61 | 1. Is God sovereign? 2.) Free Will? | Job 1:8 | G. Preston | 233074
Doc, You will note that I did not quote the Bible. However, do you differ from that conclusion...if so please share with us....how? Surely, you don't disagree with the conclusion that G-d created everything. |

62 | 1. Is God sovereign? 2.) Free Will? | Job 1:8 | G. Preston | 233071
If G-d pre-determined our spiritual destiny then why did He have Christ to give His life on the cross...for what reason? G-d created Satan to give you and I a choice between.... good and evil...simple as that. We must make a discerning judgement of the two. You will note that G-d controlled application and extent of Satans' power with Job. G-d does not have to justify/compensate in any way for what He allows to happen. Mysterious as it may seem at times to you and I, His plan is righteous. |

Tim Moran, Let's do this by steps; please study Malachi 3;6 G-d has many names. To me all sacred and are used in for contextual reasons... including 'Elohim'. A "textual reason"...Please explain? G-ds....http://www.av1611.org/biblecom.html....et al. Let me know.... if you need more. |

Tim Moran, I see very little from new versions which add to better understanding of G-d's word. The greatest motovation is money and individual/sect glory by sales of a new editions...many others are in the making...I assure you. Each time there is a find in the HolyLand/world...new editions are put in the works. Addendums with reference to and from the new findings would be better received. Even the 16th century KJV was politically motovated....it seems....I concluded ...long ago. I study all...but, when an edition converts...say....G-d to G-ds...(example) that is enough for me...I will not use are recommend it. |

Justme, Oh!!...are you concluding that ..if one disagrees with someone on this forum...the post/note is removed. That's interesting???? Attempts of stiffling debate is not productive for Christ's work. Thats sad. You did not...."ruffle my feathers"....I resent being lumped into a group someone disagrees with out of convenience. |

BradK, Remember you have not given us Bible citations that Baptism is not necessary as part of the soul cleansing process...as you maintain. When can we expect to receive your response? G-d bless you...here you go again...I never said the KJV is the only acceptable Bible.....it is my choice for study of G-d's word. Your process of lumping me into the ..."KJV only crowd"... shows your apparent personal animosity toward other thinking and beliefs. That is not constructive. Had KJV ONLY been my choice ....I would have never been aware of omissions and changes as noted. Your opinion is well known as contrary to the KJV and many reject it. |

I don't believe I said that. Please re-read my note. It was offered for your consideration. In finality we have what we have. Pray about it and use common sense discernment. When someone changes references from G-d(singular) to G-ds(plural)...as an example...I become concerned..don't you?. When questioned... they offer the reasoning using the Father/Son/Holy Spirit as a basis for G-ds. Perhaps In the next edition they will omit any reference to G-d and at that time there will be those who argue against what the.. now new.... one says. I am sure you are aware but, for reminders to all of us the origional KJV was brought about by the king of england who assembled the greatest scholars known at the time, who used the only known to man... manuscripts. I don't know how much closer we will ever be able to come to the origional Word. Please answer a question for me...we have one from the origional manuscripts...why is another/new one necessary...for what purpose? Faith and G-d's guidance from prayer is fullfilling. |

69 | Baptized | Matthew | G. Preston | 232336
Beja, I have not said that baptism saves us...one thing at a time for us to be constructive...where did you get this? |
||||||
70 | Baptized | Matthew | G. Preston | 232328
BradK, The Bible says it. Not me. The church is not always right and are often out of step with G-d's word. Please be consistent with the rule and give me references that baptism is not necessary and we can have a good dialogue here, which will be helpful. To this time you have shared no bible references which support your contention that baptism is not necessary. Please do so. I am afraid some mix the process of getting prepared...the heart...with receiving eternal salvation. |

72 | Baptized | Matthew | G. Preston | 232325
BradK, You are not challenging me.... perhaps G-ds Word. I am surprised you need references. I am aware there are different conclusions on baptism and I don't understand why; The KJV Bible speaks volumes on Baptism. I invite consideration of the following; Mark 16 Acts 2 and 22 1 Peter 3 Galations 3 Romans 6 There are many others. This is so basic I will not addres it further. |

73 | Baptized | Matthew | G. Preston | 232311
I don't believe you have accepted Christ, if you have not been baptised. The two go together, I submit. So why would anyone want to take the chance with their eternal salvation?,...the most important thing we can strive for in this physical life.
74 | why are some Christians ok with swearing | Rom 12:14 | G. Preston | 232310
Be careful how you use the word..."Christian". A Christian does not swear. |
||||||
75 | Baptized | Matthew | G. Preston | 232309
G-d can and will impute as He wishes...so He did on the cross. John 3;16 speaks of salvation. We must be reminded that when Christ presented himself to John for baptism...John said..."why must(not should; not may; not can!!) it be"?...Christ said ..."for completion"...of what...the cleansing process. The Bible is full of examples of what we are to do and how we are to prepare ourselves to receive eternal salvation.

77 | All nations must firsthear the gospel? | Matt 24:14 | G. Preston | 232287
It's there. May I suggest this is a good one to search the Scriptures starting with the book of Matthew. While you are locating the info...I assure you much overall knowledge of G-d's word will be received. If you cannot find it.... post and I will look it up. |

Eternal salvation....(not being curt) do you know of a better one?
80 | Is there a bible verse that means this? | Rom 8:28 | G. Preston | 232259
I would urge you to give more thought to your statement. To suggest that..."most of what happens has nothing to do with G-d"...can't stand for many reasons. Nothing,Nothing happens without G-d allowing it to happen. This point is clearly depicted in the guidance set forth in the book of Job. S t u d y the book of Job and see if you have the same conclusion...after. |
