61 | DOES HEB:10:9 MEAN "REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY | Heb 10:9 | Searcher56 | 231559
God's day to you, donboyntonclu, and welcome to the SBF, No, this has not one thing about Replacement Theology. Read the context and you'll see it is about His sacrafice replacing the former - once for all. Please do not use all caps - for that is rude (it is yelling) and harder for some to read. Searcher |

64 | If God is a loving god, why so much pain | John 3:16 | Searcher56 | 231554
God's day to you, focusahead1, and welcome to the SBF, I think about Job. He suffered as a test for himself and to prove to Satan that Job woould not waiver. Matthew J. Slick wrote for Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry(CARM) with aome good answers. http://carm.org/if-god-all-powerful-and-loving-why-there-suffering-world I think of those in prison (and thier familes) who are suffering because they were convicted of something. I think many did not have a good father to raise them in God's way. Thank you for your ministry, Searcher |

65 | God riding on an angel? | 2 Sam 22:11 | Searcher56 | 231553
RWC, He was between two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony (Exo 25:22) sat enthroned above the cherubim (1Sa 4:4; 2Sa 6:2; Ps 88:1, 99:1). I think it is David's description of God rideing on a cherub and flying ... also in Psalm 18:10). God travels his chariot in the clouds (Psa 104:3). Psalm 139 says God is omnipresent, so I think it is interesting to describe His movements. Searcher |

God's day to you, MrChambers, and welcome to the SBF, The original Bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. We may not have any manuscripts that were written by the original human authors. Before 1450 when Johannes Gutenberg made his first printing press, the Bible was copied by hand aka manuscripts. There are manuscripts such as Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus. The person making a copy, could have made an error - a jot or tittle. The early church had several documents, some that are not included in today's Bible (NT). I'd caution you on reading anything outside of the Bible. In 1380's John Wycliff produced the first hand-written Bible in the English language. Tyndale printed the first ever English New Testament in 1525/6, but only one complete copy exists. I hope I answered your questions, Searcher |

God's day to you, Motley, I base my statement on Matthew 19:5-6 Since a parent-child relationship is temperory (since the child leaves) and the husband-wife is permanent (let no man separate), I would the husband/wife comes before the childern. I understand your point that a child from conception until she or he can care for themselves need nurturing (help). While a child is part of both parents, we must never forget our spouse is still more important. Searcher |

80 | Forgiveness Seventy times Seven | Matt 18:22 | Searcher56 | 231450
God's day to you, Deb, and welcome to the SBF, Love does not take into account a wrong suffered (1Co 13:5) means we don't count ... we always start back at zero, never getting to 490 (Mat 18:22). It is how God forgives (2Co 5:19) ... and we all are repeat offenders of the same sin, or at least I am. On your marriage, we don't give advise. We rather advise you and your husband go to wise Christian counsel, maybe even your pastor. I hope I helped, Searcher |
