People who read the bible and believe. want to do God's will. It is a choice you make. Continue to read the bible if seek the truth. We are all sinners. Are you willing to be convicted of your sin Romans 1. I have sin, I acknowledge that it is a sin. I want to do God's will. Paul struggled with sin (not the same sin) Romans 7:14-25. The lasts verse say "O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God-through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin".. I am a new christian. I was baptized over 10 years ago. It is only until now, I see you have to change you life and read the Word.. A true believer lives a different life from the world. That is when you begin to hear his voice when you read the Word. He will direct you in the way to go. If you allow him.. |

62 | Jesus in the beginning | 1 Cor 8:5 | Noveta | 130292
Tara, I am a little confused.. Why are you adding words. The bible doesn't say “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with the Trinity, and the Word was the Trinity. The same was in the beginning with the Trinity.” In context John 1:1,2 is explaining who Jesus is .. 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. There are other scriptures that point out the Father is God and the Holy Spirit is God. The word trinity is not in the bible.. It is a word that has a meaning and is a coalition of many scriptures found in the bible. We are finite, God is infinite.. why are you trying to calculate what the Bible is simply telling you.. What is the difference between the beginning in Genesis 1 and John 1 Genesis 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. I was neglecting responding to you because you read a different Bible, which gives a different meaning, but I need to ask this question. |

63 | One God, One Jesus Christ | 1 Cor 8:5 | Noveta | 130249
With due respect Tara, I am a new christian. I get enough of this in my home. I am so happy to find a christian web site. I have your Watch Towers.. I have studied with you for years. Even though I am new I understand that your bible is different from mine. Out of your bible comes a different Christ. I believe in the Christ.. that is not Michael the Angel.. Read Hebrews chapter one 1. This is what I have learned.. I agree with the other posts.. Please find a JW study forum. I leave you with this wonderful scripture. It helped me to understand Jesus's position as both man and god. It was also stated in another post. Phil. 2:5-8, "Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross." GOD BLESS.. |

65 | One God, One Jesus Christ | Not Specified | Noveta | 130213
I found this question in the post. It was not answered.. Or I did not see one. Can I please get a response for this? Do you ridicule the apostle Paul? 1 Cor 8:5,6 states: "For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." There is only one God (with a capital G) the Father Jehovah. |

74 | Understanding Psalms 45 | John 1:1 | Noveta | 129718
You are probably right. I need to stay away until I become stronger.I was baptized several years ago. But only now have I been practicing and reading the bible everyday. But I need to clarify something.. regarding Psalms 45. Your answer clearly points to scriptures that say Jesus is God. But I need to understand Psalms 45. I was doing research and I found it is a "Royal Wedding Song" If that is the case can you explain what is meant by 6-7. I am trying to learn how to read things in context. If this is a wedding song, I would think they are talking about GOD in these verses even though it is a song for the King at his wedding.. is that correct.. |

75 | Is Jesus being called God or a God? | Not Specified | Noveta | 129632
I have been talking to a Jehovah's Witnesses. We were discussing Hebrews 1. I was trying to point out the diety of Christ in Hebrews 1-9. As you know parts of this scripture reference the Psalms 45. My questions is: If the Psalms is addressing the king. Is the Psalms calling the king God. as in Hebrews. The Jehovah's Witnesses, say even though the king is being called a god doesn't mean he is the One True God as it in in Hebrews. He says that Jesus is being referenced as a God but not the one True God. Saying that God in this context means a God. And he goes on to say how can God, Your God ..be one in the same? |
