25 | Did pharisees understand/epexct baptism | John 1:25 | elder4yhwh | 232954
Yes indeed it appears that they had some type of expectancy from the indidvuals listed. I can't find the word baptise in the Old Testament so that fact that John was baptizing people in repentance, and to put some much importance on it being carried out in one's life. In the Old Testament their was no forgiveness of sin unless you offered a sacificed animal. They understood the Law but for John to make that statement that lead me to believe that's why the question was asked. Now they read (Isa 40:3-5) that a voice was going to be crying in the wilderness and since John said he was that person Elias spoke of they automatically assumed that he was the Christ. (John 1:1-31) |

26 | Why did Jesus get baptized | Matt 3:13 | elder4yhwh | 232952
John already answered that question by stating what his purpose for being baptized (Mat 3:11) and it was prophised that he would be full of righteousness (Jer 23:5-7) be blessed |

27 | Did u know Jesus filled this? | Lev 23:2 | elder4yhwh | 232951
edb, This is why I say these "days" should be reconized until the return of Christ. The Day of Atonement has been fulfilled through his blood because He is the Atonement (ref already given above) These days points towards Christ so I memoralized them (keep them holy) Christ did away with the things that was against me by nailing it to the cross, so I don't worry if people judge (condemn) in my honoring those days. Now I realize that those days are a shadow of things to come but the body is Christ (Col 2:14-17) People reconize the 4th of July, Mother's Day, Labor Day etc. for it's particular use but once again those days were not deemed "holy" as God's Feast Days (Lev 23:2) |

28 | Jesus was right n every way | Matt 12:2 | elder4yhwh | 232938
Why do you think that whatever Jesus said or did the Pharisees/Saducess was against him? Some say b/c they said that he exalted himaself aboove God. Jesus'mission was to save people from there sins through his redemptive blood and the Pharisees didn't beleve that he was the Christ etc. My point is that Jesus must have been doing the right thing in every aspect of his ministry. So whatever he did I will try to find myself doing be blessed |

Did you know that Jesus fulfilled the Feast Days? Sabbath commemorates God's creation Ex 20:8-11; John 1:1-3 Passover commemorates his redemptive blood/death 1 Cor 1:7; John 1:29, Col 1:12-17 Holy Ghost commemorated on Pentecost (Feast of Weeks) Acts 2:38 The Feast of Trumpets commemorates the warning God is given us through his Son Jesus Christ until he returns Isa 58:1; I Cor 15:51-52 The cleasing work of the blood of Jesus Christ is commemorated in the Day of Atonement Rom 5:6-11; Heb 9:8-14 The final judgement of mankind rests with Jesus. This is commemorated in The Feast of Tabernacles Mat 25:31-46; Rev 21:1-8 This is how I perceive Jesus in the Lev 23:2 it was all fulfilled through Jesus (Mat 5:17) |

36 | Sunday Sabbath or not? | Ex 20:8 | elder4yhwh | 232930
edb and beja, I'm sorry to read that you two have went to such far estream(s). God said the day is "holy" and he gets the last word not these authors you guys are talking about. You can say dispensational/antinomianism the Sabbath is still holy because God made it holy (the day) I know people say seven means complete and all that good stuff but the day is holy why?? because God said it is. Jesus came down here to save man (John 3:16) Guess what though the s Sabbath is still holy Alot of people won't enter into that Sabbath rest because of unbeilief (Heb 4:6) But the Sabbath is still holy the Pharisees acussed him of breaking the Sabbath because he healed a man (Mat 12:10) But the Sabbath is still holy. Paul said let not man judge you for meat/drinks, Sabbath, New Moons (Col 2:16) But the Sabbath day is still holy. Sidebar that word judge means "to condemn" not to "sentence" you may follow that sidebar up if you so desire. Jesus said that is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28) And the Sabbath Day is still holy the day itself will always be holy becuase God said is. So if anyone can show me in scripture where God/Jesus say the the Sabbath is no longer "holy" I will glady change my position on the Sabbath being a holy day. By the way a woman was made for a man (by God) Gen 2:18 so he wouldn't be alone. Jesus said: The Sabbath was man for man (Mark 2:27) so he can rest from his labor I want to point out woman for man (made by God) Sabbath for man (made by God) so no matter how we slice it God is the Creater of all things John 1:3 and he created the Sabbath for purpose of rest both nagturally and spiritually as well. And one more time for the road the Sabbath day is holy becuase God said it is. |

39 | Sunday Sabbath or not? | Ex 20:8 | elder4yhwh | 232888
I don't know where you received your information from but in the Hebrew text Sabbath means "rest". When you talk about creation, redemption, glory that's all self included in the Sabbath through Christ.
