61 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97183
CDBJ, The 144,000 have the seal of the Father during the entire 1260 Endtime days. They also receive the seal (name) of the Lamb on the Lastday because they are not only the "Firstfruit unto God AND the Lamb" (14:1,4) but also become the Bridegroom's Gift (Gift of Son of Man to His Father) on that Day. They "follow the Lamb wherever He goes" as He reaps the wicked armies to the winepress of God's great anger over an area of 1600 stadia." Rev.14:1-5, Rev.14-20. Then they "come on the clouds of heaven with the Son of Man and "present Him to the Ancient of Days and sing the song of the Lamb" before the Court sits in judgment on the Beast. Dan.7:9-13, Rev.15:1-4. Then the Temple opens for the 3-Act Drama of Testimony, Tribunal and Triumph. Rev.7:9-17, Rev.8:1-5, Rev.11:15-19. I agree that Gentile Believers are mentioned in Rev.12:17. Satan persecutes them during the 1260 days. But, having come out of the great tribuation in 7:9-14, they learn they have won the reward offered to the Church in Rev.3:12, i.e., of "serving God day and night as Pillars in heaven's Temple" for 1000 years. Rev.7:15-17, Rev.20:4,5. So Rev.12:6 to Rev.13:18 occurs before the Testimony/Tribunal of Rev.7:9-8:5. The Triumhp of Trump 7 immediately follows the Tribunal of Seal 7. You state the section in Matt.24:15-21 is a warning to believers, not unbelievers!? Since Believers are not appointed to God's wrath, this section is rather a warning to Unbelievers. The remnant of Believers that have the seal of the Father will escape to the desert and not be harmed during the 1260 Endtime days! I agree the great tribulation is Satan's doing, yet Daniel and Revelation indicate that Believers as well as Israelis will be "purged or else purified and refined." Dan.12:10,11, Rev.12:10,11 and Zech.13:8,9. God uses the persecution of the great tribulation so that all Believers will be "worthy of the Father when Christ appears with all the Saints" as Paul prays in I Thess.3:13 and Jesus requires in Mark 8:38. Only "some must taste death during the 3 1/2 days after time is no longer and the 7th Trumpet is about to sound." I agree the great tribulation is not the wrath of God ... not even the 7 last Plagues because they only "complete God's anger." Rev.15:1 (Greek). The Plagues do not "complete His wrath" since that wrath occurs after the last Plague when Christ descends and "treads the winepress of God's wrath" in Rev.19:11-15. God's wrath, announced in heaven only at the 7th Trumpet, occurs after "chronos-time ends in the days before Trump 7 sounds." Rev.10:6,7. I therefore also agree with you that "the rapture and the wrath of God occur on the same day!" Believers will be "gathered together above" on the last day, including the 144,000 as the Firstfruit of the living harvest; but the Jewish Remant (not the 144,000) will "look up" after Christ appears with all the Saints because they will "know their redemption and kingdom is near." Luke 21:28,31. They will "beg to escape and to stand before the Son of Man." Believers will be "kept from the hour of trial." Rev.3:10. Jews will pray and beg to escape the trial "coming on all of earth's inhabitants" as Jesus urges in verses 35,36. Redemption of all Believers is a certainty long before the last day on which Jews will be rescued as per Joel 2:32. Just as you wrote, "Believers are not in darkness that that day should overtake them as a thief." You too have a great day and be preserved from hurricane Isabel this week. Mel |

63 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97155
I don't share the view of a six-day theory because Luke says it was "about eight days." I do agree with you that the transfiguration was a type of the second coming. That is exactly why I believe Jesus said that *some* must still face the prospect of martyrdom after He comes in kingdom power in order to fulfill Rev.12:10 when "they love not their life unto death." After all, Endtime Saints are the ones who will need the most encouragement. By saying that "some will still taste death when He is about to come in glory," He indicates that "many will survive to the End and be saved" from physical death as He promised in Matt.24:14! Revelation also promises that those who endure will be "kept from the hour of trial that comes on all the inhabitants of earth ... an hour that Luke states will occur on the Day Christ appears in glory." Luke 21:35,36. Mel
64 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97154
CDBJ, You have given some good verses showing the apostasy must come before the Lawless One is revealed. But there will be Saints on the earth until the Day Christ comes in glory since He promised to "gather the Elect from earth to heaven in the days after the tribulation ... and to raise up every Believer on the last day." Even the remnant will be kept safe in the desert until the Lamb rescues them on that last day. So I would not agree in saying "That isn’t to say the saints will go through the whole 1260 days i.e. 3 ½ years, because for them a removal will take place somewhere within that period." Jesus said those days will be cut short so that NOT all the Elect will die ... not even during the final 3 1/2 days until the 7th Trumpet sounds. Mel |

65 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97093
Darcy, We still need to settle why Jesus had only "some" in mind who "would not taste death, by any means, until after they had seen the kingdom of God coming in power." His challenge relates to those who must still expect to taste death when "time is no longer and He is about to come in glory." "Truly," this mandate was so important that Jesus actully closed His Mission purpose for coming to build His Church with this mandate for "some who would taste death." A week later He took Peter, James and John to the Mount of Transfiguration. You observed that this mandate for death "began to be fulfilled in Mark 9:2" a week after He spoke these words. I am saying the context for an appointment with death relates to being unashamed of Jesus when He comes in glory with the angels to reward every believer (See parallel, Matt.16:27,28). His prediction to those who heard Him could not relate to the first century becaue they ALL died. He said only "some would die." The context was that of being "unashamed of Him at His coming in glory when it is *about" to happen!" I do not believe His message was merely informational, but that it was connected with being faithful unto death even when some must still taste death after they have seen God's Kingdom Power at the Endtime of Rev.12:10,11 when all Believers will Overcome because "they will love not their life unto death." I can't help but feel you are satisfied with the only reason for the prediction was to assure Peter, James and John alone that they must die ... but without saying when or why??? Mel |

66 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97049
None of them died before the Spirit of promise came and endued them with power! Even the thought of whether Believers could die before they received eternal life is a hypothesis that is contrary to God's promise. I urge you to consider the main point of Mark 9:1, i.e., that Jesus is not thinking of the disciples but of "those who will be standing here" (when He is about to come in glory with the holy angels, Mark 8:38). Many in the Church today are not overcomers, but "they will overcome Satan by not loving their life unto death ... even some who must taste death for up to 3 days after the Two Prophets are killed." 67 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97048
Believers will not deny Christ during the 1260 days when Believers "will know the end is near." Matt.24:33. Because of God's Kingdom Power, "they will love not their life (corporately) unto death. They overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb." Rev.12:10,11. Rev.13:8 and 17:8 indicate that only those whose names are NOT written in the Lamb's Book of Life will worship the Beast. 69 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 96988
Darcy, I understand your point about only 3 disciples "seeing" Him transfigured a week later. But He was not talking about a few who would not taste death, by any means, for no more than just a single week! What was the point of telling only these 3 they would survive just one week? Besides, Jesus did not come in Kingdom Power on the Mount because it was a foretaste of His coming in Person ... not of coming in power. Again, the context of Matt.16:27,28 shows that He was thinking of the Endtime period of 1260 days during which Believers will "know the End is near." They will count the 1260 days knowing that only "some standing here," in that context, must still die for Christ. This verse is His challenge for Believers to "not be ashamed of Him at His coming in glory." That too is the context of Mark 8:38 and 9:1. Mel. www.lastday.net |

70 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 96985
Asis, I meant to explain that Christ comes in power at the End of time ... during the 1260 days when the Two Prophets "stand before the God of earth." You did not answer my question on why Jesus would say that only "some" would taste death when, in fact, they all died. Mel www.lastday.net |

71 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 96982
How did Mark 9:1 begin to be fulfilled, as you wrote, in Mark 9:2? Why did Jesus say that only "some" would taste death when they ALL died after Mark 9:2? What was the point of adding, in the Greek, that these "few" would not taste death by any means? Rev.12:10,11 reveals when "they love not their life unto death." It happens during the 42 months or 1260-day End of time. "Some will taste death *after* the Two Prophets finish their task of demonstrating God's Kingdom Power which occurs, as Jesus said, when "the Son of Man is about to come in glory." Matt.16:27,28. Verse 28 will be fulfilled in the few days before Christ appears in glory. See Meditation at www.lastday.net. Mel |

72 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 96961
What would be the point of saying that "some would not taste death, by any means, until after Pentecost"? All the Apostles died after Pentecost. The only explicit reference to the NOW of God's Kingdom Power is Rev.12:10. Mel |

Candy Lee, Mark 9:1 must be understood in connection with Rev.12:10 where we find God's Kingom Power and Christ's Authority taking place at the Endtime of 1260 days ... see verses 6 and 14!! Mel Miller at www.lastday.net, and click on Meditations. |

74 | How can Rev 6, 16, 19 be concurrent? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 44856
Thank you, dear Searcher. You have not rejected me but have failed to agree with the "word of the Lord" that He "raises up every/all believer(s) on the last day...that He will gather the elect from earth to heaven in the days AFTER the great tribulation and that God will bring ALL the souls of those that sleep in Jesus with Him." At least you cannot claim you did not know what He promised to all who "believe He died and rose." Mel
75 | How can Rev 6, 16, 19 be concurrent? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 44836
Please see part of the answer in my other note today on Seal Six which must open on the Day Christ appears in glory...or Jesus erred!! I am dedicated to the very "words of the Lord" as was Paul in the Rapture passage of I Thess.4:13-18. If trib-martyrs are among those who "sleep in Jesus," then God must "bring their souls with Jesus" so they also "rise first"...before those who are "alive and survive are caught up with the dead in Christ to meet the Lord"! 76 | Lastday, where are "invading armies"? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 44832
Since Jesus placed the Sign of Seal Six and His coming in glory during "one of the days" which follows the great tribulation ("after the great tribulation"; Mark 13:24; Matt.24:29), God must therefore require the armies of Rev.16:14-16 to cross the Euphrates and enter the land of Israel to "fight against the Lamb"...PRIOR to that Sign! Rev.10:6,7 shows "chronos time ends in the days when Trump 7 is about to sound that God's wrath has come"). Rev.17:14; Rev.11:18. The seven classes hiding in the mountains would not have time to do so on the day the sun turns dark! They come to know the Day of Wrath has arrived only after they hide from these armies. They do not acknowledge the Lamb's wrath has come until the sun turns dark; the heavens shake and the mountains begin to disappear. They cry out for falling rocks to shield them from God's wrath AFTER the sun darkens and Christ must appear. On that day the mountains and cities disappear during the "Hour of Trial" when Christ appears with "ALL the Saints...including those who have overcome to the end." Rev.16:18-21; Luke 21:35; Rev.3:10; I Thess.3:13; Rev.2:26. Jews will "know their redemption and kingdom are near" when these things occur. They will "beg to escape and to stand before the Son of Man"! Luke 21:28,31,36. Believers do not need to beg (Greek) because they will know the End is Near for 1260 days (plus up to 3 more days until the last martyr is killed and Trump 7 sounds. It sounds on the lastday after the Two Prophets rise up since Jesus said He will "raise up ALL believers on the lastday." Rev.11:7,11,15; John 6:38,40,44,54. Seal Six occurs "before the Day of Wrath" begins; but Seal Six, Seal Seven and Trump Seven occur on that same day or those waiting on Mt. Zion would not be "rescued" as millions wait in the "valley of decision." Joel 2:31,32; 3:14-17; Zech.14:12. Surviving Believers will have already proved they are worthy to meet the Lord. "Some (but not all) will taste death after" the Two Prophets finish demonstrating God's Kingdom Power for 1260 days. Mark 9:1. Trib-Saints will know better than to hide in the mountains! Except the 144,000 whom the Lamb rescues from Mt.Zion. Rev.14:1. Mel |

77 | Seal Six - Sign of the Lastday? | Rev 6:12 | Lastday | 44680
Blessings to you also, Makarios. If the Day on which the Sign of Christ's coming in Matt.24:29-31 occurs "after the great tribulation" as Jesus states; and if it is the same Day as that of Rev.6:12-14, I'm wondering if you might come to see that the sun remains darkened while every mountain and island continues to move out of place until all the cities disappear and the wicked are desgtroyed on that same day to fulfill Rev.6:15-21; Zech.14:1-7 (before the light returns in the evening) and Rev.19:11-21. 78 | Seal Six - Sign of the Lastday? | Rev 6:12 | Lastday | 44633
What Sign did Jesus give, other than that of Seal Six, to launch and encompass the events of the unknown "day and hour" of His coming in glory? How many verses in Revelation describe events of that Day? Mel at lastday@pinn.net.
79 | "Seven classes" of men? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 44434
Thank you, Makarios, for the kind words. I am on my way now to the Library at Regent University to research why the expulsion of Satan from heaven, recorded in Rev.12:7-10, has not been recognized as one of "five catalysts of the Endtime." Mel
80 | Where are the "Seven Thunders"? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 44431
Amazingly, Rev.6:15,16 occurs on the same 12-Hour Day that Rev.16:15,16 and Rev.19:15,16 occur! On that Day Christ destroys the armies at Armageddon and rescues every believer as He promised. John 6:38-40. He will "gather the Elect from earth to heaven in the days after the great tribulation." Mark 13:24,27. No one can deny this truth that Jesus alone "raises up all believers before He sends the angels to gather them above and out of the four winds of heaven." Matt.24:31. The seven last plagues have been finished as of Rev.6:12 when the sun ceases to shine, the heavens are shaken, the stars fall, the islands move out of their places, the mountains disappear and the wicked disintegrate while standing in their tracks! Rev.16:19-21; Zech.14:12. The messages of the Seven Thunders, which John has not yet revealed, speak out in Rev.10:1-4. Because he alone knows their content; but also digested the book which he "sealed up" before learning that he must prophesy again...he alone is qualified to reveal to these seven classes of men that, as Seal Six opens on the Lastday, "The Wrath of the Lamb has come." These classes are hiding in unbelief before the sun turns dark! The point about the two groups is that one group acknowledges God's wrath has come after hiding from the armies at Armageddon. When Christ appears to destroy the wicked, God allows those who are hiding to either "call on the rocks to hide them from His wrath also...or, instead of seeking to save themselves, and remembering the promise of Joel 2:31,32, they may cry out to the Lord to deliver them from death. They "remember Lot's wife." Luke 17:32,33. The word "preserve" is the same as that used of "keeping Moses alive" when all the male babies were killed. Acts 7:19. Mel |
