41 | searching for the truth | Philem 1:6 | winningside | 164768
Hi FytRobert, I do not think there is a clear-cut answer. I wish there was. Everyone is different and has to be approached differently. I believe the main thing to do is to pray for them and ask God to drop the blinders from off their eyes and make their heart tender to accept God's word. FytRobert, I think that since you care enough about this person's soul to ask, then I think God will show you how to live before them and show you when to say something and when to hold your peace. Only God can change them, or save them, but he can use you as his vessel, especially since you are so willing. Bless you for caring - winningside |

49 | What will our heavenly bodies be? Phys. | Philippians | winningside | 163248
Read all of 1 Corinthians 15. 35But someone may ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?" 36How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. 39All flesh is not the same: Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. 40There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. 41The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor. 42So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"[e]; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. 48As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven. I hope this helps. winningside |

50 | God Question | John 1:18 | winningside | 163246
Hi Lionsheart, I am so very glad to hear that you have been serving God now for 10 years and so now that I know that, I can tell you the rest of my story, because you have been serving God long enough now not to get so discouraged. Well I sat in church for 12 years without getting the grasp of anything. I struggled and struggled and could not figure out why I couldn't figure God out or myself for that matter. But in my 12th year, it's like God made it all clear to me in one night. I was sitting in church dreading even being there the start with and in a bad mood, as usual and before the preaching even started, the preacher just opened his mouth, before the first word came out God hit me. I can not explain it, but I knew God was with me. In that moment he took away doubt, fear, unworthiness, etc etc etc. It was a night that God took it all from me and my life has not been the same since then. Before that night, I could not even say that God loved me, because I was so unworthly, God's timing, not mine. That was over 3 years ago and I am so so very thankful for not getting the "easy road" I am use to having to struggle for every little thing and God knew that about me and it has only made me stronger. I can not figure God out. Everytime I think I have a little bit of grasp on life, God turns around and shows me something new. God is so far past figuring out. Thank God. I am so excited for you, because you are hanging on, you are not giving up the fight and God will reveal himself to you and it will be such a blessing. God does not leave you to your own self and your own understanding. He far surpasses anything we can think or imagine and he has great things in store for you because you are not just taking up space sitting in a church, you are searching, and the word says, when you seek, you will find. Bless you and let us know what God is doing in your life. I am eager to see what God is going to do for you!!!!!!!!!!! winningside |

51 | God Question | John 1:18 | winningside | 163226
Rick, God will show himself to you. Only ask him to make himself real to you and he will. I did not go to church much as a child so I did not know much of anything, but by the grace of God I had a friend who prayed for me, so I started going to church when I was around 30 yrs old. What a hard road it was for me, because I could not understand and God was not real to me and I could not understand how he could be real to anyone. Rick I went to church for years just going through the motions of a christian. Some people I think just walk into the church and Boom there whole lives are changed they are new an happy and life is a grand parade. For me it did not happen that way. I cried, I prayed - God what is wrong with me. I could not make myself get into the church thing no matter how hard I tried. But you know what. It took years, more years than I would want to tell you because I would not want you to get discouraged, but God made himself real to me-in one day. In a time when I was sitting in a church in the back and dreading even being there, God changed my life that night and it has not been the same since. You see, God knows that I am a hard person. He knew what it would take for me. Everyone is different and God has to deal with people in different ways. You see, Rick, it God would have changed me early on like most people, he knows that I would have walked away. Thank God for his all-knowing knowledge. Sometimes God has to fed us year after year for us to be able to keep it down. God is so wonderful. I thank God it took me years to get something that everyone else was getting their first week of being saved. God timing is not our timing and I thank the Lord for it. Hang on, God will reveal himself to you. That I can promise, because God never fails. Remember- no matter what situation you are in, or how long it takes you to get out - you are on the winningside. Amen
52 | Can you please explain tithing? | Malachi | winningside | 163221
Malachi3:8-10 "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. i sincerely hope that this answers your question. I use to try to give it to the poor and do what I wanted with my tithes, but God says to bring the tithes into the storehouse. Our responsiblity is give to the local church that is spiritually feeding us, that is what we are commanded to do. After that, God will deal with the local church with what HE wants done with the money. But you have done your part. You gave to your local church. It is now out of your hands and you will be blessed. As for giving to the poor and to another church, that should be an additional offering. God Bless! |

54 | if you are saved are you always saved? | Bible general Archive 3 | winningside | 162916
Hi Brad, I did not say that I am glad for judgment day, I said judgment day is coming soon and it is, and we all have to be ready. Praying and asking forgiveness for our sins because we all do sin and come short of the glory of God. All I know is that I will ask God to give me Grace to hang on until his coming. No-one is perfect, but it is hard to fall if you're on your knees. If I believed once saved always saved then I could just sit back and say no matter what me family does, praise God they are going to heaven. I can't believe that. I just can't. I have studied to the best of my abilities and to me I know the truth. I can not sit by and watch people on their way to hell and say nothing, because once saved always saved? I am not trying to be difficult or prideful or a know-it-all. I just want my family saved. Not saved in their way of thinking but really saved. You having a family should understand that whether you agree with it or not. I think that we can agree God is God and our desire is to be with him one day. And if that is your goal and that is my goal then we are on the same side despite our differences. Have a good night - winningside |

Hi Brad, Heb 5:9 - eternal salvation unto all them that OBEY him. Mark 13:12-13 He that shall endure UNTO THE END, John 5:38-42, Search the scriptures: for in them ye think ye have eternal life. Rom 6:1 shall we continue in grace that sin may abound? Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him, Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord, 2 peter 4 for if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment etc etc.

Hi Brad, It's funny to say that you think I have spirital pride. Not being smart, but no-one has ever said that to me before. If you knew who you were talking too, then you certainly would not be saying I am a person of spiritual pride, you would probably think that I need spiritual help, But none-the-less, I know many people who I love that live like there's no tomorrow and believe because they were saved when they were kids then they are going to heaven, no matter, how much they swear, drink, do drugs, adultery etc etc. This is why this is such a senitive subject to me. It hurts me very badly for them to live that way and think life is grand. You have your beliefs, but I know what I believe in my heart and I know the prayers that I have for my family, so good luck to you. winningside.

You know what, You can talk all night long and I will not agree with you on this and you will not agree with me. I can say what about this verse then you will say but what about that verse and we can continue with that and get nowhere, because I do not think either of us will change our mind and I really do not want to argue. The bible speaks for itself.
