Hi Doc. If that was the case then wouldn't it be translated that way by the KJV scholars that translated the KJV? It would seem the word is only saying that she bare again, not that she conceived again. |

42 | Obedience in Love? | Lev 19:18 | jeremiah1five | 241683
Obedience in Love? Are we doing it right? Here is the original command: Leviticus 19:17-18 (KJV) 17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. 18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. Leviticus, the book of Holiness and Righteousness of God. God gives His Holy Word to a Holy and peculiar people. He doesn't give His Holy Word to dogs (unbelievers/non-Covenant.) The original command of God is for the children of Israel to love the children of Israel. The language clearly states "Thou shalt not hate thy brother (member of the same tribe) in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour (member of another tribe), and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people (member of any tribe), but thou shalt love thy neighbour (member of one of the other eleven tribes) as thyself: I am the LORD. God even commanded the children of Israel to "not mingle with the heathens nor learn their ways," but they didn't obey. When Christ came He was sent to Israel. He was the fulfillment of many Prophecies and Promises God gave to Israel, and when He arrived He upheld the original command of God given in Leviticus 19:18. Christ did not change the Law. He established it. And yet I see and read everywhere Christians take in the heresy that we are supposed to love everyone, that Christ came and changed the Law by His words in Matthew, and we are to love everyone especially when God doesn't love everyone. Are you one that loves the world (worldly people) and the things of the world (things in creation)? |

43 | Obedience in Love? | Lev 19:18 | jeremiah1five | 241702
So, you are saying that Christ changed the Law in Leviticus 19:18 to include the unsaved. We are to love those not in Covenant with God? That is to contradict the original command of God and to teach Jesus changed the Law.
44 | Obedience in Love? | Lev 19:18 | jeremiah1five | 241712
There are many things the Word does not say implicitly that are and have become doctrine for the Church. An example is the Doctrine of the Trinity. It doesn't say in Scripture God is a Trinity but it does imply it through the comparison of Scripture and reason (Isa. 1:18). If God hates His enemies (the world - which means non-Covenant individuals) will you commit treason to your King and love that which God hates? 1 John 2:15 is a perfect example. God doesn't love the non-Covenant world, those to whom in His perfect wisdom and knowledge did not choose from the foundation of the world, and He directly commands His people to not love the world (non-Covenant people) as He commanded Israel to not mingle with the nations (goyim) nor to learn THEIR WAYS. A true believer does not contradict God nor oppose Him in any of His revealed Word. I suppose you also believe God loves everyone the same as He does His Church? If you say yes, God does loves everyone, Covenant and non-Covenant alike, then the question now is who are these people Christ is destroying at His second coming when He comes in God's wrath and righteousness and warring against the wicked? Is He destroying those He loves? That is NOT the love of God as Scripture declares it. God hates both sin and sinner if that sinner is not Elect of God and whose name is not in the book of life of the lamb slain from (BEFORE) the foundation (creation) of the world. Consider not loving that which God hates, nor hating that which God loves. To do so is to oppose God. |

45 | Obedience in Love? | Lev 19:18 | jeremiah1five | 241721
I did not say we are to treat them with hate, only that we should be obedient and not treat them with love. God's love is Holy. The command is to not give that which is holy to dogs (non-Covenant.) The command is for brethren to love brethren. God doesn't give His Holy Love to non-Covenant. Not even God casts His Pearl, Jesus Christ, to swine. Neither should we. God hates the unatoned sinner. It is this people that Christ comes to destroy. And He is successful, too. Thank God. If you want to continue to love that which God hates that's on you. But for thousands of years God did not send the high priest to the heathens to pray and offer sacrifices for them. Think of the millions that God did not save nor atone and then tell me God loves all people the same. There have always been two groups of people in the world: Covenant and non-Covenant. |

46 | Who or What Dictates Your Behavior? | Deut 6:6 | jeremiah1five | 241633
The following is a no-brainer....when Israel gathered before God at the Tabernacle with every tribe placed in encampments around the Tabernacle according to the will of God they all lived, ate, worked/not worked, recreated, behaved, etc., according to God's Law as given by God them through Moses. They did not gather and then all behaved as the heathen peoples' that surrounded them (and their surrounding them was at a great distance.) Whether one wants to agree or not but being at an online site for Christians I notice that there are many rules in place that supersede God's expressed command and Word that Christians must agree to abide before (mostly after) they join the site, and if for some reason run afoul of the rules of the Forum or site (most are written using secular modes or methods of behavior) they receive punitive measures against them, even banning, which I take as excommunication and for no real sin except to violate human or western free-world, even American modes of behavior. Some places have Moderators that interfere between brethren and dish out those punitive measures against brethren and short-circuit the Holy Spirit in His application of the Word of God upon His people. In other words, the ONLY Moderator in a born again believers life is the Word of God and the Holy Spirit who uses the Word in accordance to the expressed and established Will of God. When the children of Israel gathered before the Tabernacle were they compelled to abide and follow heathen behavioral norms, or did the have the Word of God that dictated their behavior towards brethren and towards God? Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (KJV) 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. |

I have made no accusation about Lockman, so please, do not create a problem by insinuating that I have. If you wish to address me personally and discuss any of my feelings rather than the facts and truth of the Word of God you can email me at my user name @gmail.com. Otherwise, taking guesses about my feelings towards Lockman when I have yet to declare myself I take as false witness.

To restrict a thread as you have done is to restrict the Holy Spirit in that person. This, too, is a characteristic of antichrist and antichristian behavior. There are no secrets in the body of Christ, no shadows, no hidden corners. Everything is to be in the light that others may judge (1 Cor. 11:18-19). You need to repent of this and stop muzzling the Holy Spirit.
51 | Who or What Dictates Your Behavior? | Deut 6:6 | jeremiah1five | 241754
Truthfully, I did not expect you to be accountable to the Lord and address your offense, confession of this offense of false accusation, and ultimately repent (not do again). There is something wrong with your spirit that reveals a deeper spiritual problem in you. I actually recognize the spirit (1 Jn. 4:1). |

52 | Pastors have Evil thoughts? | Amos 1:1 | jeremiah1five | 241493
Men, both saved/born again and unsaved do have "evil" thoughts. Pastors are not excluded. Paul has answer to being a Christian and saved and still living in this world while we await our death or the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 7:14-24 (KJV) 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? And: Romans 8:6-7 (KJV) 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. And: Galatians 5:17 (KJV) 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. |

53 | The Gospel According to Self | Zech 1:4 | jeremiah1five | 241567
This is true as I have witnessed many so-called Christians who hold to one (and other) passages of Scripture over another (and other) "contradictory" passages of Scripture that say an "opposite." I have heard from unbelievers that the Bible contradicts itself. However, it is my present belief that there are no contradictions in Scripture, and that a disciple that comes across these seeming contradictions should not teach one and discount or omit another for the simple reason that they have not yet learned to resolve such "tensions" and should not teach or preach one over the other (as Augustine implies) until they have resolved these "differences." I believe the context has much to do with handling these "contradictions" and that the disciple MUST come to the knowledge of the truth before opening their mouths (or keyboard) and say anything at all until then, but wait on the Holy Spirit to help them understand what they read. |

54 | Question about meaning of turning cheek | Matt 5:39 | jeremiah1five | 241623
QUOTE: "The 'eye for eye' philosphy would be to strike them back and avenge one's self of this affront. But, Jesus said to turn to him the other check as well and endure the insult again." RESPONSE: If this is what you say Jesus is teaching, then Jesus would be teaching amiss and teaching a change in the Law (of Retribution.) Any change in the Law would "destroy" the Law, and if this is the interpretation then the religious leaders would have this to accuse Jesus of (changing, or teaching a change in the Law), but there is no accusation in the Scripture that the "Jews" understood this as a change. What I believe is that Jesus is upholding the Law (of Retribution) of eye for eye and strike for strike. Jesus can't be changing the Law for any change in the Law would "destroy" the Law and this is tantamount to Jesus "destroying" Himself for the Law prophesied most about Israel's Kinsman-Redeemer. |

55 | Does God cause people to get arrested ? | Matt 24:9 | jeremiah1five | 241690
It may not say it explicitly, but it is implied that believers will find some of their persecution and up-bringing to be God's specific will for them to be arrested, charged with a crime (whether true or not - there are things we do not see it the spirit-realm) that to others seem to be "well, if he's arrested he must have done the crime, but one must see as God sees and not as man sees. God uses everything in creation to grow his kid(s). Even direct confrontation with human laws (which are a copy of God's Laws.) God is in control of everything, even a sparrow that falls to the ground and dies. Sometimes we don't see it, but God is there.
56 | Does God cause people to get arrested ? | Matt 24:9 | jeremiah1five | 241703
Are there no innocent people in jail or prison? Are you of the "heart" that believes anyone arrested and accused of a crime, even if convicted of a crime and in prison, that if they are in prison they must be guilty?
57 | Does God cause people to get arrested ? | Matt 24:9 | jeremiah1five | 241713
No, it does mean including miscarriages of justice. Jesus is a perfect example. If God created the world and the people in it and it is "tainted" (actually, immersed is a better word) in sin, then God willed all that proceeds from that act, miscarriages and all. You cannot believe in a Sovereign God and the make excuses for things that occur that do not fit your understanding of God's righteousness and will. God is not looking the other way when one is falsely accused, arrested, prosecuted and convicted, especially if it is one of His own kids. He is directly and intimately involved. He even willed and orchestrated a thief receiving capital punishment on a cross. When is the last time that in the United States we execute a thief? But if God had not orchestrated these lives according to His will the thief on the cross would not hand with Jesus and not been promised paradise. |

59 | Ways of repentance | Matt 27:3 | jeremiah1five | 241692
Repentance is not "saying sorry," but is a change of mind, and a change of mind means there will be a change of behavior. In other terms repentance means to "change one's mind." In the case of Judas Iscariot he bargained to help the religious leaders find and arrest Jesus. Then, when he saw that Jesus was condemned to die he changed his mind and brought forth fruits for repentance. He tried to do the opposite of what he originally planned to do, in other words, he tried to bring back the money and buy back the life of Jesus. This is repentance. His mind was changed and this led to a behavioral change as well (Matt. 27:3-5). He was obedient to God's Law. And what should have happened was that the priests should have taken him "out back" and stoned him for being complicit in the death of an innocent man. Instead, they told him "See to it yourself!" which in other words is "You handle it!" He did. He hung himself in obedience to the Law of God requiring life for life. |
