do is allow the Love of God to display through you, in the way you treat this man, and the way you treat everyone else. He will see the Love. Jesus said so himself. ( John 17:23 ) The bad things that happen in this life we can never blame on God. We know that the Bible says God is Love (1 John 4:8) God doesn't send any sickness or disease, or poverty upon anyone. The devil is the one who does all that. ( John 10:10 ) I guess what I'm saying, is that if this person is hard of hearing, and wont let you tell him that God is full of love, and its not his will for these things to happen, but these things do happen, because God's laws have been violated, then your best bet is just to pray for this person, and walk in Love with them. God Bless, Mitch |

80 | verses that help me deal with rejection | 1 John | mitchm0521 | 166164
As a good start for helping with the fear of rejection, or any fear for that matter, I'd suggest reading the entire book of 1 John in the New Testament. John writes in this book on the Love of God, and in Chapter 4 verse 18 he goes as far as to say that Perfect Love (the God love ) casts out fear. These scriptures should be very helpful for you. But don't just read them, take time to think about them, take some time to try to remember some of them. And speak them over yourself. You have what the Word says you have. For instance read through the 4th Chapter, and begin to say "God is Love, and I'm his child, I live in him, therefore his perfect Love casts out all fear from me. I have no fear. I have no hurts, because his perfected love has cast out fear" HOpe this helps you Mitch |
