42 | first fruits and the elect | Rev 7:4 | azurelaw | 236591
Dear Brother Doc, I owe you my note of conference on Revelation presented remarkably by a local theologian Dr Simon Chau. In respond to your quote from Rev.K DeYoung, Dr. Chau presented pretty much the same idea on the number of 144,000. Revelations is full of symbolic language (and so much tied with the OT) which targeted to the intended readers (the 1st century Christians)and they (unlike us - those modern people) would not have the problem to understand what John was talking. Dr. Chau said that if we have not read the OT or any idea of the OT, there is no way that we could understand Revelation properly. We also have to put our foot into the intended readers' shoes. Sadly that nowadays, OT is so much neglected on the pulpit that many Christians lack the proper understanding of the Bible as a whole. Shalom Azure |

47 | Need Bible verses on why man was created | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 236394
Dear Susan, Where in the bible does it say that God was lonely? Such a statement implies that God is lack of "something" which is not biblical. I think thenoel2 has given a fine answer to the question. Please avoid muddling the concept. Shalom Azure |

48 | Why did God reject Cain's offering | Gen 4:5 | azurelaw | 236292
Dear Susan, Thank you for your response. If your reasoning sounds (i.e. God rejected Cain's offering because it was the produce from cursed ground), how would you understand Leviticus chapter 2 concerning God's law on grain offering? If you reasoning correct, God should have forbidden Israelite to make any offering from the ground. Shalom Azure |

49 | Why did God reject Cain's offering | Gen 4:5 | azurelaw | 236288
Dear Susan, I am afraid that the Bible did not mention specifically this (your answer) is the reason. From the context of scripture, the failure seems not about what was sacrificed but more on Cain's heart. Shalom Azure |

50 | baptism | Gen 2:21 | azurelaw | 236236
Dear escar, If I read you correctly, you said "Who's image God and the angels we were made in their likeness..." for your interpretation of Gen 1:26, do you mean that man was made in the image of God and angels? If so, please explain where in the bible said that man was made in the image of God and the angels? Shalom Azure |

51 | baptism | Gen 2:21 | azurelaw | 236210
Dear Susan, Since then as you have rightly put that she was CREATED, and as is in Gen 1:27 recording "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.", and as is in Gen 2:24-25 that Eve was regarded as the wife of Adam, it could not be said that Eve was also Adam's daughter. Shalom Azure |

52 | baptism | Gen 2:21 | azurelaw | 236204
Dear Susan, How would you come to the conclusion that Eve was also Adam's daughter? Could you please explain? Thank you. Shalom Azure |

Dear Fmp, Thank you for your response. After reading some of your posts, they puzzled me a lot and I would hope you may clarify my below questions. I also hope that you may retrieve the relevant post in order to avoid any possible misunderstanding:- 1/ From your post 235909, it appears that you don't like to be labelled. However, I would like to ask would you be offended if I call you a Christian? "Christians" was a label given to the disciples in the 1st century (Acts 11:26). On the other hand, why do you then label other forum members as non-christian with the statement "as far as i can determine I am the only Christian on this Forum". (Though you did not specifically said so, but the statement does bear such implication) Do you think you are not acting according to your own belief? I don't think labelling is a problem as long as it rightly describe and define the subject. I am a woman. You are free to label me "woman" for it is a correct label. You may also label me "Chinese woman" for I truly am a Chinese. However, if we meet face to face and I did not make myself clear and you label me "Japanese woman" it only reveals that you don't know me, but I don't feel offended for your ignorance for I understand that Chinese and Japanese have a lot of similarity in the appearance. Therefore, I would politely correct your wrong perception on me. But I certainly will not complain that you are labelling me! 2/ In your post 235909 you said: "I used wikipedia for the difinition of theology simply because it is non-basis unlike the web site you quote..." I think you mean "non-bias" instead of non-basis. Let me remind you, when something is "non-bias" does not necessarily mean it is correct. By the way, if you go to the home page of wikipedia, it says that ANYONE CAN EDIT the "encyclopedia", in that case, how can one be sure if the information is correct or non-bias? The unknown editor holds no liability to it. If anything I said proves to be my misunderstanding, I sincerely hope that you may correct me. Lastly, if you truly believe and determine that you are the only Christian on the Forum, you may feel awfully frustrated for no one meets your mind nor in accord with your belief, i.e. no fellowship will be expected here. In that case, what is your purpose of posting here? Shalom Azure |

58 | How do you feel about the Ten Commandmen | Ephesians | azurelaw | 235694
Dear fmp6954, You say: "#6 I am not obligated to obey the Ten Commandments which have been abolished. TRUE!" Do you mean that as Christians, we may live a lawless life since it is (a) abolished and (b) fulfilled by Jesus? Would you elaborate more? Thank you. Azure |
