42 | scriptual suport for Ezekiel 14:14 | Ezek 14:1 | teragram123 | 55293
read the context of the verse... 14:13-23 God’s people are expected to be righteous... all unrighteousness will be cut off... all that refuse the truth of the Gospel... God has not changed. He dealt with man differently in the OT... but the sin HE hates has not changed... all unrighteousness will be punished. To say we are saved by grace places us under great Responsibility to do what our LORD desires... at all cost. Those that say they are Christians and walk in darkness and sin are deceived and even God is their enemy... 2 Thes. 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. [13] But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Sin is a mock of Christianity... Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Some say well God sees my heart... Amen to that... and a righteous heart shows forth in a righteous life... Proverbs 20:11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. Peter preached righteousness to be accepted by God and not merely saying by grace am I saved... Acts 10:34-35 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: [35] But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. Paul told the church to “cut off” sinning saints not say they are merely saved by grace... 1 Cor. 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. Our lives are to reflect Christ to the world... Col. 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. True believer do the word... not only hear it... James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. The fool hears the pure gospel but does not live pure lives... Matthew 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: The only ones to be blessed are the doers of the word... Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. The Pharisees were hypocrites not doing righteousness... merely trusting grace alone to save them... Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. James clearly tells us that Grace without a righteous life is worthless... James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.... 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? The righteous will do the deeds of righteousness, not merely fulfill their flesh and say they have faith in grace... Matthew 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? Grace manifests in a life that has truely been effected by GRACE... Grace reigns through righteousness! Sin brings death... Grace brings a righteous life with a reward of eternal life... Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. If Christ and His HOLY Spirit truly dwells within our heart... it will show in our lives... Philip. 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Grace shows it's self in a born again life thru righteousness... sin is a reproach to a nation, church or a believer. Grace endues with power to do God's will and deny my own will. Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. GRACE - charis Greek 5463 the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; |

43 | Guilty of blood of others? | Acts 20:26 | teragram123 | 55079
To ReformerJoe It would seem evident the church is given a commission... not a suggestion or option.. Proverbs 3:27-28 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. [28] Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. [18] When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. [19] Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. [20] Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ezekiel 33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: Ezekiel 33:3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; [4] Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. [5] He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. Ezekiel 33:6-7 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. [7] So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. The failure of the church in this regard has brought us the conditions of today. I do not believe that the church of Paul's day would have been taking time to answer questions like... "can I smoke Pot and be a Christian?" O how there needs to be time in the Lord’s presence for Him to give revelation to HIS will and not the desire of our own hearts. Philip. 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. |

44 | DIVORCED,REMARRIED DEACON | Titus 1:6 | teragram123 | 55075
To David1959 - The Church is to be the manifestation of Christ to the lost World... a light shining out into darkness. When that light is dark... how great is that darkness. To serve a deacon is to be an example set forth to all that follow. Paul did not stipulate as to the reason for the divorce... only that a deacon be the husband of one wife. Liberal views water this down to say... one at a time. However... Christ was not referring to one at a time when He rebuked the Pharisees. Matthew 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Christ was clearly speaking about one man one women... till death parted them. Paul referred to the same principle in - Romans 7:2-3 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. [3] So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. 1 Cor. 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. We are to be concerned with how the church is manifested to the Lost world... not about our own desires and positions... would it not be far better for one to serve as a door keeper in the house of the Lord rather than to cause confusion or distain to come upon the Church? To excuse ourselves by saying... it happened before I was saved. O the weight upon parents to train children up in the way they ought to go. Sin leaves scars and consequences. This “disqualification” from being an elder/deacon... is only one of those consequences. Grace forgives and cleanses but does not restore to the original state... ask the redeemed prostitute. Is this not the very reason that the women is symbolic of the Church! |

the link between the preaching of the gospel and the sealing of Gods people? Ezekiel 9:4-6 And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. [5] And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: [6] Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. Those marked (sealed) by God are those that hungar and thirst after righteousness |

50 | raising the dead- no possible today?? | Matt 16:24 | teragram123 | 54828
God has not changed. His promises are still for us. The problem lies within the believers. We in USA have been fed a diet of prosperity and an easy cross, live anyway you want and have Heaven too... USA is under a deceptive gospel. The book of Acts portrays a far differant gospel than what the USA church is believing. 2 Tim. 3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Many miracles are indeed taking place in other countries even the dead being raised! here is a good teaching site...http://www.watchman.ca/ |

51 | What makes Christianity different | John 14:6 | teragram123 | 54825
I knew God ... being raised Catholic... but I never knew Him in a way of a relationship... like a best friend. When I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and trusted Him in that by discontinuing to go to the confessional... a divine event took place in my life. The date of my new birth was March 23 1976. Christ became a personal friend, redeemer and Lord. His Word became my constant companion. I knew about Him before my conversion... but I know Him and know that He knows me now. I went from a religion to a relationship... most people have some sort of religion but that does not gain us our entrance into Heaven I could not truely know God the Father without knowing Christ His son for He is the only avenue to knowing the Father. John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 2 Cor. 10:18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. Now I know He knows me ... we speak daily! Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Knowing about God is not what it is about... but knowing Him and that can only be acchieved thru Christ alone... Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. We can not know God the Father if we do not know His son 1 John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. |

Ages and Dispensations Age—Revolution of Time: 1.Age defined - means any period of time whether long or short; time; season. In this sense there are numberless ages 2.Past ages 3.Present age 4.Future ages 5.Creative ages 6.Five main ages in time: (1)The antechaotic age—from the original creation to chaos during which time Lucifer ruled the earth in perfection, before he fell and caused the earth to be flooded (This age took in all the period of the dateless past, the original creations, Lucifer's reign in perfection (Eze 28:15), the period of rebellion by Lucifer and pre-Adamites, the war between heaven and earth which culminated in Lucifer's defeat (Isa 14:12-14; and the chaotic period on earth after Lucifer's defeat (Gen 1:2; Jer 4:23-26; 2 Pe 3:5-7). These periods were of unknown length, and could be called the Eternal Past. (2) The antediluvian age—from the beginning of the six days of restoration of the heavens and earth to a second habitable state (Genesis 1:3-2:25) to the flood of Noah's time; or, from the flood of Lucifer (Genesis 1:2) to the flood of Noah (Gen 6:8-8:14). This age included the dispensations of Innocence and Conscience—1,656 years (Gen 5). (3) The present or postdiluvian age—from the flood of Noah (Gen 6:8-8:14) to the Millennium (Rev. 19:11-20:7). This age takes in four dispensations: Human Government, Promise, Law, and Grace—already over 4,545 years by A.D. 2000. (4)The age to come—from the second coming of Christ to the New Heavens and New Earth This age will last 1,000 years (5)The age of the ages—from the end of the Millennium (Rev. 20:4-10) into all eternity when God will move His capital city from the planet Heaven to the planet Earth to reign forever This could be called the Eternal Future. Dispensation—A Moral Time: 1.Dispensation defined. The word itself is not in the Old Testament, but is used four times in the New Testament This does not mean that there were no dispensations in the Old Testament program any more than it means there was no devil in Old Testament times simply because the word "devil" is not used in the Old Testament. The Greek word means an administration, stewardship, dispensation, or guardianship. It refers to a moral or probationary period in angelic or human history during which God dealt with angels or human beings according to a particular test or responsibility, under which each was to remain true to his trust of administering affairs for God under His direction. 2. Nine Features of Each Dispensation: (1)Definition or name (2)Length of time (3)A favorable beginning (4)Test for responsible agents (5)The purpose of God in each one (6)The means of God in accomplishing His purpose (7)The failure of responsible agents (8)Judgment of God upon responsible agents (9)God's provision of reconciliation for fallen agents When these nine points regarding each age or dispensation are understood, then God's plan for man as a whole becomes clear. Each dispensation has its own particular beginning and ending; each is characterized by distinctive principles of God's dealings; each has a favorable beginning; each has a definite test; and each ends in failure and judgment, except the final and eternal one. Nothing but confusion can arise from reading certain meanings into Scripture that do not apply to a particular age. In each dispensation, God has a definite and different immediate purpose, all working toward the ultimate purpose of ridding the universe of all rebellion so that all free moral agents will be willingly and eternally subject to God, Christ, and the Holy Ghost, as originally planned, with God all in all forever Some part of one age may apply to another, but forcing the purposes of God to be the same in every age distorts Scripture and confuses the understanding. Study the history of each period carefully, and the prophecies given in each that predict a definite change in God's dealings or plan to the ultimate end. Harmonize all passages with the whole plan of God revealed in Scripture. Then one can see from God's perspective His purposes and plans for free moral agents who prove worthy of eternal trust 3. The Bible Divided Dispensationally: (1)The original creations (Gen 1:1) (2)The chaotic earth (Gen 1:2) (3)The restoration of earth (Gen 1:3-2:14) (4)The dispensation of innocence (Gen 2:15-3:21) (5)The dispensation of conscience (Gen 3:22-8:14) (6)The dispensation of human government (Gen 8:15-11:32) (7)The dispensation of promise (Gen 12:1-Exo 12:37) (8)The dispensation of law (Exo 12:38-Mat 2:23) (9)The dispensation of grace (Mat 3:1-Rev. 19:10) (10)The dispensation of divine government, or the millennium (Rev. 19:11-20:15) (11)The dispensation of faithful angels and the redeemed—the new heavens and new earth, the eternal perfect state (Rev. 21:1-22:5). There is a book written on this subject... "Bible Code" ... I don't remember the author. But it goes into much detail explaining the code of the Bible... but clearly reminds us to not look to these codes nor use them in any way for guidance, but simply to remind ourselves of the omnipotence of God! Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. --- teragram123
