Thanks again doc, will look next at those charts. But, just because the dispesational theology is relatively young, that is no reason to discount it, is it? The geographic reference should not limit its validity either, should it? Is not America blessed by God? I understand that to be fascinated by prophetical issues could be unhealthy, but -is it unhealthy to study the Book of Revelation, since it is the Only Book to come with its own divine blessing? Did not God disclose these things through John to be revealed to His servants for them to be used by Christ in extending and advancing His cause among men? I understand the matter is not a simple one, which is why I continue to study. Thanks for your help. keliy |

Good verses, Doc Thanks for the support! I recognize Beja as a spiritual man, and a faithful supporter of the SBF. But how can anyone miss the things that are told in Revelation, such as what happens before the 1000 yrs? First what must happen is there needs be an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the abyss and having a great chain. Then satan is bound for 1000 yrs. and those who had part in the first resurrection will be reigning with Christ for 1000 yrs. This is my reasoning for believing the 1000 yrs have not begun yet. Is it possible to be misled in the chronology? |

44 | How do I tell if she is Christian? | Not Specified | keliy | 221302
I have a girlfriend who says she is a Christian. I told her when we first met that I could not date her because she was not a christian. But, since she was 'after me', she retorted, "How do You know that I am not a christian? I was raised as a Baptist" So I thought I would give her a chance. We began to date, and now it has been two years. She has helped me much and I likewise, so we mainly get along good, but she does not act like a christian, such as she does not go to church with me as often as she should but has worldly excuses and complains about the sevice (during the service) when we go do to church together. (this can be embarrassing) She will not discuss much biblical issues with me either. I say she is going to church for the wrong reasons, and am about to break off with her. But I think that I would be doing more harm to God's Kingdom by not bringing her to church when able. My other thoughts are that the enemy is trying to keep me away from church and using her to do it. I have in fact missed more days since we have been together because of issues that surround her. She does seem to be growing spiritually, (albeit slightly) but sometimes she shows that there has been no progress made at all. Am I wrong for thinking this way? |

Hi meta, I don't want to come across as gruff, but when you said: "Christ and His Church sounds good to me" -in reference to the new temple, I believe: That is a misleading statement that will lead to misleading doctrines. Because, if we are THE temple, then what seat does the antichrist sit in and claim to be God? I know that Scripture teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, but is that not saying that there are many temples besides the one spoken of? Don't get me wrong, I understand, and sympathize w/you. You said you have more questions than answers. And that is good. We all do that. Or, at least we should, because it has been said that the only barrier to the truth is to think we already know it. To challenge the word millenium because of the fact that it does not appear in Scripture is a weak argument. Sorry, but the word trinity does not appear there either, do you believe in the Trinity? -nor does Missionary, Rapture and Bema Seat. Yet they exist. Apostle Paul instructs us to: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2Tim 2:15) It is my belief that this is where amillenialists fall short. By not studying and learning the correct meaning of passages, we can come up with as many interpretations as we have Bibles. Do you understand, meta? I also posted to beja, for clarification on his term, so please, remain in touch. I would like to continue this discussion, because we are all here to learn, and you pose some interesting avenues (o: keliy |

Hi Meta and Watchman, could you be thinking of Daniel 9:27? -not exactly the millenium, however it does suggest sacrifice has been resumed in the Temple. As to Daniel Zewditu, maybe the Jews law in question is referring to the "Mosaic Law" ? |

53 | Duties of an Employer | Col 4:1 | keliy | 221171
Good Morning, beenydu Basically the gist of verses is the same. I have two verses in my 'list' at the bottom, but what they say is that as a slave should be obedient to the master, so shall the master be obedient to the Lord, who is the Master of masters. Treat them fairly, and without partiality, and do not mistreat them. To help with the answering, can I ask if you are an employer? Blessings to you as you seek Him, keliy Col 4:1 MASTERS, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. Eph 6:9 And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him. |

Sorry for the delay in responding, breaddown, I have been checking, but there was no notification of any reply to this post. However I was getting other notifications. Now I notice that the thread has been restricted from appearing on the homepage. I have no idea why they do that. Maybe you can email me to timaeus@ChristFocus.com for any response you might have. Yes you are correct, RCA is reformed Church of America. Interesting thought, but I do not know why the word "reformed" is in the title either. It is claimed to be one of the oldest churches in USA so that may be a clue. They have a strong Dutch influence, and the history is among the pilgrims and such. But I mostly go there to please my dad, because actually there still is a little influence of the Catholic Church in the service, such as they practice infant baptism. Oh well, no church is perfect, so I decided not to let it be a devisive issue. After going to Calvary Chapel I began going back to RCA w/ my dad after they got a new pastor, I wanted to see the 'new guy'. That is all I can do for now, I don't know if you will even get this. I guess I'll watch my email for you. charis, keliy / timaeus |

Hi Nunya, Well, let me see. God used Abraham to be the father of many nations, per the eternal covenant promised by God to him, and so is the father of those in every nation that by faith enter into covenant with God. David's name means beloved, for he was a type of the beloved Son. Elijah foretold a famine, a long and grievous famine, with which Israel should be punished for their sins. The prophet’s name: Elijahu means, "My God is Jehovah" and signifies, "is he who sends me and will own me and bear me out, is he to whom I would bring Israel back and who alone can effect that great work.’’ the call of Elisha was an unexpected call to be a prophet Paul was called by God to be an apostle, and go out to preach the good news about Christ to the Gentiles. Having given the long answer, allow me to say that there are good reasons and bad ones to ask questions on this Forum. The good ones will edify and encourage the ones who are true followers of Christ. The bad ones waste a lot of people's time. And there is a percentage of those here as well. Now allow me to give the short answer, nunya business. hahahahah Sorry, I could not resist that one (((o: keliy |

Hi watchman. I received the reply that I presume was meant for BradK, but it was under a note authored by Brad Meyers. I make the same mistake from time to time, when I don't pay attention to the line in the thread "branch" that is highlighted in yellow. It is that author that will be notified of your reply I am thankful that we (mostly) are all Christians here, and therefore (mostly) understanding, and forgiving, as we exercise the fruit of the Spirit. (o: remember, the fruit does not fall far from the tree. Grace and Peace, keliy |

58 | dead sea scrolls and the return of Chris | OT general | keliy | 221157
The manuscripts generally date between 150 BC to 70 AD, so therefore are of great religious and historical significance. Being identified as around 40 percent biblical, 30 percent apocryphal and 30 percent Sectarian, they seem to have more historical significance than prophetical. By now I am curious to see what your own answer to this question will be. |

God used Ester to prevent the extermination of the Jews, and her help averted what would have been the first holocaust "Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people." 60 | WHO WAS ENOCH | Heb 11:5 | keliy | 221141
Enoch was a son of Cain: And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. (Gen 4:17) (Enoch was also a city) Enoch was a son of Jared: And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch (Gen 5:18) Enoch was the father of Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters. Enoch went to heaven without dying: By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (Heb 11:5) Enoch was a prophet: And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints (Jud 1:14) As you can see, there are actually two Enochs mentioned in Genesis. While they may be of the same name, they were definitely not of the same character. Good men and bad men may receive the same names, but God justly distinguishes between the likes of Judas Iscariot and Judas not Iscariot (John 14:22) |
