24 | I NEED A TRUE FRIEND THAT IS A CHRISTIAN | Bible general Archive 3 | winningside | 178460
Hi MommieSadie, Your message sounds like one I would have wrote years ago. Desperate for an answer and no answer was good enough. In fact, I still do not have that special christian friend. I have many christian acquaintances. But you know, God is good. He gives you what you need when you need it. Maybe God only wants me talking to him for now because my life sure is a mess too. Maybe God has set you apart for himself for now. To give yourself to prayer and study. People will come and go but God is here to stay. He knows you need someone or something in your life. He does not turn a deaf hear to those who love and obey him. Just give it to God. Everything is in his hands. He will give you what you need. But please do not give your address to anyone over the internet even on a christian website. All though, I am sure most regulars on this site are wonderful. There are still those on here who are just passing by. God can send you someone locally. Don't give up. Be of good courage and "stand" for the Lord. Psalm 4:3-4 [3] But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. [4] Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Psalm 27:14 Wait on the lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart. |

28 | Seven (7) Feasts | Lev 23:1 | winningside | 176065
Could someone please help me to understand the 7 feast in Leviticus. I read an article this morning which states that "The seven feasts found in Leviticus 23 give us a divine blueprint for the future of the world." It also says that the feasts are a glimpse of the future and a shadow of the glorious things to come. Can someone please explain this to me in more detail. Thank you in advance for your help and time. --------- winningside
29 | what is a backslider? | Deut 4:9 | winningside | 162856
Backsliding is when you turn away from God. Read Deut 29:18, 1 Sam 15:11, 1 King 11:4, Ps 85:8, Jeremiah 2:19. Also it might help to do a search on once saved always saved. I just completed that study and it might be helpful to you. |

30 | what does the bible say about suicide | Deut 5:17 | winningside | 164932
Hi Idardeen, In Job 3:1-3 Job cursed the day he was born. He was covered with Boils and wanted to die. His wife kept telling him to just curse God and die, but Job did not. In the end, he was blessed. He was given double of what he had lost and really blessed because he pressed through. God loves all people on this earth and he has a plan an purpose for everyone. We are not to look at our circumstances, but look to God. And he will keep us strong until he ready to take us home. Job 3:1-3 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day. And Job spake, and said, Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived. 3:4 Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it. 2 peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Isaiah 26:3,4 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength Acts 16:27, 28 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. |

What is wrong with this site. I have been a member for about a year now, and have asked several times. "Where is the love and compassion" People are chewed up, spit out, torn to pieces, called names, judged because they asked a question that doesn't measure up to your standards. You belittle them because they are maybe not a scholar such as yourself. Some people, like myself, are just regular church-going people who are trying their best to learn and grow. And all they get is belittled and threatened to be kicked out this wonder, scholar filled site. It is a few wonderful people on this site, but there are also quite a few that I am speaking of and you know who you are with your self-righteous selves. You don't have to threaten to kick me off just do it. But take it to heart. You will answer for your behavior some day. Examine yourselves. Yes I know, I need to examine myself too. -------- winningside

Biblical love is pulling someone from the pits of hell. A sinner going down the wrong path. Correcting with a strong hand if need be. Not tearing to pieces another christian for asking a question. Not all people are on the same level at one time. You didn't start out "all-knowing" you learn and grow step-by-step. Sometimes you have to ask yourself "how would I answer this question if I were face to face with this person?" It is a brave thing to have the confort of looking at a computer screen. Rebuking with love is one thing and tearing to pieces is entirely another. Ecclesiasters 7:16 Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself? ------- winningside |

I do not feel that I need to spend my time reviewing every answer given on this site and referring to a ID#. Anyone who has been a member of this site any length of time knows the few that I am referring too, as you know. Instead, why don't we all go back and read through our own post as I have just done and judge ourselves. Amen. I will not argue back and forth trying to justify my position -------- winningside

35 | God's Holy Mountain | Ezek 28:16 | winningside | 164980
Hi fwiaskycap, Below are a few bible verses I found on "holy mountain" Hope this helps. Is 66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. Dan 9:16 O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us. Zechariah 8:3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. |

Hi NightJay0044, From what I have studed, many times in the bible when speaking of the tribulation it is referred to as 1260 days and 42 months. Half of the tribulation period such as in Rev 13:5. And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. (3-1/2 years) I am sorry that I can not be more helpful but I hope this gives you a good starting point in your studies. winningside |

38 | The AntiChrist | Dan 9:27 | winningside | 165143
From what I read out of the KJV bible. It is days not years. Revelation 9:24 ***Seventy weeks*** are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Revelation 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be ***** seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: **** the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there **** a thousand two hundred and threescore (days).***** |

39 | Can you please explain tithing? | Malachi | winningside | 163221
Malachi3:8-10 "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. i sincerely hope that this answers your question. I use to try to give it to the poor and do what I wanted with my tithes, but God says to bring the tithes into the storehouse. Our responsiblity is give to the local church that is spiritually feeding us, that is what we are commanded to do. After that, God will deal with the local church with what HE wants done with the money. But you have done your part. You gave to your local church. It is now out of your hands and you will be blessed. As for giving to the poor and to another church, that should be an additional offering. God Bless! |
