41 | Temptation - Physical or in thought? | Matt 4:5 | TheCurtMan | 94275
Due to the temptations that Jesus suffered, I find it hard to believe that it was only in His mind. I believe that being hungry is more physical than mental. According to Hebrews 4:15, Jesus was tempted in all things as we are tempted in all things. Our temptation is physical as well as in thought, therefore the temptations of Jesus would have had to be physical as well. As far as the transportation of Jesus to these high places, one would only be making assumptions because scripture do not say 'how' he was transported, only that the devil took him. However; Jesus was there expressly for the purpose to be tempted v.1, so I guess it would be fair to say that He ALLOWED the adversary to lead Him. The CurtMan |

42 | Why was Cain's offering unacceptable? | Gen 4:3 | TheCurtMan | 93862
I’m under the impression that most fruits are grown in trees and not on the ground. When I read this, I get the impression that Cain picked up a piece of fruit off the ground and gave it to God. No consideration in his gift what so ever. Rather Cain picked up the fruit off the ground or not, I still believe that he wasn’t to considerate of his gift to God, I do not believe that his attitude was right. Where is the sacrifice in a piece of fruit?? Able on the other hand gave the firstfruit of his flock with the right attitude. Now THERE is a sacrifice that meets Godly Standards. I really do not think that the bible stipulates why God rejected Cains gift. Fact of the matter is He did. And the writer of Hebrews, how does he know?? “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” II Tim. 3:16 The CurtMan |

43 | Why did Eve orginally leave the garden? | Gen 3:1 | TheCurtMan | 93858
According to Genesis 2:9, there where two trees in the midst of the garden. The Tree of Life, and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. The conversation that Eve had with the serpent most likely took place in the midst of the garden. In verse 6 of chp. 3 Eve took of the fruit and ate it. The reason that I believe that they were kicked out of the garden is because they started a sinful chain reaction that can be seen in today’s society. Had they remained in the garden, V.22 says that they might have also stretched out their hands and eaten from the Tree of Life. Which means that they might still be living today to see the magnitude of the damage they’ve caused. Being kicked out of the garden was a blessing to them rather they knew it or not. So what do you think?? The CurtMan |

44 | Given the chance to repent | Num 4:15 | TheCurtMan | 93593
You're right, I did miss the question. Sorry. Was Uzzah given the chance to repent? No. It is obvious from the text that after his mistake, and before his death, there was no time for repentance. And like Aixen7z4, I also believe that there is no repentance after death. As far as your question regarding 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness", not all sins bring forth immediate consequences-Jonah chp. 3 for example. |

45 | Did Uzzah has given chance to repent | Num 4:15 | TheCurtMan | 93427
According to verse 8 of II Sam. 6, David felt the same way you did. Uzzah’s intentions may have been good, but his actions were bad. Actually it was a sin, an ungodly action. According Numbers 4:5-15, God had specific instruction about the moving of the Ark. It was suppose to have been done by the Levites, who were to carry it using the carrying poles. They were NEVER to touch the ark itself. To touch it was a capital offense under the Hebrew law, punishable by death. “When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is to set out, after that the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them, so that they will not TOUCH THE HOLY OBJECTS AND DIE…” Numbers 4:15 NASB. Now rather Uzzah was a Levite or not I’m not 100 percent sure, but personally I doubt it. According to verses 9-11 in II Sam. 6, Divid left the ark at the house of Obed-edom. But look at what David said when he went back to get the ark in II Chronicles 15:2, “No one is to carry the ark of God but the Levites…” Uzzah’s intentions may have been good, but the law was already in place before his mistake, and a costly mistake it was, but David learned a very valuable lesson from it; Do it God’s way or suffer the consequences. Hope this answer your question. Any others?? The CurtMan |

46 | Has the enemy caused confusion? | Col 1:16 | TheCurtMan | 92422
Oh, I forgot my two cents worth on the answer of your question. I think that the different translation of scripture is necessary, that is as long as the translation is in accordance with the original text. Different people are on different spiritual levels. Different translations tends to reach those levels. I've personally encountered many people who claim that they do no read the bible because they can not understand it. Upon further investigation, I found out that they were reading the King James Version. I put either a NASB; NIV; or an Amplified Version in their hands and I found out that a very small percentage who wasn't reading the bible is now. The other overall majority was just using it as an excuse. But still, some is better then none. So I would say that different translations really are a necessity. I don't think that it is the different translations that are the author of confussion, I think that man allows the adversary to come in and cause confusion. If you ever get around to seeing Adam, ask him. I think that he can verify that one for me. The CurtMan |

48 | Denominations is shameful? | 1 Cor 3:4 | TheCurtMan | 92327
I mean no harm and disrespect, but would having the correct interpretation of this verse really be the solution that you're looking for?? Fact is, you did find a different church, and your spouse isn't too happy about that. And to answer your question, I'd have to say, 'NO' the original meaning of this verse isn't referring to denominational christianity. I truely pray that you will find what you're looking for. 49 | Born into the Kingdom of God? | Luke 16:18 | TheCurtMan | 92320
How about a different figure of speech?? You say Born into the Kingdom, and it's no telling what you might get. You say Born again, then just about everyone is on the same page. Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people, like you said. Who are those prepared people? Try reading the 3rd chp. of John. the first 18 verses. Personally I believe it to be self explainitory, if not post your questions, and you will get an answer. The CurtMan |

50 | Does speaking in tongues come naturally? | Acts | TheCurtMan | 92272
Justme If I'm understanding your question correctly, I'd have to say speaking in tongues come naturally. That is according to the first twelve verses of Acts chp. 2, almost everyone started speaking in a tongue, or language that most of them probably never studied in their lives. They were all understanding one another. That's probably one of the reasons why the event was so amazing. If I'm understanding things correctly, tongues is a gift, not a talent. A gift is something that is given to you, like salvation. A talent is something you develop through practice, like singing and dancing. How would you feel if suddenly you could speak Greek or Hebrew, a language that you never studied a day in your life? Not only speak it, but speak it well? That is what I believe the gift of tongues is; the ability to suddenly speak in a language you've never practiced. I'm looking at your question, and I think what you're asking is COULD this person speak in tongues without being taught? The answer is YES, speaking in tongues is a gift given by the Holy Spirit, I Cor.12:1-3. The CurtMan |

51 | What is a "carnal" Christian? | 1 John 3:10 | TheCurtMan | 92102
RM2, Actually I think that you've answered my questions quite well. Thanks. I've heard many different answers to a Carnal Christian, and some of them run borderline to a complete joke, nothing that one could actually take seriously. I do have one other question. How do I go by locating a question or comment by the reference no? Such as 91913? I had to take the long way around and it was quite time consumming. |

52 | question # 1 | Gen 1:2 | TheCurtMan | 91697
Suppose I wanted to be difficult, and took the story of creation, Gen. 1:2 the words Void, and Darkness and said the color was black. Or v.6 the word Water, the color was blue, would you accept any of these answers?? I wouldn't, but I figured I'd try you anyway. The CurtMan |

53 | Is God's love unconditional ? | John 3:16 | TheCurtMan | 91535
Is God's love unconditional? YES IT IS. I think that John 3:16 is one of many verses that indicate this. According to John 3:16 what is the purpose of Jesus dying on the cross. I think that Salvation is conditional. It is for those who believe, but Jesus' death carried the sins of the entire world, both the saved and the unsaved. And He did this because He loves us unconditionally. Let me ask you this, how do you define Unconditional Love? What words would you use to discribe it?? |

54 | Was Paul single or married? | 1 Cor 7:8 | TheCurtMan | 91528
Paul was unmarried, that is for sure. As far as him being married at one time or another, The John MacArthur Study bible tends to point in that direction in the very next verse, I Cor 7:8. Could I also suggest that the possibility exsist that you could also be misunderstanding scripture?? If you're correct in Paul wishing that all men was to remain single, then what would be the purpose of the marriage; instituted by God before the fall of man. If what you're saying is right, then it appears that Paul has a problem with the way that God is running things. Could we both be wrong?? What do you think?? The CurtMan |

55 | deception | Matt 7:12 | TheCurtMan | 90580
I had a co-worker that consistently lied on me, to me, and about me. She got under my skin so bad, that all I wanted to do was to punch her dead in her face. A friend of mind who was a minister told me to pray for her three times a day. He suggested that the more that I pray for her, the less hatred I'd have for her. I had nothing to loose but my job for fighting, and my testimony for being a Christian, so I tried things his way. and IT WORKED. I became more concerned for her spiritual welfare then I was for the things she was doing to me. Personally I suggest the same thing to you. Pray for that person three times a day at a minimum. The more that they upset you, the more you should pray for them. Eventually God will handle you problem like he handled my problem. Your problem isn't the other person, and what they're doing to you, your problem is self, and not knowing how to handle the situation. The CurtMan |

56 | What is Mark of Cain? Where in the Bilbe | Gen 4:15 | TheCurtMan | 90449
The bible, to my knowledge does not specifically states what the mark of Cain is. However, there are some who believe that the Mark of Cain is the darkening of the skin, the widening of the nose and lips. None of this is verified through scripture. Mind if I ask how this question came about?? The CurtMan |

58 | What is this "active force"? | John 3:16 | TheCurtMan | 88096
What is God's Active Force?? God's Active Force is what you get when you inaccurately translate the bible from what God ment it to be to what the adversary wants it to be. You are right, the Holy Spirit is a He and not an it. The same doctrine that calls the Holy Spirit 'God's Active Force' gives more credit to the adversary being a person than the Holy Spirit.
