62 | Can a divorced person remarry? | 1 Cor 7:15 | farout | 39225
Divorce is sin. Does divorce have a significantly different way of confessing this sin? When either christian remarries, there is no way to the mend previous marriage. 1 John 1 9 does not say that there is any sin if we confess He will not forgive us. There may be wounds and scars that we will carry for our sins. However, I look at King David and I see God's mercy, love, and forgiveness. Legalism is what Jesus fought. There are not two standards, divorce is sin. God loves the sinner, but hates the sin. We too should do the same.
63 | Divorce or Putting Away ? | Matt 5:32 | farout | 39220
In the old Testament PUTTING AWAY was what God hated. Is Jesus refering in this verse to PUTTING AWAY or a written certificate of divorce? Please answer after you have done a word study. There is a huge difference between the two.
64 | If we ask for healing does God answer no | 1 Peter | farout | 39196
Yes, and no. The relationship with the sick, asking Jesus to heal them, while he walked on earth is one area by it's self. The question does Jesus say no to healing today is also yes and no. Confused yet? When we ask to be healed today, say from cancer, have you ever seen God answer no? Again my answer to you is yes and no. Yes some people are healed now, but not often that I see. Please remember any healing while we are alive is only temporary, we will die eventually. We are pilgrims just passing through, and heaven is our real home. We will be new, have new bodies, so ultimately we are healed. The verse you quote for me means Jesus Stripes that he bore was for my sin. Do you think that might be a different way at loking at this? |

65 | dinasaurs? did they exist? | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 38846
Dear Hank: Thank you for your review, no offence is taken. I usually do a better job. I am one hundred percent disabled and take some thirty two medications. I should not have responded last night after taking my medications. I will in the future not respond after taking my late night meds. My deepest regret for the many mistakes I made. This does not excuse my lack of proof reading, but lets you know how much of a struggle my life is. God Bless and thank you again.
66 | dinasaurs? did they exist? | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 38789
There is no doubt that they existed. We have their boned. We also have in Arizona a place where mans footprints are right nest to these created big relics. In the Grand Canyon fossils ate found not according to what eveolutionists clain. A recent non-christian thought on creation is INTELLEGENT DESIGN which I have only heard about on Christian radio. So you might find a book on it. When these animals lived is only a guess. I was not there contrary to my childrens thinking, I am not old as dirt. I think they died after the flood. The earth had changed axis and climate was most assuredly different. However all this points to a wonderful creator which made animals and nam with many simularities. Lungs, reproduction, blood, and on and on. I would suggest Creation Instute in I think Riverside Cailf. They have very fine materials. As for millions of years I do not think so, but I was not there as I said. Hope this helps.
67 | Just and unjust | Eccl 8:14 | farout | 38784
Matthew 5 45. That was easy. to fine some thing like this look un your concordance under RAIN. There should be several references to rain. We all have to start somewhere and never be afraid to ask a question, we are all growing.
68 | does God ever say no | 1 Peter | farout | 38782
Well we know what hampers prayer.1 Peter 3 7. Jesus said anyhing we ask in according to his will it shall be done. Who wants not do be in His will? So maybe we should always ask if this is your will. But if we ask amiss and it is not His will is that no? I tend to think the answer is ask again this time according to whats best for us. Paul most assuredly was turned away several times from places he wanted to go. This is just my thoughts. What do you think.
69 | Bibical list of deacon duties. | Titus 1:8 | farout | 38773
I admire someone that thinks, and does not agree. You have good reason to ask for substantion. This make take a while as I need to go through my old Leadership Magizines. Please do not expect a fast answer. But I will do my best. I thought the mention of Women as Decons might stir some questions.
70 | did cain marry his sister or someone els | Genesis | farout | 38511
This is a real thouht proviking question, good one too. What ages were Adam and eve when they left the garden? Just for the sake of having a place to start lets say 16 to 24. I am sure Eve and Adam enjoved sexual pleasure. Adam and Eve being as close to physical perfect as possible after their fall, were able to have reproduction capabilities far beyond that we have today. Assume Eve concieved every eighteen months. Which is reasonable even today this happens. Lets assume Eves daughters reached reproctivity ability at 12 to 16 like today. At that rate you could easly have 100 humans in a suprising short time. perhaps 15 to 20 years. Remember Adam and Eve lived a long time. So Cain either married a sister or niece. This was not considered incest at the time. Remember the gene pool was much purer than now. The further the reproductive offspring spreds out the less blood related the children become. I hope this helps I ve keept it real basic.
71 | Can faith alone without work save you? | NT general Archive 1 | farout | 38508
Oh Dear friend: You can praise the Lord for Martin Luther of old. While a monk he fought and groped with was it works and faith. While Luther was studing Romans 1 verse 17 he was set free! Faith plus nothing but Jesus Christ equaled salvation! How wonderful, how merceifull. That was the thesis he posted on the Wittenburg door. This was a very vital change in thinking from selling indulgences for sins. A significant historical book is HERE I STAND A Life of Martin Luther by Roland Bainton, Abimgton-Cokesbury Press. I think it was written about 1948. Copies you would most like find in a Good Christian Library or Seminary. Perhaps a used book store, but they are rare and go for 40 dollars. This book is well worth it. You will learn why you are not a Catholic, this I consider vital. Good question, God Bless

73 | Bibical list of deacon duties. | Titus 1:8 | farout | 38505
I have a challenging thought. Perhaps it is life patterns of significant Christlike living, and not qualifications. If a Deacon in the truest form according to Acts, they were to wait on tables, so the elders could do more of their work. Today in some fundamental Churches a divorced person can not serve. Say nothing of a woman! However a Deacon might have had several sexual infidelities and because he was not divorced be QUALIFIED to serve. I personally like the Elders with the Pastor leading the church. I think it is closer to scripture than a Pastor answering to a decon board. No pastor should be voted out by any group with out working with GODLY leadership. I am convienced that 95 percent of the church deacons are serving out of selfish desires to be boss. Leadership Maginizine did a poll several years ago and found out few deacons serve to serve Christ. The Church is not a democracy! We have too many un spiritual people making spiritual choices for the direction they want the church to go! Do I hear a amen out there?

75 | do babies go to heaven or hell? | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 37949
Dear friend in Christ. Denominations mean little to me. I have been a ABC baptist, Concertive Baptist, Southern Baptist, and now attend Calvary Chapel in Lake of the Ozarks. I say that just to make a point that it's not what the denomination says, or even the pastor but the Living Word of God. If we take Christ literally when he told the repentant thief on the cross he would be with Jesus that very day; Then why wshould we not take King Davids word as well? wE MAY HAVE A SIN NATURE BUT WHEN DO WE OF CHOICE BEGIN TO WILLFULLY SIN? Certianly not at birth ! Would you not agree that God is the one to make such mercy calls? Might I suggest even those special humans with no brain function are in His arms. I have done over 120 funerals. Never have I condemend someone to hell. I am not the judge. I can say with complete honesty that they are in the presents of Jesus. How Jesus makes theeir eternal home known to each person is Jesus job. I believe if a person has failed to make Jesus their LORD and followed in growth that person is not saved, but made a delerbet choice to follow satan and his lost angels. I am not the judge but I can say with assurance every knee will bow and agree with the Mercyfull loving God's judgement.

I have been a Christian twenty years, born again at age 37. My verse I love is I DO BELIEVE, HELP ME WITH MY UNBELIEF. I feel prayer is a supreme act of faith. How can God hear our thoughts? where is heaven? These are child like questions, but I am very serious and would like some really thought out answers. I have a M. DIV so I am looking for some genuine theoligical thinking, please. If you also struggle with this I would like to know how you deal with it too. I bekieve that if I seek answers so must others, so lets bring it to the surface!
