64 | Is oral sex among a married couple a sin | Bible general Archive 1 | teragram123 | 55577
If it were not wrong, would so many Christians be in question over it? Not one single Christian has asked if sex between married partners is ok. Normal sex is God ordained. Obviously this "abnormal sex act" is wrong and the pure mind can not accept it as ok. Note that even in the animal kingdom this is not normal. They clean themselves but do not stimulate their mate orally before the act of sex. This filthy act came from the homosexual community and it is pitiful that Christians try to sanction it. Porn sites exploit this as the most exotic along with bestiality. It is unclean and does not exemplify Christ and His Bride in any sense of the imagination. Leviticus 7:21 Moreover the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean beast, or any abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which pertain unto the Lord, even that soul shall be cut off from his people. Leviticus 18:23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. |

65 | allegory of the silversmith | Zech 13:9 | teragram123 | 55570
This came to me as a email... very good alagory for this verse... THE SILVERSMITH There was a group of women in a Bible study on the book of Malachi. As they were studying Chapter 3, they came across Verse 3 which says: "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver". This verse puzzled the women and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible study. That week this woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention the reason for her interest in silver beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest so as to burn away all the impurities. The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot, then she thought again about the verse that says "He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver." She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered that yes, he had not only to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. For if the silver was left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed. The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, "How do you know when the silver is fully refined?" He smiled at her and answered "That's the easy part, when I see my image reflected in it." If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has His eye on you and will keep His hand on you and watch over you until He sees His image in you. --- Author unknown |

67 | DIVORCED,REMARRIED DEACON | Titus 1:6 | teragram123 | 55078
to scribe - I believe that faults within others is an opportunity for grace to be manifested... not my rights and desires. Yes when a spouse is unfaithful, it is a great pain to the union. But the history of the forefathers give innumerable testimonies of great grace that withstood much more pain in their lives than what the average Christian of today is willing to undergo. Philip. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Grace is for endowment of power, not merely a cover-up for my desires to be fulfilled Note the definition of Grace given by Strongs - charis - the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life This does not give me the way out of my trials but the way thru them. O how we need Daniels in our day! |

68 | Elder must be 'the husband of one wife'? | 1 Tim 3:2 | teragram123 | 55072
To weezach - I fully agree with you. The history of the church shows that the narrower view toward remarriage and divorce within the church was taken by the true church. There have always been the more liberal views taken by the more liberal churches. However, some today say and teach that we have come into a more mature understanding of the scriptures and now therefore see that remarriage is not prohibited. If that be true, would it not also seem evident that we should have stronger churches that see God’s power manifested as did the earlier churches? Christ promised answered prayer if we lived according to His Word... John 15:6-7 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. [7] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to see that the Church of today lacks the testimony of seeing prayers answered in a way that would get the attention of the sinners- to the salvation of souls - Which I must say is the reason Christ came in the first place - to seek and to save the lost - but the church of today is more concerned with material prosperity than to see the power of God manifested in such glory that sinners will fall prostrate before the HOLY ALMIGHTY GOD repenting of their sins. Also if the modern view is from God would not families be stronger but again does one need a masters to see that families of today are in a miserable mess! |

69 | Can a person push God too far?? | Luke | teragram123 | 54972
I would ask in return... what view do you have of God Almighty? Why would one "push" HIM at all. Grace is for the broken and contrite heart... Not for the heart that wants to push HIM. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. Many say...God loves me too much to put me in Hell.. ney but I would say... He loved me and died for me... now He waits to see how much I love Him... His love has already been shown... now it is my turn. |

70 | question to smoke pot or not | Gen 1:12 | teragram123 | 54838
Not if Jesus is LORD. The only mind altering He says to do is 2 Cor. 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 2 Tim. 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. Asking if I can reveals a heart that is not submitted to the perfect will of God. My desires are still in control. |

you said it so well a "gateway drug" breaking down the barriers to even harder drugs. When the heart hardens in one area.. it allows new things to enter ones life. The old saying - what one generation does in moderation, the next will do in excess. What our past generations did by accepting the milder drug nicotine, has now come home to roost! Romans 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; |

73 | grace for the repentant heart | 1 Cor 9:17 | teragram123 | 54832
The church has been poor stewards with the gospel. It was never sent to the unrepentant. John the Baptist clearly stated to whom the gospel was sent.Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 3:7-12 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? [8] Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: [9] And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. [10] And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. [11] I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: [12] Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. |

74 | God has not changed | Mal 3:1 | teragram123 | 54831
God is still a covenant God. 2 Tim. 3:1-3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, The apostacy of these last days does not change what God is, even though mankind has broken his part of covenants, God still will require it at our hands. No sin is unpardonable if we confess it (except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit) but the American gospel has hardened us against repentance. What God calls sin is sin and must be confessed and cleanse or be required at our hands. The church must get back to the Commission of Christ.. the gospel. Eze 3:17-20 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. [18] When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. [19] Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. [20] Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul. |
