Dear Doc accoring to Ephesians 4 and 11 also 1 Corithians 12 and 28 do you think God still calls men as Apostles not so much in the general since but in the broader since. More along the lines of starting different minsitries at home or abroad, not some much in exercising the that the original apostles did but more along the lines of establishing things.

justme this is devon and I agree with you totally for sometimes we are caught up on what each letter of the Word says that when the Spirit of God speaks rhema to our spirit we can't receive it because we have become so dogmatic in our approach to scripture that we over look that the bible teaches it is Spirit who leads us to all truth. I'm just focused on help belivers mature in the gifts that God has given them and not to become stagnent in their spiritual growth. P.S. please respond asap

Dear freind the word logos is GREEK and refers to Jesus as being the Word of God with in turn is the scipture. Now dealing with rhema it does not contridict the logos but it is the Spirit of God applying and giving understanding to what is already written. Now according to this scipture you quoted I still belive that Paul was not stopping women from operating in their calling or using thier spiritual giftedness but that under the proper authority which is man to function in their full compacity. This belive this is important because many men I being one have hindered many women from their calling. Let me further clarify I understand that God has created us equally in that because I'm a man God hears me better but that we were given different roles. This not to diminish or reject the role as mother, wife, helpmeet which are all important. But to the dismay of some God has gifted many women with the ability to teach and as the call of prophetess just nust not pastor in which they would have to take authority over a man. Remember that after Jesus rose from the dead accorinding to Matthew 28 and 1- 10 it was Mary Magdelene he told to tell his disciples he had risen which in other words is the Gospel. please respond

DEAR FRIEND I CAN SEE YOUR PASSION ON THIS ISSUE AND IT IS VALID. BUT MY BELIEF IS NOT TO SAY THAT GOD WORD ISN'T THE FINAL AND THE END OF ALL DEBATE. BUT IN MANY INSTANCES GOD SPEAKS TO US BY HIS SPIRIT ACCORIDNG TO HIS WORD NOT TO THE EXCLUSION BUT THROUGH THE INCLUSION OF IT ACCORIDING TO DIALOGUE BETWEEN ELIJAH HAD WITH GOD ON MT. SINAI AS FLEED FROM JEZEEBEL. IT'S THE PRIVATE SESSION WITH GOD IN QUIETNESS THAT GOD SPEAKS TO YOU AND REPROVES. PLEASE TRY NOT TO WORK THE WORD BUT LET HIS WORK YOU. YOUR IN CHRIST devon..

dear DOC IT'S GOOD TOM HEAR FROM YOU AND SOMEONE ELSE'S UNDERSTANDING ON GOD'S WORD I DO BELIVE IN THE OFFICE AND USE OF THE PROPHET IN TODAY'S CHURCH. I BELIVE THAT THE PERSON OF HIS PROPHET MAKES HIS UNWRITTEN WILL CLEAR TO THE LIFE OF US INDIVUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY AS BETWEEN AGABUS AND PAUL IN ACTS 11 AND 28 ALSO ACTS 21, 10 ,12. I REPEAT THE SAME COMMETS AS JUSTME IN THIS IS ONLY SECONDARY AND NOT IMPORTANT CONCERNING SALVATION IT'S GOOD TO HAVE SOMEONE TO DISCUSS THESE THINGS WITH AND FOR THERE TO BE NO JUDGING JUST THE CONTIUNING IN PRAYER FOR EACH OTHER GOD LOVE ALWAYS BEING OUR STANDARD. YOUR BROTHER IN CHRIST devon. please respond asap.
39 | Biblical era culture, abd Understanding | 1 Tim 2:12 | devon | 161511
Hi, DOC When I say secondary I mean as essentail for our salvation. Because if we take this just as what it says and not seeking a clear understanding of what is meant then women are allowed to even speak in church. We all both know this is not what he meant. I study in reference to content and context and also thru prayer. Because I began my christian journey with the same understanding on this text, but God the HOLY SPIRIT would give peace on this until I sought the truth. Now if I'm wrong I have no probelm with changing belief, but in this brother I truly belive God has a place in our weekly gathering for women. I know I'm not using many scriptures that because i'm expressing my heart felt belief to you friend. Just because many people go to different schools and PhD'S on these subjects my has always been and will always be God the Holy Spirit. Sometimes I belive we are caught on different understandings of verse of text and that okay, but I don't want to be held responsible for not allowing someone to exercise their God given gifts. Now I belive women can excercise their ability to teach to benefit the entire body because by this she is not taking authority over a man, she's just teaching God's Word. I belive women preachers or teachers but not pastors and if I'm wrong then please correct me and I will relent from this argument. your brother, devon |

Doc the question I'm asking is do you belive that God would call women to preach His WORD to a mixed congregation not as thier pastor , bishop or overseer. Just to be a messenger for him in mixed congregations of men and women. And if not please explain to me how God will aniont them in delivering his message. Because I"ve meet some women who are unmistakably anointed by God.
