I would like to answer. If you notice in the two examples given in this verse isaiah 45:7, the things that God created, have inverses. If God creates Light, darkness is also created. If He creates peace/good, the inverse is also created. It is the nature of existence. If we are truly creatures of free will, then we must have the option to do right, or not to. The inverses must exist. I hope this will help. Child |

Brother I hear what you are saying but not only are we to be "wise as serpents", we are to be "GENTLE as doves" most importantly. I urge you to be gentle in your speech, your intent may not be to offend but, from experience, intentions don't matter to the observer. I could for example say" I like you" to a girl and she might take that to mean I love her when my intent was simply stating friendship. Make your mode of speech, words used, and intent a unified communication. It makes a big difference when you are trying to witness to someone especially. And you are right Jesus does love you but you cant simply state that and not listen to correction. My parents love me but that certainly didn't spare me correction as a young child(ouch). I love ya bro God bless Child'88 |

45 | The 6th commandment | Not Specified | ChildofGod1988 | 201130
I have always understood the 6th commandment "thou shall not kill" to mean murder. What is the Greek and Hebrew word used here? Does this word mean specifically murder or taking of life in general?? Thank you for your time

On a side note, please apply this principle to not only biblical doctrine, but to scientific evidence/arguments from both creationist and evolutionist. An example of why we should guard our selves is the "Lost Day" story that has been used to support the validity of the Bible. It is false and the Bible doesn't need to be supported/defended by false doctrines or evidence. It has drawn many well meaning Christians into this lie and it reflects poorly on us and the bible. I urge you to visit apologeticspress.org The Lord is my strong tower. God bless :D |

Hello folks. I was wandering if anyone could help me with a problem. I cannot find in the NT where a church is admonished for its steadfastness in scripture. They are specifically praised for their double checking of doctrines, with scripture. Can anybody tell me where this is found? :D God bless all, He is risen amen!!!! |

51 | An interesting look at John 3:5 | Bible general Archive 4 | ChildofGod1988 | 200790
Thank you, I really appreciate the astute answer. I believe my friends way of "looking at it" was alluding to this verse as saying water baptism is required to be saved. I used the analogy of an inmate on death row accepting Christ and then being executed. That inmate wont have a chance to be water baptized but he fulfilled all that is required to obtain salvation. Which is to accept Christ as Lord and Savior. My friend still went back to this verse and seemed confused by the seeming contradiction. I was, I admit somewhat unable to answer his question. Thank you for the explanation of the meaning of water. Very insightful!!! God bless for he reigns Amen!!! |

52 | An interesting look at John 3:5 | Not Specified | ChildofGod1988 | 200785
I have a interesting verse/interpretation problem that has been given to me. I would like to get some perspective on this. It pertains to John 3:5 when Jesus says " Unless one is born of water and spirit he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." A friend had an interesting, and to be honest alarming, way of looking at this. He almost seemed to imply that it was contradictory with the rest of the chapter and what we read elsewhere about salvation. Because I feel that Jesus was referring to a Physical(water) birth and then a Spiritual rebirth, I assumed it was misinterpretation of an example of Jesus use of parables and metaphor to describe something in lay mens terms. What do you guys think. Oh and this is hopefully to be the first of MANY posting on this forum. God Bless for He reigns Amen. |
