Val, I totally agree in that his atonement has abolished the curse of the law not it's moral guidelines. That is the job of the false Christ who will usher in Lawlessness. We can't repent from Sin(breaking God's Law) and then willfully continuing breaking God's Law and claim that our faith abolishes morality(Rom.3:31). Our faith in fact produces good works(james 2) |

23 | Difference between guilt and conviction? | Rom 2:14 | ovadyah | 211208
Peace to you EQ1, Paul informs us your state of guilt has caused a conviction from the Holy Spirit. This is a good sign because it shows God's Law is written upon your heart. Your conscience is bearing witness 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) (Rom.2:14-15)!! Praise God, Ovadyah |

25 | Wishful praying? | John 14:13 | ovadyah | 211196
Shalom Azure, I would have to agree. The instruction is not given to those who are disbelievers. If so then imagine what these folks would ASK for!? This message is to "Christians",i.e., people who are learning to be like-christ. The Father will give Christ whatever He wished for, so would it not make sense he would do the same if we become Christ-like. Christ wouldn't asked the Father for anything that contradict the will of The Father. Furthermore, look what Christ added... 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. 15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments(Cf.Mt.5:17-19,Rev.14:12, Rev.12:17). |

26 | ... | Eph 2:15 | ovadyah | 211195
Shalom Cheri, Yes, because within the very same letter Paul demands obedience to Torah (6:1). Imagine if someone wrote within the same letter your God's Law is abolished and ended with obey God's Law especially the first one with a promise! I would seriously be concerned with that person. Yes, I probally would email you with concerns/questions, thanks for the offer. This message board design is a little out dated (no offense) and not too user friendly. |
