61 | Satan fall? Luke 10:18? | Is 14:12 | He-man | 139044
Looks like Luke 10:14,15 is the answer to your question: 14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you. 15 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell. The power of casting out devils was bestowed by Christ while on earth upon the apostles, Matt. 10:8, and the seventy disciples, Luke 10:17-19, It is referenced by: Mark 5:8 Acts 19:13 and Matt 12:27,28 8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. Demoniacs. This word is frequently used in the New Testament, and applied to persons suffering under the possession of a demon or evil spirit, such possession generally showing itself visibly in bodily disease or mental derangement. We are led, therefore, to the ordinary and literal interpretation of these passages, that there are evil spirits, who, in the days of the Lord himself and his apostles especially, were permitted by God to exercise a direct influence over the souls and bodies of certain men. The good Samaritan, Luke 10, etc. 3. Toward the close of our Lord’s ministry the parables are again theocratic, but the phase of the divine kingdom on which they chiefly dwell is that of its final consummation. In interpreting parables note—(1) The analogies must be real, not arbitrary; (2) The parables are to be considered as parts of a whole, and the interpretation of one is not to override or encroach upon the lessons taught by others; (3) The direct teaching of Christ presents the standard to which all our interpretations are to be referred, and by which they are to be measured. Haven't been there ain't going..Didn't the Phœnicians invent letters that were universally asserted by the Greeks and Romans to have been communicated by the Phœnicians to the Greeks. And for example, it sanctioned the dreadful superstition of burning children as sacrifices to a Phœnician god. Again, parts of the Phœnician religion, especially the worship of Astarte, tended to encourage dissoluteness in the relations of the sexes, and even to sanctify impurities of the most abominable description. What effect did this have on the Jewish people? |

see TYRE and ZIDON. Phœnicia is now a land of ruins. It is in reference to this siege that the prophecy against Tyre in Isaiah, ch. 23, Ezek. 28:2–12 was uttered. See References below: Astarte was actually a warrior goddess of Canaan and Syria who is a Western Semitic counterpart of the Akkadian Ishtar worshipped in Mesopotamia. In the Egyptian pantheon to which she was officially admitted during the 18th Dynasty, her prime association is with horses and chariots. On the stela set up near the sphinx by Amenhotep II celebrating his prowess, Astarte is described as delighting in the impressive equestrian skill of the monarch when he was still only crown prince. In her iconography her aggression can be seen in the bull horns she sometimes wears as a symbol of domination. Similarly, in her Levantine homelands, Astarte is a battlefield goddess. For example, when the Peleset (Philistines) killed Saul and his three sons on Mount Gilboa, they deposited the enemy armor as spoils in the temple of "Ashtoreth" Like Anat, she is the daughter of Re and the wife of the god Seth, but also has a relationship with the god of the sea. From the woefully fragmentary papyrus giving the legend of Astarte and the sea we learn that Yamm, the sea god, demanded tribute from the gods, particularly Renenutet. Her place is then taken by Astarte called, in this aspect, "daughter of Ptah". The story is lost from that point on but one assumes this liaison resulted in the goddess tempering the arrogance of Yamm. It should also be noted that outside of Egypt, as well as being a warlike goddess, Astarte seems to have had sexual and motherhood attributes. http://www.touregypt.net/godsofegypt/astarte.htm The religion of the Phœnicians, opposed to Monotheism, was of the forces of nature, and in its most philosophical shadowing forth of the supreme powers it may be said to have represented the male and female principles of production. In its popular form it was especially a worship of the sun, moon, and five planets, or, as it might have been expressed according to ancient notions, of the seven planets—the most beautiful and perhaps the most natural form of idolatry ever presented to the human imagination. Their worship was a constant temptation for the Hebrews to Polytheism and idolatry— Because undoubtedly the Phœnicians, as a great commercial people, were more generally intelligent, and as we should now say civilized, than the inland agricultural population of Palestine. When the simple-minded Jews, therefore, came in contact with a people more versatile and apparently more enlightened than temselves, but who nevertheless, either in a philosophical or in a popular form, admitted a system of Polytheism, an influence would be exerted on Jewish minds tending to make them regard their exclusive devotion to their own one God, Jehovah, however transcendant his attributes, as unsocial and morose. The Phœnician religion had in other respects an injurious effect on the people of Palestine, being in some points essentially demoralizing. For example, it sanctioned the dreadful superstition of burning children as sacrifices to a Phœnician god. Again, parts of the Phœnician religion, especially the worship of Astarte, tended to encourage dissoluteness in the relations of the sexes, and even to sanctify impurities of the most abominable description. Where is the Garden of Eden? Iraq. Where is Abraham from? Iraq. Where is Babylon? Iraq. Where is the Tower of Babel? Iraq. Where was the first alphabet scripted? Iraq.(Code of Hammurabi) Where is Nineveh? Iraq.(note:Jonah was swallowed by the whale), Where is the Hanging Garden? Iraq. Where is Ishtar Gate? Iraq. Where is the Ziggurat? Iraq (at Ur 2013 B.C.E.). Where was Nebuchadnezzar from? Iraq (Babylon).Zechariah 11:12,13 12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD. Why? Because Abraham was looking for his inheritance in the future.Zechariah 2:12 12 And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again. Proverbs 14:12 12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 75 | where it all began in Genesis? | Joel 2:3 | He-man | 139704
In The Beginning God created the Garden of Eden; is it not comprehensible that In The End He will again create the Garden of Eden, where it all began in Genesis? Genesis 11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. Where was the first alphabet scripted? Do you think the fulfillment of prophesies are in Iraq? Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. That His promise to Abraham, to inherit the land is now in the process of the final stages? That the war in the land of Iraq just happens to be a coincidence and not related to Isaiah 14:4? That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! That Jesus shall choose Jerusalem again after these things happen? That Abraham was not allowed into the Promised land because the time was not up? That to indicate that the time was not yet, Abraham had to buy his grave site? What does Babel mean? (confusion), Babel Babylon (Greek form of Babel), is properly the capital city of the country which is called in Genesis Shinar, and in the later books Chaldea, or the land of the Chaldeans. The first rise of the Chaldean power was in the region close upon the Persian Gulf; thence the nation spread northward up the course of the rivers, and the seat of government moved in the same direction, being finally fixed at Babylon, perhaps not earlier than b.c. 1700. 77 | Babylon shall be found no more at all? | Joel 2:3 | He-man | 139719
I think this is the answer but is supposition on my part that He will not leave it desolate. Revelation 18:21 21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. Isaiah 11:10-14 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the SECOND TIME to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from SHINAR,and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. 13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. 14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon EDOM and MOAB; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to DESTROY ALL THE NATIONS that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. Isaiah 12:4 4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Revelation 13:9,10 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Philippians 3:18,19 18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 78 | they would not have crucified the Lord | Joel 2:3 | He-man | 139771
Perhaps you do not believe the bible? 1 Corinthians 2:10 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:8 8 Which none of the princes(or Presidents) of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. "Refrain from these men" means exactly what it says. The bible says that you are not to war against anything that God is doing, including Iraq. I only mentioned The Garden of Eden to show you that it is Holy Ground and not to be messed with by us or anyone else, or you will perish with the sword! "if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God..." in Iraq or anywhere else for that matter. The election of Presidents. The disposal of Presidents. Acts 5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: And again in 2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: The job is not ours at this time. This is who will do the job. Matthew 13:41 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; John 18:36 says very clearly that we should not fight. The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769. |
