261 | How may faith be made stronger? | Prov 3:5 | Hank | 3821
Many Christians I have known, including myself, have confessed that they at times have felt that their faith (or trust) in God was not as strong as it should have been. Please share your experience and suggest helps for believers who have struggled, or may now be struggling, with this problem. And in keeping with the aims of this Forum, be sure to base your comments on the written Word. --Hank

263 | Is Bible study important? | 2 Tim 2:15 | Hank | 3618
This question is intended to stimulate thought and comment from users of the Forum. How important is it for Christians to engage in regular and serious Bible study, and why? Please refer to 2 Timothy 2:15 and 1 Peter 3:15. In your comment please use these verses or other Biblical references that speak to the question.
264 | Favorite Bible study tools? | Bible general Archive 1 | Hank | 3297
What are your favorite Bible study tools? Or do you not use any? I've found these useful:CONCORDANCES: Strong's (or Crudens) for KJV; NASB Exhaustive (NIV Exhaustive if you use NIV for study and reference)STUDY BIBLES: MacArthur (has NKJV text; Ryrie (available with NASB, KJV, or NIV text); NASB Study Bible (has NASB text with NIV Study Bible notes) published by Zondervan. COMMENTARIES: An excellent and inexpensive one-volume commentary of the entire Bible is "Believer's Bible Commentary" by William MacDonald, published by Thomas Nelson.BIBLE DICTIONARIES: These are so abundant they are weighed, not counted! But investigate before you buy. Some are quite liberal. I like Holman's for general use. It's conservative and has a generous splash of beautiful color photographs of Bible lands.HOW TO BOOKS: Kay Arthur's sound, practical, no-nonsense book, "How To Study Your Bible" can be helpful to just about anyone who wishes to "hide the word in his heart." 265 | Money root of all evil? | 1 Tim 6:10 | Hank | 3259
You've probably heard "Money is the root of all evil." What's wrong with that statement? What are some of the ways money can be a trap for the believer? Can you cite anyone in the Bible whose money may have come between him and the Lord? [This question is the same as an earlier submission, which contained a goofy typo blunder. Now the secret is out: Hank's not perfect. Sorry to disappoint you!]

Most of us have heard someone say, "One religion is as good as another." Is this statement incompatible with what the Bible teaches? Non-Christian religions, Hinduism or Islam for example -- are they as "good" as Christianity? As valid?

269 | Easter Bunnies...or Risen Lord? | John 11:25 | Hank | 2754
Here are a few questions, the answers and notes on which may help us all better to understand and celebrate this important season of the resurrection of our Lord. The word "Easter" is found in but one translation that is in common use? Which? What does Easter really mean? Do we actually know the time of year when the events of Holy Week took place? Who saw the Risen Christ first? What were His first words after His resurrection? How was Jesus different after His resurrection? How many people saw Him between His resurrection and His ascension? Were there doubters, even during this time? What about Easter bunnies and eggs? Do they have anything to do with the Christian celebration of Easter? Please do use Biblical references, but add if you feel moved, a brief witness of what this glorious event means to you.

271 | What about human cloning? | Gen 2:7 | Hank | 2749
We hear more and more about cloning. It's already happened in the animal world. Will human cloning be next? How would this impact the Christian community? Should human cloning be encouraged? Legalized? Would a human clone have a soul and spirit? What is your sense of what the Bible may or may not say, explicitly or implicitly, about human cloning? Do you think this is a vital issue for Christians to become involved in?What say ye all?
272 | Your exegesis of Ecclesiastes 12:!3? | Eccl 12:13 | Hank | 2518
The NASB phrasing in Ecclesiastes 12:13 "because this applies to every person" strikes me as curious. Most versions render it "this is the whole [duty] of man" or something very similiar. What's your exegesis?
